The bitcoin is way better than the western union with the western you can transfer money to another country of course, globally but the point is it takes ages, its just ridiculous.
With the bitcoin in fact this is not the point at all its easy to use and also globally transferable in minutes.
Yeah bitcoin is better than the western union u can transfer money fastly anywhere u  from. U can't go to the western union account to process send money all u need is ur phone to send money to ur love ones less hassle and  less transaction fees.

with bitcoin we can transfer money from everywhere with less fee, but sometimes we need highest fee for withdraw our BTC to local currency.

in my country the fee withdraw is 1% Sad
Oh no in my country the fee is 0% . I use coins.phwallet from Philippines .coins.ph is no transaction fees in sending money and recieving . we have fees only in cashout in remitancess but a little amount only. Try to use coins.ph ,block chain or xapo .
My credit card and bank account is also free for any use, for any purchase, any transaction, as I have my student account in my bank, and for that account anything is free, no tax, no fees etc.

i says withdraw from bitcoin to local currency not Withdraw bitcoin, for withdraw bitcoin the fee only 50k satoshi. in coins.ph i see the fee is zero ( http://support.coins.ph/hc/en-us/articles/202948684) it's good market, but im not use peso, im use IDR
"There should not be any signed int. If you've found a signed int somewhere, please tell me (within the next 25 years please) and I'll change it to unsigned int." -- Satoshi

This is pretty useless thread! Everybody who knows about Bitcoin knows that it's better than Western Union. But where Western Union shines is that it is EVERYWHERE. Everybody can use it and getting money is very secure for sender and receiver. Everything else about it sucks.

We would know because we sell and take: Western Union, Moneygram, credit cards, bank wires, Paypal and BTC. WU became a huge pain in the ass by blocking recipients, basically refusing good transfers and screwing up our business for no reason.

Yes, we try to talk people into BTC but it is a tall order. BTC is hard to handle. Where it shines is in it's essence, send it receive it in minutes or less. Before and after it sucks. To buy it it is hard. To sell it is also hard. The most painful thing is to register yourself at exchange in order to buy BTC, sell it and get fiat money. At that point applicant must endure probing into personal data, copy passport, driver's license, bank statement, proof of this and that and I am sure they will start asking for blood and piss sent by courier in vials for testing. You tell me where is anonymity there?

We have one account at former CAVirtex and tried to get account at Bitstamp. Gave up after week or two. Couldn't stand it any more. Anyway, we are in Burlington, Ontario, Canada and have that experience. I would like that someone explain how will person from Africa get all this done? I'll tell you how ... he can't, no freaking way. Instead, he walks into nearest Western Union that is at about every tree there (and everywhere else for that matter) and send us 100 dollars + 20-30 bucks for WU fees!

A new account? Just to post that desperate attempt at denial?

A certain somebody has clearly gambled away invested more than he can afford to lose Sad
Nevertheless, welcome to bitcointalk, newfriend Smiley

Agreeing this Western union's fees will lead them into the dark on the next years,as we all believe bitcoin will be for everyone that wanna save and has more power with their own cash. The same thing almost as internet before all use it it started with a small group and well nowadays almost everybody use it and has acess to it,i just hope with bitcoin this be faster...

For transactions I prefer only bitcoin to all my friends and I tell them that with that you can save much of your money by wasting in others transactions fees etc. It is also very much easier and convenient and take less time rather than Western Union.

Same here, I also use bitcoin for transaction. It's more easy to transaction and the fee is the biggest problem why i chose bitcoin. You only need to pay the small fee, not like western union.

I think bitcoin win in every way when compared to western union if we use bitcoin to send money doesn't have to wait long just in one hour or less and as you said about  fee transaction.

that's right, but you should consider an exchanger fees to your total fees of using bitcoin as a transaction processor because this one will possibly make your transaction have higher fee than using western union, except both receiver and sender are bitcoin user who didn't planning to exchange the bitcoin

Bitcoin is better than western union in almost every way IMO, WU just beats bitcoin by the people's use and trust "even bitcoin is starting to get that" Bitcoin offers instant/low fees transaction unlike bitcoin's.

Bitcoin is always better then WU as the transactions are fast and with least fees where as WU charges heavily from the customers and the best thing about bitcoin is transaction are available 24/7.

WU is shit. Once Bitcoin devs deploy the Lightning Network and people start making instant, worldwide, cheap transactions only the same morons that still used horses back in the day instead of cars, will be using WU and other objectively inferior forms of money and transfer.
Bitcoin has already won the war, it's a simple matter of time now.

I definitely agree that bitcoin is better than western union for many reasons. Bitcoin is a much better currency and it pays very well. We can not compare both in terms of currencies as western union is not one but it is pretty obvious that everybody uses bitcoin more than western unuion.

I believe that Bitcoin is a lot better than using many payment processors like western union and so on, it's faster method, open and decentralized and with lowest fee, so i always prefer to use it instead using the other ones

WU is now outdated atleast for the people who are using bitcoins, people want new and innovative method that saves their time and money and bitcoin is offering us all those features at a moment.

The best thing about bitcoin transaction is that there is no bank or public holidays in it which we were experiencing in past with WU or banks for making online transfers.

agree, but till now I am seeing people using Western Union for their fiat transaction, We have to motivate more people to use bitcoin, there are still a large community in the world which is not aware with bitcoin and are wasting their money with Western Union.
