Even though my symathies towards Bayern Munich are definitely higher than the one for Borussia dortmund i am also not really happy with that transfer. First of all i think it will definitely weaken Dortmund quite a bit because Guerrero definitely was one of their best players. At the same time though i think that he will have a very hard time to get into the starting Eleven of Bayern. I just don't think that he is stronger than any of the current Bayern players. He is very versatile though.

Guerrero was getting last season again a good player as he has got long time down , but yeah he is for sure a loss for Dortmund and good thing for Bayern Munich.
I guess he will be for sure working hard to get into the starting Team and he has the quality for that.
But yes its always hard at Bayern Munich to get into team , best example was Mane last season.

Guerrero is a left-back who is likely to only be a back-up at Bayern Munich. We know at the moment that position is still being filled by Alphonse Davies unless he leaves it's likely Guerrero will get regular time in that position. There have been rumors about Alphonse Davies being linked with Real Madrid until now and it looks like Bayern Munich have made preparations just in case before Davies leaves Bayern Munich. But I hope whoever it is will continue to give the best for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga next season, especially to defend the previous title.

Leverkusen has been receiving financial support from Bayer the pharmaceutical producer for a long while now. That is why they could afford above average salaries and they are also a team that is popular by young players who want a club where they can play and develop further and then take the next step. For Xabi Alonso these are good conditions as it seems that he has a good connection with younger talents and at the same time he can build a quality team since they don't have to let all the talented players go every year. Years ago Leverkusen has been a strong rival for the top four and I think Alonso can get them there.

Bayer Leverkusen is one of the best club in Bundesliga and their finances and talent project are also helping them for having better results even in last season they were badly down and out but management done good decision at right time and have coach like Xabi Alonso which helps them for having dream end of their season even in last few matches they were badly down and lost the chance for the higher place but still it's good end for them in both events with losing against Roma was also interesting because they have done good job in this semifinal.

Now Xabi Alonso is understanding all which is surely going to help him for having good strategy which helps him for having better end of this season in both events with some big trophy can do good magic for them as well.

Almost all clubs need money and maybe not all clubs do the same thing as Dortmund, if in the future they do not increase targets and still make this a business, then the club will be difficult to compete in any competition and the Bundesliga is only a part of the hope for them to achieve. Jude Belllingham became one of the talented players this season who they released to Real Madrid and who else was their target in the upcoming transfer market.

Dortmund realized all of this and they did not try to change their perspective in the club and all they thought was to sell players at high prices after going through the skill formation process. The DFB Cup matches were drawn at the weekend. Bayern München will play against Preussen Münster who have just been promoted to Liga 3. Dortmund will play against Schott Mainz from League 5 and Leipzig will play against Wehen Wiesebaden. Wehen Wiesbaden have just been promoted to Liga 2. The first round matches will take place from 11-14 August 2023.

Bayern and Dortmund shouldn't have problems although it would not be the first time that a 1. Bundesliga team loses against a 3. Bundesliga team, but i wouldn't expect that. The least comfortable game is probably for Leipzig against Wehen Wiesbaden. 2. Bundesliga clubs aren't as easy to beat as it may sound and Wiesbaden will be 1000% motivated after having been promoted and now getting the chance to knock out Leipzig in their home stadium. it often depends on how those games start I think. An early goal for the favorite usually slows the game down in favor of the favorite. Most of the other games aren't really that interesting.

There is a saying: The DFB Cup has its own rules. Therefore, there will be surprises in the first round. For the underdogs it is a dream to play against these 3 teams. But as you have already written, Wehen Wiesbaden and Preussen Münster are not underdogs in this case. They have gained a lot of self-confidence through their promotions. They probably will not win. But hopefully they will not make it easy for their opponents.

That is mostly how it goes with surprises in that competition, but this time there aren't too many games where I would say that it could be tougher than expected for the 1. Bundesliga teams. I assume that most will get to the next round quite easily. My guess is as I said before that Wiesenbaden vs. Leipzig could be the biggest surprise of all as the match is set up in an interesting way between the DFB Cup winner of last season and a team that played two strong games to be promoted against Arminia Bielefeld.

Leipzig have lost Nkunku who is one of their important players to Chelsea now. He was the top scorer of the season in the Bundesliga together with Fullkrug. There are still Andre Silva and Timo Werner in the squad of course. This might be seen as a chance for them to be the main striker of the team. However I still have doubts about them for now.

Because they played in quite many games this season but the number of goals each of them scored is really low compared to the number of games they played. Leipzig need at least one of them to improve their finishing skills more to get ready for next season. This is important to keep their consistency in top 4.

One of the seasons (I think it was 2019) they even had like a 200 million budget publicly, probably didn't spent as much, but that's how rich they are. So, I think losing a few players would not really hurt them, they could just end up spending a lot of money to replace those players.

The problem is that, even as a rich club, they can't be as good as Bayern or Dortmund, usually third team, so they need to do something differently, approach the game a bit differently, so that they could end up with a better result, they should be winning the title with that much money.

Even though they are rich as you said they don't have very big goals in the Bundesliga as it seems. Otherwise they could have transferred many bigger talents so far to make the team more competitive for titles. Of course it isn't easy to convince top players to come but spending the needed amount would have made things a little easier for them.

However they have never made such signing so far. I don't remember them paying an incredible amount of money for even one player for many years. They are just building a squad a little over the average level and that is enough for them to make it to the Champions League as well. Because the roles these players have played in are different actually. Because Edson Alvarez is more of a player adopting a defense-oriented game. Dortmund's squad is young. There are not enough experienced players in the squad. And when a player becomes experienced, the Dortmund management sells them. As for why they sold Haaland. Probably, dortmund was not lucky enough at the last match against mainz. To be honest, if it's the most important match but it seems like that all the players seemed nervous to mee to face mainz as the final match that would be determining the win or lose for dortmund last season.

Bayern was lucky enough caused by dortmund was not lucky at that moment. Mainz seems even a strong opponent at that time by conceded dortmund two goals before dortmund was making its revenge but the said thing if dortmund can only get draw against mainz.

I knew how bad reaction from reus to see its team failed to win the bundesliga again even though it's only 1 step ahead of him to take the trophy.

Maybe Borussia Dortmund sees the potential in him and can become a player who can replace Jude Bellingham who left for Real Madrid next season.

I think it is not about trophies or success short term, I think it's more about the fact that they need to build a sustainable club. I do not know how they can do that, because if you have a team that has a good amount of fan base then you should be earning an income, but success would mean more income of course, that's the point.

I think the best thing about the current situation is that Dortmund could end up working as hard as possible and they could end up with nothing at all if they do not have the money for it. But if they can keep getting young players and sell at least one player for this high, that would mean they can get a lot better, that's the whole point. I believe that it would be a lovely idea and should be considered as the best thing to do for them.

In Budeseliga, only 25% of TV broadcasting rights revenue is divided equally among the contestants, the remainder is distributed according to performance in the league. that's why, Munich remained financially healthy and they became a dominating club.

Back to Dortmund, I often review it in several posts that Dortmund was almost bankrupt. and finally, the Jurgen Klopp era came and they started to produce talented players. then, they released it at a high price. By the way, I'm still in the light of Dortmund's glorious era and my favorite player is Jan Koller.

The departure of some important players destabilized the club. Seeing how bad the performance of dortmund in the last match against mainz makes me think if dortmund will perform even badly next season.
