Under normal circumstances, Bayern Munich would be the big favorites. But they have a team with the most extraordinary statistics in history. I think that whatever Vincent Kompany does, he will first and foremost have to wait for Bayer Leverkusen to perform worse than last season. Kompany failed in low-league teams like Burnley and I'm not even convinced by the way kompany coached burnley. Kompany helped burnleyback to the EPL but he had been also brought burnley back to the championship division. I believe the future season will be similar to the present season. There is no capable squad that can prevent Leverkusen from maintaining its current record. Xabi should have learned from his club's loss against Atalanta.

I also have doubts about the ability of Bundesliga teams when it comes to assembly a unique strategy. I meant that I rarely saw a team conducting multiple experiments, such as man on man marking like atlanata did. Gasperini has shown us how a man-on-man marking system had completely stop a squad that is always constructing its attack from the bottom which was often used by xabi alonso.

There is a reason for this hope that competition in the Bundesliga will become interesting when there is a change to another club which always holds the Bundesliga title and we hope that Leverkusen will be successful again, it all depends on the match schedule and also the players.
When Leverkusen does not sell its main players or even add new players with reliable talent, Leverkusen's performance will definitely improve, but you also have to look at the pressure that Leverkusen will face when they have a busier schedule than before.

I understand the point but for me, not every manager can have the same success as Xabi Alonso. Because of course, every manager has different skills and thus, the luck factor also plays a role in a success. As of Nuri Şahin's taking over, I believe we can see a good improvement from Dortmund in the Bundesliga next season. Some will say he isn't an experienced manager and yeah it is the truth. He is very young at the same time. However as he has a big history with Dortmund as a player I believe he would know what can be better for this team to be more effective. 

Terzic did a wonderful job in the Champions League of course. I have a big respect for that. He couldn't do the same in the Bundesliga but hopefully Nuri Şahin will improve there as well. It would be nice to see Dortmund back in the Bundesliga title competition.

Alonso got consistent performances  with Bayer Leverkusen throughout the season and his results would have been even more valuable had he been able to win the EL final. Those coaches who can achieve long-term stable results are valued, if Alonso doesn’t achieve anything with Bayer next season, the attitude towards him will also change, they will say that he was just lucky, or even regarding the final, a strong team could beat Atalanta, which means luck also played its part role for Alonso.

Xabi Alonso will have to maintain last season's performance if he wants to still be held in high regard in Bayer Leverkusen. Club management don't really give a damn about your past performance because they want current results. It will be difficult for Leverkusen to replicate the unbeaten run next season but they should at least make a mark in the UCL League next season.

I will not totally accept that the loss to Atalanta proved that Xabi was lucky because they enjoyed an unbeaten run until they played the Europa League finals. Alonso built a good team that had all the quality to win games and they achieved much. For me, I will say that they were just unlucky to lose their most important game for the season.
