Hands down it is. Western Union is one of the biggest scams on the go. Use it and you will know how insane their fees are. Bitcoin could easily replace them and hopefully does.
Right, western union is sucking the blood of people through its high fees, now no one will like it as everyone is shifting to other sources including bitcoin. The transaction system and its fees attract people to bitcoin, very sooner the world of bitcoin will be started, and every transaction will be through bitcoin. |

That's indeed that Bitcoin is better than Western Union. However, I would never thought that it was surpassing it in daily volume of transactions.

Western Union also keeps track of you in a uncomfortable manner. You will find this out once you hit a quota of receivers or to frequent orders. If you send to suspect country which a lot of the offshore gambling sites are connected to you could also get snared in a terrorist angle and have to explain your way out of the corner. They will stop transfers time to time,just so you call them and they can ask you some questions. I prefer bitcoin Yeah, they are teasing through its so called good service , I also leaved western union after getting involved in bitcoin. Transferring money through bitcoin is now a good and easiest way for me. So I saved a large amount of my money from wasting in fees of western union. |

I think western union is more complicated than bitcoin.
I prefer bitcoin in this case, to be honest I do not use western union because its use I do not understand

Yes the speed is good, but for me the most important thing is that it's having control over your money. Just transfer your money, no hassle or whatsoever. |

Paypal, Western Union, even the Credit card companies. there is just a lack of promotion to make bitcoin go mainstream.
It doesn't outcompete any one of them because it doesn't provide the same service, not even by a mile. Go and buy Bitcoin with fiat, then send it, then exchange it back to fiat in a window or ATM where you get cash and come back and tell me which service is cheaper and easier. That's why average persons don't care about Bitcoin at all, it's just pointless for them, they would just use Paypal, CCs or even Western Union once in a while. |

Bitcoin simply needs that one app or service to simplify the transactions and then it will be far more successful than Western Union or any money remittance system. There are companies working on this innovation everyday and it is only a matter of time.

For me bitcoin is always better than western union because i have a lots of things that i want in bitcoins than western if you use the bitcoin for transact money to another country you don't need to fillup a paper or to put your all information before you send it or receive it and bitcoin don't need
Identification to claim the money. Here in my country you can instantly withdraw the money without card bank account its instant to withdraw it.
Western i think you need to wait for a days before you claim the money..

yeah my friend, use western union to take money from a credit card belonging to someone else. I do not know how it works true, wu too many transaction costs and that blind people do not like and switch |

Specific examples are always better to use to evaluate a premise like this.
In light of rebit.ph partnership with cebuana cashout points recently announced the current comparison for sending money to the Philippines is:
Via western union: 5% commission to WU, 5% commission to cebuana. Total (approx) 10% loss
Via bitcoin/rebit.ph: ~1% commission to rebit, 3% commission to cebuana. Total (approx) 4% loss.
'Course in the bitcoin case there might be an extra 1% to get the bitcoin if you don't already have them.

yeah bitcoin is better than western union. bitcoin charge a lot of fees less but western union charge a lot of fess . when people use bitcoin this time not feel more problem . yes transaction cost is still a constraint in western union. if we choose bitcoin as a medium of payment of the costs of the transaction fee bitcoin will not be felt at all. bitcoin transaction fee is very cheap. |
