BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ?

:)Governments sometimes say Bitcoin has a bad image because hackers and scammers can ask for payment in it. However Western Union has been used by the Nigerian prince scammers for years and no governments talk about restricting its use, regulating it further, or banning it. IMO the dark side of Western Union is far worse than the dark side of Bitcoin.

It's true that criminals can use both- WU and bitcoin for their purpose.
Recently, at least in my country, I know that WU had to change policy, and now asking ID card from everybody, sender and receiver of money.
With bitcoin, nobody ask you about ID card so I think that criminals prefer bitcoin over WU now.
Just a few weeks ago I heard story on news that police catch some drug dealers.
They find and ordered drugs in the dark web and paid with bitcoin.
So, from this viewpoint, WU is better than bitcoin.

Yes, it's back to our perspective to see it all. The government is bound to say something like that, a lot more negative responses than positive advantage gained when conducting transactions with Bitcoin. So it is one of the main reasons why the government does not agree with the legality of Bitcoin

Bitcoin and WU, obviously are two different things. I like the line of thought that states that BTC is three things in one:

Payment Method
Token of Value
Currency

When we compare BTC and WU, we are talking about the Payment method and Currency aspects of it. In other words, a way to transfer "money" from one place to another, or from a person to another. Payment method because you don't need anything else to make this transaction, this "transfer," beyond the BTC network itself. Currency because, after this transfer, you can spend it to buy things, to exchange it for other goods or currencies.
 Of course, by doing so, we can't forget the other characteristic of it (token of value), because it is a representation the worth given to it by the community that accepts it.

After saying this, I believe that Bitcoin does the job better than WU.

Yeah i think it so,  western union is not to compare with bitcoin.
Bitcoin is more complex than western union and  it is goes straight  to the perspn wallet.
But in western union there are a lot of protocols and if you don't valueanle you can't process western union.

Yes right now the fees of bitcoin transactions are getting higher and time is taking longer which is disappointing for the users but still it has less fees in compare to WU and even bitcoin transactions are available 24/7 which is not possible with WU.

The 24/7 availability is not there with Western Union, but as we are not in need of an intermediary service provider we can make bitcoin transaction anytime. Recent days few was found high but this is just a temporary problem which will be solved once technology retains from the ongoing digital war.

I was using WU when I was not aware about bitcoins but after discovering bitcoin I have stopped using WU as I think that the fees of bitcoins are too lower in compare to WU and I am sure when many people will be aware about bitcoins they will follow the same.

Bitcoins are for other thing wu for other thing.. if wu would exist then i would go for a second payment system, using bitcoin in real life is a crapy thing...

Yes.Because bitcoin doesnt charge a great amount of money to transfer yours.Western and other money transferring company's are small thieves.They charge you with a money higher even with the small transactions.It will require some time to make those companys disappear.Bitcoin is way better than western union because of its cheap charge in transferring your money.

Money transfers like WU charge fees based on a certain percentage of the mount that you will send while in Bitcoin it is a fixed fee so it is better to say that sending big amount of money then Bitcoin would be a great choice. Also you get to choose the fees whether you will go for high, medium, or low which depends on how badly the money is needed. Nevertheless, I would use Bitcoin rather than WU but I might as well change my stance regarding the path that Bitcoin is taking especially the talk after August 1. Hope it will go well and nice.

Of course bitcoin is better than western union, easy transaction, safe and fast is the main advantage of bitcoin compared with other means of payment. There is no better system and means of payment than the current bitcoin in my opinion

If the person sending and the person receiving bitcoin is aware about the technology then bitcoin is the best. IF you are transferring to someone who has no idea regarding bitcoin then Western Union seems to be the best.

Yes, Bitcoin is a good choice for send money between countries, I have a friend ussually use WU for send money to me, but I very hate it because need more time for wait receice that money. When I know Bitcoin, I only spend 1 day to receive Bitcoin and exchange it to real money, it helped me very more

Oh nice but that was 2015? can someone also update that new data. Maybe i think it is over paypal now?. Because Paypal was the 1st transaction for online users back when there was the clickads style is anyone remember that? I dont really wish to be it number one but i think with it's current success there is a high chance that it can be placed in the 4th or 5th place in the payment transaction networths.
