This looks really really one-sided right now for Fritz. I am also quite surprised as I thought Fritz might be running into trouble defending Kyrgios' serves. I think Kyrgios' strength regarding the serves can also turn into his weakness. We have seen that against Djokovic in Wimbledon. When he hits his serves it is almost impossible to defend him. He collects countless aces or easy points that way. But if he doesn't hit the serves well, he sometimes seems a bit lost against players who are very strong at longer rallies. Still fun to watch him and I guess he will also play an interesting role at the US open.
Kyrgios is his own enemy. Mentally at least. He got into an argument with the chair umpire about not doing his job properly and even pissed off the chair umpire. He completely lost the plot from there. Double faults in a row and then just gave up on the points after. Never seemed to recover after that.

Yes and that kind of makes it sad to watch him. You can literally tell the moment where he is going to completely fall apart. It starts with him ranting, then attacking the referee and then countless double faults like every single time. I think he is the player of the tour who learns the least from his own mistakes. The dude needs professional psychological support. It reminds me of Federer who also said that during his early years he wasn't able to handle his emotions and hence gave away games that he should have won under normal circumstances. Kyrgios can play amazing tennis, there is no doubt about that. But throwing away game after game just because he is going nuts over and over again really kind of destroys his career. Federer, Nadal and Djokovic have proven over and over again that keeping your mind under control is at least half the battle you have to fight on the court. They are mental monsters. That is the main difference compared to someone like Kyrgios and also Zverev at times.

yeah, he was announced as young star, and expected more from him, but to be honest, there was little space to win something lately, so was not that surprised to see him win just two titles

nevertheless, I do not expect him to win over Norrie, and would take Norrie @1.62, seems as value bet, IMO
much better match can be expected in other SF, and Medvedev should.win over Tsitsi, seems that US soil is good for Medvedev, he is playing his best tennis around US Open each year

Norrie is out to 1.77 on Rollbit, It does seem like a value bet to I have taken that. Its nice
to see Norrie coming this far so far, he has worked hard over the last year or so but if
he wins today I cannot see him beating possibly Medvedev.

And I have taken Medvedev to beat Tsitsipas too at 1.34. It looks like Medvedev is "peaking"
or at least is upping his performance just in time for the U.S open.

Coric playing very well. For the odds, I feel its worth taking a shot at him. Medvedev vs Tsitsipas, for the odds and it being a 3 setter. I don't see great value betting on Medvedev as they are almost equally talented. Medvedev is just a bit more consistent and mental fitness.

That is a good odds indeed for Norrie, and I wouldn't be surprised if it goes to 1.6x something before the game start. Coric though seems to be riding on a momentum so I have him winning at least 1 set.

This is very hard to predict, Tsitsipas huge underdog at 3.34 now, might be a good match to watch and hopefully they can extend to 3 sets and Over 22.5 at 1.83 for me.

This does make for an unforeseen match up in this tournament's finals with Medvedev facing off against the winner of Norrie/Coric match happening right now.

Garica also will be in the finals tomorrow and has progressed in the last few months very nicely.
Seen her beat all of her opponents to win the Poland open last month.

What's happening with the first set of the semi final. I wasn't able to take the eye out of the game. Finally the set have come to an end. Now all who have placed bet on Tsitsipas can sit back and relax for the next set. Each and every shot is big and never come again. Both show the best of the ability and finally ended at 66-78

For all who have made a bet over the huge underdog @3.34 can now enjoy the win. All who stood on Tsitsipas are really lucky enough to make a good profit. As said it is really hard to predict the outcome of the match. From the very beginning to the end of the match real fight for the sets were undoubtedly the best in all means. With the win of 78-66, 3-6, 6-3 Tsitsipas move to the finals.

As suspected, both my picks worked out. I was just objectively picking the one that seemed value. Both "upsets" by the sportsbook makers but they surprisingly didn't consider recent form to be of much value, I suppose.

VERY WELL DONE!!

while your 2 bets came through, the favourites lost. Amazing. This is a very unexpected
final. It will be hard to call a winner IMO, Tsitsipas the obvious favourite.

The odds will have variation based on the first set winning. For now the match is gonna start in another 30 minutes and it is good to go on live betting after the first set. On the head to head stats, Medvedev have won 7 times and Tsitsipas have won 2 times. Last time both have met at this year's Australian Open in which Medvedev have marked his win by the fourth set.

Amazing.
Was watching the match for the first set and then for the second and thought Daniil had it wrapped up nearly giving Tsitsipas a bagel going up 5-0 at one point.
But then didn't watch the third as I thought he had it under control.
As you had said the favorites lost and Coric is on to the finals to meet up with Tsitsipas.
Unbelievable set of events to end up with these two in the final at Cinnci.

Coric really made a fantastic result in this tournament:

''Coric reached his first ATP Masters 1000 final since shoulder surgery last year, outplaying Norrie throughout as he won 6-3 6-4 in just over 90 minutes.''
''Both semi-finals were delayed by rain and Coric added: "At the beginning I was not there, I was not feeling the ball very well. Then I did find my rhythm. I started to serve better, I started to play much better and I think that was the key to the match."
''Coric, who beat Rafael Nadal earlier in the tournament, will now face a third career meeting with world number seven Tsitsipas and could improve his ranking to as high as 29th with victory.''

Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/tennis/62622489

All of us here in Croatia, his fans, ask ourselves the same question: "How did Coric suddenly start playing so well and winning after being nowhere for so long?"  Grin
This situation almost reminds me of Ivanisevic's performance in Wimbledon 2001 and his unexpected winning of that GS.
We all know that Coric was a great talent in world tennis and a former twelfth player in the world, but after a shoulder injury he was nowhere to be seen for a long time and no one expected great results from him.
A truly great and unexpected return to the top of world tennis.

WTA: Kvitova vs Garcia finals will be some attacking masterpiece. Both players just go all out attacking while have decent defensive skills as well. Garcia will be looking to get to the net more often to shorten the rallies as Kvitova is very comfortable from the baseline and would probably be better at it. Should be interesting affair. I'd give it to Kvitova to win but Garcia has surprised us all until now.

Čorić really does have a great shot at the title. I expected Medvedev to win against Tsitsipas - on hard I feel he's a much tougher opponent.

They played 2 times against each other, Tsitsipas won on clay (Čorić forfeted during the 1st set) while Čorić has a win in 2020 US Open.

Although Tsitsipas has a much higher ranking, I like Čorić's chances today.

Would have been all over that ML on Coric if I knew his physical levels. He hasn't played this many matches in a row in last 5 years probably. Could be fatigue setting in but otherwise Tsitsipas at hard surface is probably very ok draw for ATP 1000 series final. Especially after already winning against Nadal, FAA and Norie. Should be a good match and I plan to watch it tonight.

Tsitsipas is an uninhibited and unpredictable player. Was still seen as the future number 1 in the world. He does have the talent, but at times seems to be very impatient. Of course, that could have everything to do with his age. He has not yet won a grand slam but was in the final of Roland Garros in 2021. As long as Nadal continues to play tennis, he can forget about Roland Garros for the time being. But Alcaraz also scores high on Gravel. I wonder how they will both do at the US open. And Djokovic can cry at home in front of the TV. Or should he be present as a spectator?  Roll Eyes

We can of course argue that age might play a role, and when we look at Murray it was a bit similar. Murray lost four grand slam finals before he won the US Open I think, but it's not like Tsitsipas is 19 anymore. Murray was 25 when he won his first final and I think given that he already played a good number of big finals, it is also about time for him. Otherwise he might turn into this guy who loses finals forever and ever. What catches eye though is that the finals he won were usually against weaker players while most of the finals he lost were against the big three guys. Even when it seemed to be close against Djokovic in Roland Garros, it actually wasn't. Djokovic turned it around with ease more or less even when he was down 0 - 2.
Tsitsipas needs to find a much more dominant game against the strongest guys in the world. My assumption is that Nadal and Djokovic will still be around in three years from now. Djokovic for sure and Nadal might choose the tournaments he is going to play very wisely.

Well he was really great in the past two years, but seems to not passed when facing tough opponents like Djokovic, Nadal or even Medvedev, and he is best known to be a clay court player, and yeah very inconsistent in his year.

The game has started already, Tsitsipas has the lead in the first set. Let's see if this is the tournament that he can win against Boric. Boric though is a tough cookie to break. In the women's it was Caroline Garcia defeating Kvitova for the title.

What happened to tsitsipas in today final he was doing good on the first set against coric and he was leading 4 2 after managing to break coric serve and then his performance started going down he lost his serve and lost 7 0 in the tie breaks not to mention the second set that was a disaster, either way coric did well today he seem in a great shape a totally deserved win.

Tsitsipas gave hard fight, and he looks so tired. It was same as the set against Medvedev, but things didn't worked out this time. If I'm not wrong, Coric have pre-planned the match after the defeat of Medvedev. In the past we used to see only certain players in the finals. Now those scenario have changed. In the doubles semifinal Tsitsipas and Rune have given a walkover which according to me seemsto be out of injury or being tired don't let him perform.
