Yes I think it's time for bitcoin to shine but i still think we have not achieved anything expect for the 'blockchain'

The most big achievement of bitcoin is to have been created, to exist and to go from zero value at 430 us dollar in the moment I am writing. Without having no one to help it except itself and its followers. In other words: an orphan. Even with all its followers. Which are much less powerful than them who take care for us dollar. Can you imagine the possibilities that have an orphan to survive compared to a rich boy? If yes you can understand easily the power and the greatness of bitcoin which have 430 times the value of us dollar. So, not only 2016 but every year since its born have been the year of bitcoin. Even after the bankruptcy of Mt Gox which shook its foundations.

This month has been no sign of bitcoin price increases, may be getting up again, hopefully this will rise to $ 500 in February

Wait, you don't think it's possible to go up for 60 dollars in an entire year? Are you new? You must be otherwise you would know it's impossible that we aren't far from $500 in 6 months. By the time the halving happens the pump will be so high that some people is going to have a heart attack with this pessimist mindset.

Many Bitcoin's users expect that Bitcoin's price wil going up in the nearest future, especially after the next halving, that's why i think holding our coins nowadays is a profitable idea.

People have been saying it's going to be the year of bitcoin every year for the past five or so no doubt. Personally I don't care what year it is but we should just concern ourselves with promoting bitcoin usage the best we can and it should come eventually. We might be waiting 2-3-5 years from now and I believe it will be a slow grow into the mainstream but I think we should get there at some point so we just need patience.

The 4hr chart (above) is a timeframe we have not looked at for over a week and it has a few interesting features:

1) the 4hr 200MA has been supporting price since the late-December low.

2) the 20MA and 200MA are in close proximity.

3) If price pulls below the 200MA then the 4hr 20MA will soon follow and cross below the 200MA – a potent sell signal at this timeframe.

Right.As long as the community, network, infrastructure and businesses are growinf and progressing, every year is a good one for Bitcoin. Growth in price is important as well but more secondary. Most important right now is the ecosystem to evolve.

If you consider this year to be the year of bitcoin just because of the block halving, then this will be the second year of bitcoin, because of the previous block halving. The halving makes 2016 special, but not more than that.
