It was a magnificent night for Kevin Durant for sure. He got 55 points and 7 rebounds in their game against Atlanta Hawks. And Kyrie Irving contributed highly by 31 points too.  They got 86 points combined and the team got 115 points in this game. However these performances were still not enough for a win as they lost by 122-115. Brooklyn Nets have promoted to the playoffs still thankfully but they must be better at team play to be successful in the playoffs.

Not enough to win the game, but the duo shows how they can really play the game.

It's still possible for them to make it to the next round and whoever will be on the top seed will have a hard time moving
to the next round, if both Stars will continue to be healthy, the chance of Brooklyn in chasing the title is still alive, though
one game at a time that they needed to win to accomplish that chase.

What if these Nets duo are in their off-night, where the Nets will end up? The whole team is relying only on Durant and Irving not giving a chance for others to shine.

I also noticed that these duos are ball hoggers, especially Kyrie. Kyrie's field goal attempts last game on their loss to Atlanta Hawks is 12/32, against Milwaukee Bucks 9/22, another loss prior to that games, 6/22 against Charlotte Hornets. Kevin Durant has 19/28 against the Hawks, 10/21 against the Bucks, and 9/24 against the Hornets although a much better percentage compare to Kyrie.

It's ok to ball hog as long as if they win but that's not what happened in some cases.

Lakers remaining 5 matches is against  x2 Nuggets, Warriors, Suns and Thunder.

Unfortunately, LeBron missed an important game against the Nuggets tonight because he hasn't fully recovered from a recent ankle injury. As a result, the Lakers lost again without him, although it's worth noting that Davis and Westbrook played well in this match as they combined for 55 points.

It doesn't matter how much you score as long as your team doesn't win. Hawks still managed to beat them and that means Durant scoring meant nothing in the end. They are 10th in the east right now and that is not acceptable for a team that has Durant.

The loss was definitely not the result they wanted but the score still matters in his case since he's also competing for the scoring title.

We also have to be reminded that they are 10th because he missed a lot of games due injuries and one player refused to get vaccinated. It's not as if they have a complete or healthy roster and played really bad.

The only  meaning of Durant having that score is personally he can or maybe he will clinched the scoring title. But that's just individual awards though, of course it's good to have that title, but if you are not going to win any title with that huge accomplished, then yeah it doesn't really matter at all. And the thing is, since they are in the 10th spot, their chances of entering the playoff/in is not on their hands.

Lakers lost again and had six losses in a row. While they were in the playoff rim, they were out of the blue. Nikola Jokic scored 38 points. Will Barton scored 25 and Aaron Gordon 24. Without LeBron, Lakers can't get their endgames right. The game was head-to-head until the final six minutes, but the Lakers were stuck in the final half of the last quarter. Jokic played amazing, he's definitely one of this year's MVP nominees.
It would be a shame if Lakers don't make the playoffs with this squad.

Maybe you are not updated on the roster status of those dream team you are mentioning. Lebron, Davis, Durant, Irving suffers injury and out for the game for a long time that result to there team poor performance on this season, They just got back again so obviously they will still need adjustment to get there performance calibrated again. Davis and Lebron just got back in the game last match of Lakers and they are facing a tight match just to get spot on play in match.

Maybe you are not updated on the roster status of those dream team you are mentioning. Lebron, Davis, Durant, Irving suffers injury and out for the game for a long time that result to there team poor performance on this season, They just got back again so obviously they will still need adjustment to get there performance calibrated again. Davis and Lebron just got back in the game last match of Lakers and they are facing a tight match just to get spot on play in match.

The Lakers problems are bigger than just injuries.  Coaching and the Nunn situation aside...  The Westbrook trade right after the Anthony Davis trade was just too much for that roster to handle.  They were gutted of all their players and they didn't attract enough talent willing to sign for the league minimum.  They've now won 2 out of their last 10 games during a time when they should be laying it all out on the floor.  While they still have a chance, unless the Spurs start tanking (they won tonight) it isn't looking good for the Lakers.  A shame because I always like watching LeBron in the postseason.  The Spurs have won 6 out of their last 10 though and seem to be playing really well when they need to.

Indeed, the chance of moving to the playoff still depends on how they will perform in their last few games

and how hornets and hawks will do the same, these 3 teams still tailing each other and they in need of wins to secure the spot

But still, kudos to Davis and Westbrook as Lebron have been impressed by their moves that made the game more exciting. Though they still lost in the end, but Davis and Westbrook have showed their best shots despite of the absence of Lebron. I guess if they can't make it this season, then they should regain their loss and work hard more for the next season.

For the Lakers, they are done this season I mean literally done. They lost to the Nuggets and their remaining schedule will be very hard. I don't expect them to enter even the play-in tournament right now. 2 games below the Spurs and 3 games below the Pelicans. The Lakers need to win on their last 4 games to have a tiny bit of chance to tie with the Spurs.

With the Nets, they dropped to 10th spot and they are performing really bad since the return of Kyrie Irving to play in their homecourt. Kinda disappointing if you will ask me because many are betting that they are the ones that will at least go to NBA Finals but like you said, Nets and Lakers are performing way too low to our expectation or... maybe we just expected too much from them. Anyway, the Nets' final 4 games will be a little easier than Lakers as they will face HOU, NYK, CLE and IND. They are currently tied with the Hornets at 9th and 1 game below the Hawks so the final games for these 3 teams will be crucial.

They are now completely fine and their star players might play more minutes to pass the first round of the playoffs if they will gonna win the play-in tournament and get the playoff spot.

Of course, without a doubt.

That's big problem with them since Kyrie have huge role on their offensive end so maybe for this their opponent will take advantage on that situation. We know they still have solid units around but if they didn't click well and have a bad day for sure they will feel the absence of Kyrie on that situation. So I guess fans are praying to see those restriction go lowers as the cases around the world goes down and they see kyrie play all of their crucial games.

The game against the Lakers must be the first time I witnessed Jokic and Gordon feeling comfortable with each other. There's even one fast break with the two of them being unselfish from Jokic to Gordon then he passes it back for the Joker to shoot it. That type of game will make them a champion if perfected as the defense will always be looking at Jokic, so the roleplayers will always have their free shot.

True, Gordon has really matured when he moved to the Nuggets. Yes, there are still highlights dunks, but this time his game has evolved, he can go play with his back against the opponents, can pass, hit a 3's or even play the opposite team's main main. So for sure he will continue to developed himself in the game and will be a big part of the Nuggets run.

Don't forget Michael Porter Jr. That guy had his moment but just played 9 games this season because of his back injury. I was actually expecting him to be back this post season but according to sports news that might not be the case. Murray and MPJ's return keeps on moving and there's no timeline said of their return. I wish it will be the playoffs when they need every help they could get.

I don't expect Murray and Michael Porter to be back in the playoffs, the current roster is good enough to play against the strong teams in the NBA. Yes, Cousins is really big help, he keeps his stats with the number of minutes he played only and it was really positive IMO. As long as Cousins will stay healthy, that will give Jokic a good breather that he won't be exausted in the playoffs.

These two players showed up that they can carry their teams and win the match, as durant plays in and Out that's why he got a high score and Irving scored drive and outer shot the duo in this team are still fresh and I do hope on the next game third performance end like this, so that they can maintain their winning.

The Brooklyn Nets in-terms of offensive prowess are really good and there is no doubt about that at all especially that they have a great duo like Durant-Irving but I'm seeing the team as very vulnerable in their defensive side as only Drummond who I'm seeing effective in that side. Curry is also best in offensive just like the duo they got.

But they still have a room to improve in that specific area while they are also trying to survive the play-in tournament.

Yes, they were the star players of the team and there was no doubt about that, but I believed that the rest of the team would get some victories without the presence of these allstar players.
Injuries is an important variable that can be decisive in a game, such as what happened to the Suns last season or with Warriors in the 2018/2019 Finals against Raptors.

Hmm... what you said is interesting, I believe the Lakers and Nets have a smallchance of qualifying for the playoffs, these last games they will have will be extremely decisive.
If these teams don't qualify for the playoffs this season, I look forward to them coming into the next season stronger and better structured compared to this limited season they've had.
