Luckily dortmund the one that wasted the chance. I have always had my doubts for Thomas Tuchel. I don't think he is the best coach for Bayern Munich who will take them back to Champions League victory. Me and you understands that even if Tuchel wins the Bundesliga for Bayern Munich,  it will not be counted as a great fit for him because they are used to the Bundesliga title.
Bayern will only talk about best season if they are able to win the Champions League, anything less than that cannot be said to be the best season for Bayern.

I disagree that Bayern Munich does not have special players. They have De Ligt, Alphonso Davies, Kimmich, Sane and Musiala for example. All of them have a market value of at least 60 Million €. So if those are not special or world class players, then i don't know. Maybe it is true that Bayern Munich does not have that single player stand is standing above everyone else like Dortmund had it in the last few years with Haaland and Bellingham, but that is not because Bayern Munich does not have great player it is because Bayern has many great players. Looking at the current squad of Dortmund without Bellingham i don't see a single Dortmund player that would make it into the starting 11 of Bayern.

The problem for the Champions League I think this cannot only be based on the coach but this also has to be seen from the condition of the players.
