The 4th and final Grand Slam tournament of the year getting underway in 20 mins Cant wait for fast court slam to get under way. Can expect a few matches to get into tie breaker scenarios especially if an american player is involved. From the WTA perspective, the Ace queen Karolina Pliskova. It is her best chance to win a slam with Serena not 100% and Osaka been struggling as well. There are a ton of high quality players in the WTA pool that are a big threat though but big serving always helps on US Open court. Unlikely that Pliskova gets a slam but it is definitely her best shot.

Djokovic not being able to play in the US Open is obviously going to be a bummer. As he is one of the best in the world and also very fun to watch. he can be very talented, but if he can't respect the laws of the countries mainly on this issue related to the pandemic vs vaccine then I think he should think about giving up being some athlete, because it's not possible that the guy is not aware that needs to be vaccinated or this problem will not end so soon, covid will not end so soon, so vaccine will also be needed for many years, so what does he intend? that governments have amnesia and forget about being vaccinated? won't do that! He is not getting vaccinated because he believes that this might have some issues for his health, and obviously, a player is not willing to compromise his health for anything, so he is not going to get vaccinated. But, there are already a lot of athletes who have taken the Coronavirus vaccine and they have not had any health issues except for maybe having a fever for a day or two after taking it. It really does not seem that there is any major problem with him getting vaccinated, so I am not sure what the big deal is. If he does get vaccinated, he will have the opportunity to participate in some major tournaments around the world. Due to the fact that he is not getting vaccinated, he is obviously going to miss out on all of these benefits.

This Grand Slam marks the end of an era for one of the biggest stars in Tennis, Serena Williams is playing her last tournament and is on court in a couple of hours against Danka Kovinic.
Its sad in a way but nothing lasts forever except her legacy, soon it will be turn of Nadal, Murray, Djokovic and officially Federer.

Don't even know who Hijkata is but I am betting against Nadal first time he has serious opponent against him. Maybe not ML but some crazy handicap like +10.5 for sure.
We have been waiting for Nadal's demise for years already, I won't be going against him. Whenever I think he's done, he pulls something out of the hat and wins a GS or something like that. I still consider him among the top favorites - although it remains to be seen how his knees will hold up in 5-setters on hard. When I browse through the seeded players, I just feel it will be either Nadal or Medvedev. I am not going against Nadal, I am just betting on him to start the tournament a bit slow and that he could have trouble covering 10.5 handicaps against solid players. He is missing match time and I feel like he will get better and better as the tournament progresses. Trying to cash out on the odd set I expect he will drop in the early stages. Alcaraz is the only one that has the fire power and capacity to upset Medvedev and Nadal so I will keep a close eye on him. First week of GS is all about handicaps on outsiders for me. Second week is when we get good matches and when I start raising the stakes and taking ML. I would like to point out that Rafael Nadal has already reached the age of 36. In spite of that, he is still playing like one of the best players in the world today. Obviously, going against Rafael Nadal is not going to be a good idea. In spite of the fact that it might seem like he is nearing the end of his time. It has also happened to me that I have underestimated Nadal a few times in the past and the outcome of my bet has not been good. There is no doubt that Alcaraz is a better player. But will he be able to defeat Rafael Nadal is something to be seen? Good Luck Duke

Good Luck Duke Yes, but when you look at these players and when they were 32, did you think they would be battling at this level at age 36? These guys are just from another star. Many people say there will be another Rafael Nadal and so on, but when? These are just marks that have historic value. It's so crazy that it is hard to imagine that some will ever beat that.

It seems that dominic thiem is having a huge trouble to get back some of his former shape he is losing badly to carreno busta in the us open he lost the first set and he is going to lose the second one 6 1, it seems that being away from competition for more than a year did some numbers on him.

Thiem is actually one of the greatest fighters ever, but same problem as we all know it, injuries take him down from time to time. We would all love to see the best of the best compete at their highest level, but often times what sets them apart is their physical condition over a long time. Is probably going to be the same again at the US Open.

Carreno Busta is always a tough opponent to play against, especially in a Slam. Thiem has started the 3rd set on the right foot as he managed to break Busta twice already while being broken once. Leads the 3rd set 4-2. Just needs to hold a couple of service games and guarantee himself some fighting chance in the match.

Carreño Busta have managed to make his regular game. Thiem gave made a comeback in the third set. For now the match is going to be more interesting, but the physical condition of players always make unexpected outcomes. This time most of the matches seems to have similar fightback.

I'm watching Fritz playing against Holt right now and Fritz lost a serve and holt is leading 4-2, keep in mind that this is the first official ATP match for Holt so I don't think he will will keep the same pace with no experience, Fritz to win the first set is a good bet I think @2.48

Tsitsipas loses his match against Galan in 4 sets. Lost the first set 6-0! What's going on with Tsitsipas? he was one of the favs to win the tournament and he goes down to world no. 94 in the opening round. Halep lost in the opening round as well. Quite a few upsets on Day 1.

Big disappointment for Tsitsipas getting out on the very first match playing against Galán placed at 94 th position. Tsitsipas made a comeback, but he wasn't able to win the fourth set of the match. Andy Murray makes the straight set wins as expected. Since 2017 Grand Slam it is the first time Andy Murray have made a straight set win in a match.

He has always been some phenomenon to me. He had some outstanding tournaments, also against Djokovic in some semi-finals and finals, but he really dropped down the list. He never was one of these extremely skilled guys, but he made it competitive purely due to his fighting spirit. Taking his age into account I would say this is also one of his last tournaments. Also let's see how far Kyrgios is going to make it

Wow, I really expected wins by both Tsitsipas and Halep, Tsitsipas reaching the final of Cincinnati, we would have expected the form to continue, Same with Halep, winning the Canadian Open this month we would have expected at the very least a first round win. Luckily I didnt bet on them

Rather than any other sports, it is good to make bets against the odds suggested by the gambling houses. There is more chance of making a win, because many match results will have similar outcomes in the upcoming days.

STAN WAWRINKA (RETD.) 4-6 6-7 CORENTIN MOUTET -snip Taking his age into account I would say this is also one of his last tournaments. Also let's see how far Kyrgios is going to make it yeah, pitty for Wawrinka to be early out, but obviously he had some injuries lately, and taking age into consideration, it was a bit expected Kyrgios could make it far, but it all depends on his head, focus on a pitch is simply not his thing looking at Medvedev, he started well, but it was a first round and really unknown and fairly unmotivated opponent

Andrea Petkovic will end her career. She will only play the US Open and then it is over. The reason is that she keeps having too many injuries. Maybe she will play a small tournament in Europe as a farewell. Today she will play against the Olympic champion Belinda Bencic.

Luckily I didnt bet on them At times matches go completely against the expectation. Tsitsipas is on a winning track and everyone believed he would make good progress. Rather than any other sports, it is good to make bets against the odds suggested by the gambling houses. There is more chance of making a win, because many match results will have similar outcomes in the upcoming days. @romero121 I kinda agree to your statement, because in the past we knew that Federer would win, then came Nadal and Djokovic era where they would win most of their matches and thus wagering on Tennis matches were easy to do, however the current generation is very unpredictable and wagering small amounts against them is not a bad suggestion. However people should not wager big on unknown player’s to cause upsets, and they should apply the basic rule i.e. to study both the opponent and see if the underdog has any potential of causing an upset like we witnessed in Tsitsipas match.
