I just saw the highlights and it looked like a great match. I planned to watch but it was during the night here - so I managed to catch only a few last games when I woke up.

Alcaraz looks most likely to win it now - if he did, he'd claim the 10th spot in the 'youngest GS winners' list. Since Sampras in 1990, only Nadal won it younger than Alcaraz will be if he wins.
He'll be the youngest no. 1 ever though - with both Hewitt and Safin being over 20 when they reached no. 1.

Both would be terrific achievements and would be well deserved.

What speaks in favor of Alcaraz at this point is the moment when he turned the situation around in the fifth set when he was a break behind. My reason for that is that Sinner also looked extremely strong and stable, but still it wasn't enough to beat Alcaraz. The defense game of Alcatraz partially reminded me of Djokovic. You just can't get the ball pass him without Alcatraz getting his racket to the ball no matter what. Speed, precision, everything was insane by Sinner, but Alcaraz returned it. The guy is fun to watch and given that he is 19 years old, that is a great player in the making for the future.

Yea a few days ago I had either Kyrgios or Alcaraz as likely to take the title but the way Tiafoe
is playing I think I would question it now, its exciting times for sure.

Both semi finals are very close affairs, I would say most people are considering Ruud v Alcaraz
to be in the final but anything is possible at this stage IMO.

I'm not sure I will be betting on any of the 3 matches remaining.

We have been waiting for who is going to replace the big 3 and it seems that we have found the answer in Alcaraz. And his game doesn't have any flaws right now, Sinner has the chance to win this game but Alcaraz save the break point and won it. And then he put a lot of pressure on Sinner, in which he wasn't able to respond. And I guess whoever wins the Alcaraz vs. Tiafoe will most likely raise the trophy this year.
After this thrilling last quarterfinal Possible word confusion lineup is completed for semifinal with no big one is available in this lineup, and we have all new faces which is very interesting Alcaraz vs Tiafoe and Khachanov vs Ruud here predictions are not easy as things are going to be tricky with Tiafoe done great job in last two matches against Nadal and Rublev and have good record against Alcaraz with two wins out of two matches hopefully this time he will be done again good job and try to win this grand slam for his country.

Khachanov vs Ruud is also very interesting match with after beating Kyrgios he is on his best but Ruud is also very good promising player who can do anything in this match and for his first Grand Slam title.

It is going to be an interesting matchup between Khachanov and Rudd because both of them have proven themselves over the years. In terms of recent form, both of these players are doing very well at the moment. As far as I can tell, I don't think that anyone is going to have an advantage over the other when they will be facing each other face to face.

It is expected that Tiafoe vs Alcaraz will be a difficult matchup for Tiafoe. Recently, however, he has been putting on a great performance. I have seen that this is also going to be a hard one for me to predict. There is no doubt that these are difficult matches to predict, and that is why this is the semi-finals of the US Open, right?

What a Battle between Alcaraz and Winner. I was optimistic about the win for the Italian but in the end Alcaraz was seriously impressive with such shots.
Interesting this Is the second win on this surface for the spanish!
I think the match between the two players will become a "Classic" to see in the future.

Yesterday's match between Sinner and Alcaraz was a remarkable one. Sinner got a match point on his own service in the 4th set, was unable to use it, was broken in the same game and also lost the set. I can't remember seeing such a turnaround in the game. I also think Alcaraz is a better player, he is higher in the ranking for a reason, but Sinner is a player for the future, just like Alcaraz. I think Alcaraz is the favorite to win the title, although Casper Ruud also showed quite a bit of tennis this tournament. Maybe we'll also get a new number 1 in the world.

Again a really nice battle between these two guys. They play really good tennis and Alcaraz took the win. Alcaraz also has an amazing chance to win the Us open and get the number 1 place in the world. Also Ruud can also take the first place and that to me is really wierd

I watched last 2 sets from the match and it was really good tennis from both players. You can see that Alcaraz has higher ceiling but at the same time more ups/downs and tendencies to overdo shots and make unforced errors. Managed to catch odds of 5.5 on Alcaraz and still loose the ticket since I was greedy and paired it with another eSports match.

Did not watch Tiafoe play this year at all so I am a bit clueless what to bet on their match, probably will go for over games.

^^ Right, I think the over might be a good bet for this matches specially high level from the last 4 standing players.

Might be doing a parlay at over, let's see.

In the womens, it will be Swiatek and Sabalenka on the other semi finals. It's going to be hard to predict as Swiatek has some anxious moment in this tournament, losing 1st set, just saying.

Jabuer run continues in the ladies side, as she defeated Garcia. So she will be the first one to reach the finals.

Swiatek and Sabalenka still battling it out, as usual Swiatek lost the first set. And then storm back in the second to win by 6-1. Start of the third set now, and it seems that he has gotten his confidence back and her momentum. Sabalenka needs everything if she wanted to win.

The momentum has moved into Swiatek, third set got equalled 4-4 and now Swiatek have taken the lead 5-4. Sabalenka have done the best. The serve is with Sabalenka and she can level the point. If not this is going to be the match decider. The pressure is high on sabalenka and made a double fault in the serve. Finally it was Swiatek to win the match 3-6 6-1 6-4.

Another great comeback from Swiatek. It seems that he is becoming the Djokovic of women's tennis. Like deliberately losing a set by a huge margin and then coming back strong to snatch a win.

So it will be Jabeur vs Swiatek in the women's final. I will be putting my money again on the over for this. I'm expecting that it will be a 3 setter match.

Jabuer run continues in the ladies side, as she defeated Garcia. So she will be the first one to reach the finals.

Swiatek and Sabalenka still battling it out, as usual Swiatek lost the first set. And then storm back in the second to win by 6-1. Start of the third set now, and it seems that she has gotten his confidence back and her momentum.

And maybe Swiatek is better suited in this kind of game, but it's still very dangerous to really make a huge comeback specially if she faces a tough opponent that has the same mentality as her. And with that, I think that is the biggest factor in this match. She still has the will to win even if she is down 1 set.

So Swiatek might have a clear advantage of Jabeur plus the experience. So she will be the favorite to win the Ladies US Open.

After yesterday's unexpected results in the Europa League (football), I had an idea to bet overnight (on Garcia) and wake up in the morning and see the expected victory. It's good that I abandoned this idea! Garcia, being the favorite of the game, lost so limply (according to the score) - I don’t even want to look at the game report, I’m just glad that I didn’t place a bet.

I am delighted for Ons, she deserves at least to be in the Final. It will be a tough match
for both, Ons is a "streetfighter" she will battle until the last  point. I'm doing a +4.5 handicap
on her @ 1.54.

Swiatek is indeed the favourite but its close enough with the betting so far, on Rollbit the
odds are 1.51 - 2.46.

Didn't saw a lot of tennis this last couple of days but I hope that Alcaraz will win it and also win the final (places some outrights bets on him). Should be a good match against Tiafoe and the over bet seems a good choice. Will look up the odds and place a bet on it.

BIG WINNER!

Swiatek done good job after losing first set and now have spot into last two against O Jabeur which is also doing amazing stuff for last few months even she is not good enough but still it's not going to be easy for Swiatek because in last four matches both have 2 - 2 and O Jabeur current form is also excellent she lost only one set in this event and having quality game against few quality players which is giving her good experience for big events.

Nick Kyrgios has been given the biggest fine of the US Open so far for his behavior in his quarter-final defeat by Karen Khachanov.

The Australian was fined $14,000 (£12,000) after throwing a drink bottle to the ground and then smashing two racquets at the end of the match.

The total of his fines in New York for offenses including spitting and swearing was $32,500 (£28,200).

It really seems to me that he shouldn't have been fined such a large amount of money because he just raged a little after the match. In the same breath, it does not send a good message to others. In particular, I would like to mention those who are trying to get into the game, especially those who are younger. In my opinion, this fine makes sense and yet doesn't make sense at the same time.

However, at the same time, I am also quite certain that this much cash is not going to mean that much to this player. By that I mean he can afford it.

Really the best possible outcome for the final. I was looking to watching Swiatek vs Jabeur. Jabeur also is in really good form while Swiatek is first in the world so will be really intresting too see what will happen. Also Kyrgios continuing his habits and really dosent care about the fines

Not a huge huge tennis fan but was definitely look to see coco gauf make a run in the open.  Watched a couple matches from swiatek and dam she is real good.  Men's looks wide open who knows who takes the final with some of the bigger names gone and off the board.  Why did djokavich bail from this tourny?

What a start of this first semifinal between to quality players in the world Khachanov vs Ruud in first set both breaks serve two times, but fight back very quickly which is showing their commitment and quality which is essential for this Grand Slam after end of first set with the score of 6 - 6 Ruud won this by tiebreaker with the score of 7 - 5 look like it's going to be five set match as both are having good service and good returns entertaining match is going to be long both are fighting hard for place in final as now after many years we are going to have final without big three.

Second set started with Khachanov done good start after having score of 0 - 40 won his first game.

Ruud improved his game on hard court drastically since last season. He still isn't the best out there but he can run to almost any ball and he is solid with all his strokes. Still can't believe he has a chance to be no. 1 in the world if he gets further then Alcaraz here.

Very interesting situation all around, if Ruud and Alcaraz loose today - Nadal is no.1. If one of them wins and the other looses, winner is no.1. I want to see Ruud - Alcaraz final and if we get it, then the winner of US OPEN becomes no. 1 as well. My money and sympathies go towards Alcaraz, he simply has that something that makes you wanna cheer for him.
