Does this mean the new rally already ended before it started, or is this warning signal obsolete now?

The bottom line is, money is about power. Recent history has demonstrated terrible abuses by those entrusted with much of those powers. Maybe through no fault of their own but just the centralised nature of the system they inherited and their own individual weaknesses and greedy responses to the situations they found themselves in. Hopefully the new wealthy elite will act more responsibly ... (hops in the boat off to "The Island" ... outta here.  )

I think Hal Finney said it best with 1 in 100 million longshot on bitcoin making it big. For some computer time or exchange conversion fees I'll take those odds.

While I think that road from here to a widely used cryptocurrency will be rougher than some seem to think, I have to admit I have taken out a loan to buy bitcoins. However it was a loan from a relative with good terms I think, 0 interest but a cut of the profit if any. I had no money available to invest and they had no confidence in bitcoin. So far it is working out well for both of us.

What's 10^8 divided by 10^3 .. 10^5 .... still a 1 in 100,000 long shot so plenty of room for more success or failure.

Bitcoin has turned a lot of young people into millionaires in just months of investing in it. It couldn’t be a big deal if I invest half of my salary in bitcoin and watch it rise over the years. Lucky guys who bought bitcoin six years ago.  Roll Eyes

Having bitcoin has helped quite a lot of people get rich. I think bitcoin is a good investment. Some people have bought and hoarded for a long time and now they have become wealthy, so now you should buy bitcoin. And try to make money with it Cool

Yeah, like everyone is going to rely on a "central bank" ever again ... well maybe not for the next 300 years. I think that horse has bolted, it's a bust, and it failed as spectacularly as communism, for very similar reasons.

Bitcoin is just a start, many years after there will be many more crypto currencies to be discovered. But as pioneers for bitcoin, it is a big motivation for us to do more and aim for higher exchange for a bitcoin because it will definitely make us wealthy in the future in terms of an investment.

I thought this was a dream that was so great in the bitcoin. But you should also be aware that there will probably reach $ 10 k price bitcoin. Because of this many currencies in the world which is still in use and supply, so they would prefer the original currency than the currency of the Digital

This thread is all hype. I to, wish and pray that Bitcoin may one day reach 10,000$ a coin, but lets be realistic. It can as easily fail from another superior cryptography as much as it may succeed.

those of us who aren't teenagers have seen this kind of thing dozens of times before, each time with claims that the speculation is based on something fundamentally new. i make no predictions about the price of bitcoins, as today's price results solely from what game theorists call a beauty-contest game, but 'confidence' in the most optimistic of results isn't warranted.

True, commodity speculators are not adding or subtracting the commodity from the economy.
