Did you guys see Rublev's press conference? Mainly he talked about possibility to change nationality so he can play all tournaments. He got hit hard with ban at Wimbledon and he says if some other tournaments go that route he will have to consider changing nationality.
Furthermore he said that russian players tried everything to lift the ban. There was one interesting idea that they take ukranian players as double partners but nothing worked in the end. Really courius if those ukrainian players thought this was good idea. Sort of feels like they would have got some bad press at home if it came to fruition.
did not heard about it, but interesting story, have to say, did he mentioned Medvedev as well (somehow I do think the have difference stance towards on-going situation) idea to play with Ukranian partner in doubles looks good just on the paper, it is easy to manipulate it within mass media, in a way you want having to change nationality is a radical step for him, but he probably wants to play and he is not interested in supporting politicians @Trofo why would the Ukraine player’s even consider this, and to be honest it’s a blatant PR attempt to get some sympathy because deep down even he knew that this idea would never work out. Also let’s say that hypothetically he applied for a change of citizenship which country would accept it?, because currently no country would like to associate with Russians, hence I feel that he would have had a hard time finding a county that’s willing to accept his request.

For the first part, I am also thinking no Ukrainian player would agree to that. Regarding nationality, I am not sure for his particular case but majority of top tennis players have Monaco, or some similar tax paradise, stated as their address. Most countries award nationality if individual lives there 5 years or more. I sort of assumed he has some option like that or some other connection like one of his parents is from some other country. Then he just has to apply and that is it.

Not sure if this is a good idea as well, regardless, you can see the some players just wanted to go on with their careers unfortunately this war really took a toll of them. But what if the tournaments knows that they just change their nationality just to be able to play? Will tey allow it or not? because it seems that this players are exploiting the loophole and for sure once the war is over, they could just go back to their old nationality.

Austria would accept, his mother is born there, and he was raised by his grandmother, which is Austrian, and basically raised in Austria would not say that this is definite, but as per Serbian papers, he has enough eliglibility to apply for Austrian citizenship, and that was the direction he is pointing in, when talked that he will change citizenship not sure about that, dough, but could happen in the future

Did anyone came across this picture spread around the social media platforms. An 8 year old girl watching the training session of Nadal. This was taken during the year 2006. Can anyone make a guess who is that little girl. Concerned person have confirmed the picture and felt happy seeing it. Rule : Don't go search on Google. Naomi Osaka !? -snip

Rublev is lucky to have a strong connection with Austria, I would say he will be accepted, Which country wouldnt want to have a top athlete representing them even though Tennis for the most part is an individual sport.

A nice game developing between Carreno-Busta and Alex Molcan. Alex taking the lead now 5-2 in the first set, and If I'm not mistaken, Carreno-Busta was the favorite as far as betting goes.
Haven't bet on this tournament yet as I'm looking at the Thiem vs Delbonis at the Switzerland tournament. I wanted to see if Thiem has recovered already. I might do a multi betting with him at handicap and on the Rudd vs Lehecka match.

Seem that games in the Swiss Open has been suspended because of rain. So majority of the games has been reset in the next 12 hours. I guess you have to wait for your bet.
Regarding my bet early, it was a disaster as the first of my parlay was lost already, LOL.

Hard fought match, but Thiem pull through with a big win against Delbonis. It was close in the first set, and I thought that Thiem might lose in the tie-break. But when he won at the score of 8-6, I knew that he can overcome Delbonis easy on the 2nd set and that's what he did, at 6-3.
Let's see the Gasquet vs #2 Berrettini later, maybe this will go on 3 sets and Gasquet might pull another surprised run again.

What a disgusting day! First, Petkovic lost the first set 6-0, then at the beginning of the second set she completely withdrew from the competition. After that Jiri Lehecka was able to take his game (4th in the first set) from score 0-40. And more unexpectedly Rublev lost with a score of 2-0. full day of losses

In Switzerland Thiem and Berrettini both won their respective matches without any serious trouble in straight sets, Gasquet is also going down day by day as he is losing his quality but still hanging around which is good for this veteran player.

He just went into a bad mode and with 4-2 in first set for him and a game point he was able to lose that set 4-6 and later lose 2-6 the second set. Some really unexpected results today

Fortunately, I also put a bet on Ramos-Vinolas, At least the damage has been controlled on my end. Probably will continue to bet on Ramos-Vinolas against Jarry in the quarterfinals. Good match for Thiem as well, chances for him to move on the semifinals. He will be facing Varillas.

By the way, did anyone watch this game yesterday: Elisabetta Cocciaretto - Caroline Garcia? Garcia was the clear favorite but lost the first set 0-6 (LOL) and then easily won the remaining two sets (LOOOOL). If I was looking for matches similar to fixed, then this would be one of the most obvious contenders. It turns out that the one who made a bet on the defeat of Garcia in the first set with such a score won at least x60

Quarter finals now in Swiss Open, still the top seeds are in this tournament, Ruud, Berrettini, Vinolas and Martinez.
Berrettini vs Martinez should be a good one, I'm betting on the over for this one, and maybe doing a Ruud ML. I'm also expecting for Thiem to go and win, will be great to see him going into the finals but it's going to be very tough to go against this seeded players.

Is it worth to bet on Ruud? He should win but ML odds are around 1.15, way to low for me. I am taking -3.5 handicap or skipping. Just deciding about that and came here for inspiration. Thiem should win and odds are good I am just a bit sceptical about his match fitness. Cerundalo going strong and looks good to cover my ML bet and -2.5 handicap bet. Always like to start the day with a win, much easier to make following bets then. Edit: when I was writing Cerundalo had a set and 4:1 in second set. Then he lost 3 serves in next 4 service games so it seems my bet will be lost in the end. I can only hope for forfeit.

you got better than a forfeit there man! Had to battle for it, down a break in the 3rd, receiving to stay in the match and at the end in the tie break managed to close it off. nice run these last 2 weeks, will he make it to another final?!

Ruud, berretini and thiem have made it to the semi final, its promising to be interesting we have the first semi final between thiem and berretini, thiem is slowly going back to his shape but i don't think he is at the level where he can beat berretini i think it will be close but berretini will win in the end i think we will see a Ruud vs berretini final.

Ah its great to see both of these hugely talented players return to the performance which is kind of expected of them. Berrettini is favoirite for that semi tomorrow, I think he might be just that little bit ahead in recovery than Thiem. Vinolas is having a tough set against Jarry, I would expect him to come through this one to meet Ruud but I didnt bet on this one, Vinolas is @2.2 currently, It tempting to put something on it now.

It looks like Djokovic is still vaccinated. He has already accepted a ban from participating in the US open. We can have a whole discussion about that, but one thing is certain and that is that Djokovic will never be vaccinated against the drug. I actually think that the tennis association should act much harder and no longer allow tennis players who have not yet graduated from all tournaments. You also pose a danger to society and as a top tennis player you also have an exemplary function.

It turns out that the one who made a bet on the defeat of Garcia in the first set with such a score won at least x60 I dont think it was a fixed match it is just women tennis. Women tennis is just stupid some times. They dont have strong serves and breaks happen really often. If you watch other matches you will see it really often. But still a really big odd was won
