Dortmund management focuses on certain players each season. And try hard to make these players experienced. Dortmund have a number of talented players in their squad. However, their overall squad performance is not very good. And when a Dortmund midfielder or striker joins a big club like City, Munich or Madrid, their performance becomes even stronger. The main reason for this is the strong performance of teams like Madrid and City. Their midfield and attack are also strong. This is why they get a lot of support from other team players. So naturally their performance becomes more dynamic. We see Haaland and Bellingham scoring a lot of goals.

Mainly it's because Dortmund management is more business minded than getting or winning trophies,Haland was in Dortmund and was given the attention and much needed training so as to keep his value up enough for them to make good profit from his sales which was what they achieved, so these players tend to thrive better at othe teams because at Dortmund they were training.
Mentioned it in ones of my post few days back that Dortmund has now looked like a breeding ground for good brilliant and young talent, a we have seen this play out in most of the season. Where they train players and sell them off , if some of this players were to be in Dortmund till date I think they would be stronger than Leverkusen or Munich
Currently they may be focused on some players who will be potential means to increase their pockets by the end of the season that's why how well this players shine in Dortmund isn't much of a problem to them but they make sure the players get so good enough to be marketable regardless they will still perform well by mid season and be sure to finish amongst the top five teams.

No matter how business minded the Borussia Dortmund management wants to be, they should know that Borussia Dortmund should've been one of the strongest clubs in not just in Germany but in Europe at large.
I think the club should stop the policy of always selling their best players to another club but rather they should build a strong team that'll be major contenders for German and European competition in coming years from now. We must break the deadlock

The truth is that despite the fact that they're always selling their best players at the end of every season, Borussia Dortmund has a way of still performing well in the German Bundesliga. How they've managed to always finish the season in the top four position despite the selling of their best players remains a surprise to me and so many other football faithfuls.
However, I think they should've been more competitive in not just the German Bundesliga but also in Europe have they kept some of the big players that's left the club. The club's management is for a fact making good profits with their transfer policies but football is more measured by the number of trophies a club wins than the amount they make in profits.

As long as the club is still comfortable with what it does each season and as long as many fans are quite happy with their current condition even though there are also many who demand that they do more then I think things like this will continue.
The conditions that Dortmund are doing are not just from one or two seasons but this kind of strategy has started when they were in the previous decade where Lewandowski was the opening for them to sell star players even to their own rival clubs.

An example of their loyalty was also seen at the end of last season where Signal Iduna Prak was filled with almost all fans of Dortmund and even it came out of the stadium in their last match against Mainz because they were preparing for the euphoria of the champions but failed in the last match instead of them getting angry and expressing frustration but instead they encouraged players who were slumping it was one of the craziest loyalties for a fan even though they must be difficult to accept the harsh reality where they must be willing to lose the trophy in the last match but they are still able to keep and protect players from getting too down because of their failure.

Yeah maybe Sancho couldn't adapt to Manchester United but he isn't actually a bad player at the end of the day.

I really agree with you because Sancho had great talent when he was at Dortmund and he also has good history there and failure at Manchester United not mean he has bad talent but just failed to unite his thoughts with his coach and became problem that made everything crumble.

Yes, we must appreciate it because it is very much needed in football, especially for a club. But Borussia Dortmund should also not be selfish in this case, they should be able to give something to their very loyal supporters. Personally, I'm proud of Dortmund, they understand their game and the tactics to win and also get to make the money, I will never crucify them for it. And as for the record, they are a very strong club to reckon with, they are always finishing atop regardless of how they use young players, and they actually understand the game and the business. Even at their current status, they are just 2 points below the top spot, which is the same level as Bayern Munich as well.

I believe that if Dortmund could be more serious this season, they might toughly displace Bayern Munich and win the season. I judge this by how Bayern plays, it might not be obvious yet but it's not perfectly like when they are in their utmost form.

There is nothing wrong with doing business in the football industry and that is what they do to make a profit. If the business is run like the one run by the owner of Dortmund, they will never achieve the club's achievements. The reason is that they only focus on selling players and never try to buy quality players at high prices. I agree with you, this is the angle at which the club should equally focus or pay more attention to, in the sense that while they do business as usual selling those key players, they should also ensure that the club is still living up to their expectations by winning trophies without the club feeling of the negative impacts in term of the player departure affecting the overall performance of the team because of their contribution to the club.

I agree with you, that's what big clubs always offer their target players, apart from big salaries, the chance to win trophies in every competition. In addition to success as a team, individual awards also follow naturally. Only a few players stay and are loyal to their club, and I think that is very natural because it provides mutual benefits. I'm sick and tire of the whole system because it's really messed up and will take a long period of time before things finally bounces back to the current best condition. I would suggests an open source for the Dortmund fans, they should match up and go to Signal-Iduna-Park stadium and protests vividly because things are definitely blowing out of proportion. Dortmund has confirm about this before because why they didn't stopped to selling their talented players is because Dortmund need money and besides that Dortmund too has admit that they are not a rich team just like Bayern Munich so selling talented players is good to managed their financial status because at least their financial conditions is still good until now although they always be lose to compete with Bayern Munich for each seasons for race title but it won't be a big deal for them because Dortmund owners is not giving high target to every Dortmund managers and also Dortmund cannot unable to give high salary to their players so those who want to earn high salary and the trophies they can leave this team so that's why we always be see Dortmund selling their talented players for each seasons

Every club has its own way of managing its team, they know what to do especially in business to get profits and one of them as usual they utilize from player sales. We can see how Dortmund now, they are always consistent in their business, have the ability to form players who were originally ordinary to be extraordinary then they will sell them at fantastic prices even to their own rivals.

But in my opinion in general they also cannot if they continue to focus on the benefits of selling players, because obviously if it is done very often then maybe they will find it difficult to balance the team's performance in each competition because they are busy with taking care of the entry and exit of players, and also of course adaptation which is a serious problem when they are struggling to win trophies or other victories.

I do not think that football is there to make "profit", it is there to increase the value of the team for the owners, but not make a profit, you spend money to increase the value. Lets assume that you have a smaller club that worths 100 million, these days very rarely top teams worth that, but lets assume that you have a smaller one, barely relegating or not even in this league.

You end up spending 25 million euro on that club this year, so suddenly you are down 25 million, but if you club is now worth 150 million, that means you have made a profit, turned a 100 million club to 150 million club by spending just 25 million and that extra 25 million is your profit. This is why many celebs and rich people are buying teams, they want to spend money but gain more on the value. If you buy United for 8 billion, and they have no debt, no issues, you own 100% of the club, and you spent 1 billion on transfers, that means 9 billion total spent, but the club is now worth 10 billion? That means you made 1 billion in profit.

Yes, it is true that many players were born good at Dortmund, such as Dembele and Haaland and others. It is true that you mentioned that the team always prioritizes business interests within the club, to maintain the team's finances, but winning the league trophy is much more profitable and being able to appear in prestigious leagues such as the Champions League, if the league performs consistently. Actually, the Dortmund team is solid in every match and has lots of bright young talent. Dortmund experiences the unlucky factor every year in winning the league.

They do it because they have to.
With every single player they sold in recent years they tried to negotiate a new contract with better money to keep the player another 1-2 years, every single player rejected because they were off to higher goals, better teams and of course more money.
They tried to extend Haaland, Bellingham, Sancho, Aubameyang, Dembele. If you would actually read German news articles about this you all wouldn't write such nonsense. All you jump on are news that the player was sold, from international media. If you inform yourself deeper, from more sources you would see the facts.

Why would they try to spend more money to extend these players if all they want is a profit from a sell? Of course they want money, but they first and foremost want titles. Titles bring money, better sponsorships and more exposure.
