Stakeminers - Cryptsy Exchange Issue - 18 December 2015
Clients,
Stakeminers is advising clients that earnings are being adversely impacted by the current difficulties on the major altcoin exchange, Cryptsy. Cryptsy is having technical difficulties related to the exchange of altcoins for bitcoin which is forcing traders to move altcoins out of Cryptsy to other exchanges in order to sell them for bitcoin.
This practice is creating false price lows by for many of the altcoins Stakeminer holds. In addition a number of altcoins wallets are in maintenance mode and are not tradeable, putting further downward pressure on prices.
We have been advised that new computer equipment should be installed on Friday, December 18, 2015, which will address the issue of altcoin wallets in maintenance mode. However, there is no guarantee at this time that bitcoin withdrawals will resume.

I went through a list of alt coins with decent volume to see if I could use one of them as a method of withdrawing, but they are ALL inflated in price on Cryptsy.  That is suspicious as shit

Hey, the ONLY fuckin' thing that matters is that GoldSeal's CasinoCoin was able to trade during Cryptsy's hour long shutdown, along with DOGE, and several other coins, according to what I'm seeing. Take a looksee yourself, not taking the word of a scammy ass - ME. HAHAHA

FWIW, the one possible way I found to get your coins out with minimal loss is to trade to LTC, then to MOON, then withdraw the MOON out to Bleutrade.  Seems the be the only coin with substantial order sizes to survive big dumps for transfer and the price difference is only 1LIT between the exchanges.   This is of course taking into account that you use the free withdraw option at Cryptsy

Leroy Fodor, kick me in my balls again for clearly fucking up! I'm so fuckin' new to all this, thus didn't realize that trading between individuals can easily commence sans the use of altcoin wallet addresses. That said, I just sent Leroy ten bucks worth of bitcoins via my other laptop that's not plugged in, but he'll get the money once I plug it in, thus officially registering the transaction.

Question: Can you explain to me like I'm five how hundreds, if not thousands of transactions are tracked sans the use of Cryptsy generated wallet addresses that are unable to be generated while there's no connect to power or the networks?
