The fact that they already fired Frank Vogel then I assume that they are already eyeing someone else to do the vacant job. The Lakers management have those money to hire coaches again but the question is, does this new future head coach can give them the goal they want? We'll see about that soon. It's just sad for me to think that after Frank Vogel gave them a championship title last 2020, he will be just fired just like that without getting informed before it was leaked.

Nets got the seventh place ticket as we expected. Cavs tried to stay in the game until last moments but it wasn't enough. Garland played big but didn't get much help from others. Nets led the game whole night. Kyrie played almost flawless, he didn't miss a shot until last quarter. Durant was as good as his average. Bruce Brown was an x-factor as he attempted the most field goals. That was because Cavs defend with too many double-team against Kyrie and Durant and that created him more space. As you can see from assist numbers, that strategy worked well for Nets. It was a fair result. Nets will meet with Celtics in play-offs.

That was an extremely efficient scoring by Kyrie and quite a balanced team contribution. I think Bowen could have (or should have) done more with his 18 points from 19 attempts. With that kind of output from Nets bench, a team with better offense like Celtics could apply the same type of defense on KD and/or Kyrie will have better chance of winning than the Cavs.

This is the first time since Kyrie and Kevin Durant were paired that they both achieved a double-double and it's both in points and assists which means they are distributing the ball in a very good way. This is what I want to see from day 1. Every player/team already knew they are assassins offensively, so if they could just pass the ball perfectly while they are surrounded someone will absolutely make a shot without anyone defending them.
KD especially, he is a magnet for a double team.

There is no chance for the Timberwolves to beat the Grizzlies. I'll go with Memphis in 5 games here.

Yeah, that's one thing that will go against the Lakers with Westbrook contract, it's a risk they take and it didn't pay off as they suffered one of the worst season of Lebron not making the playoff when 2-3 years ago they are the NBA champions.

It will be interesting who is going to replace Frank, lots of name floating around, but we will see from the higher ups as to who they are going to pick.

Don't underestimate the Law of Attraction regarding Russell Westbrook. There will always be a team that will sign him. The candidate is Indiana Pacers. Analyzing technically, he is fit on that team. But in return, the Pacers might give up some of their role players although it's still a rumor.

We can only wait on the post-season to see some of the shocking trade events and one thing is for sure, Los Angeles Lakers will be again one of the trade headlines as it was necessary. People are always focused on trading Westbrook but not focus on a Lakers player that still got a high salary this season despite being absent the whole season. What a waste of a roster.

There will be always some other teams who are thinking to get Westbrook because he can still produce good numbers if he can be given the role of an Alpha in the team with a good supporting player and not a support role just like he have this season. I know that Westbrook will train more this summer to improve himself because I also do believe that even him cannot believe his average PPG this season.

Yes, that is already expected from the Lakers to be in the trading headlines once again as they really need to rebuild their team and invest in younger players.

Well if the price is right and reasonable then there would be that someone who is willing to take that job, unless the management approved that coach. It was quite a season for the Cavs. I can't believe their season is almost finished if they lose the next game. But both of Atlanta or Charlotte teams are very good. Those games are going to be very enjoyable. Still, hard to guess who will be the Heat's opponent in the playoffs. I still see Cavs as favourite though.

It was expected that they are going to win against the young Cavs. In the beginning everyone was very happy (including myself because I have a bet on them at a handicap). Because they have built a good lead, as high as 22 points in the first quarter alone. But in the second quarter, it was cut by the Cavs and I said to myself that it's a very dangerous bet because the Cavs is capable of cutting it in half. And by every quarter, they manage to trim it to down and unfortunately, the lead was not enough for everyone or at least the majority who have them at -8.5.

Nets and Timberwolves have already reached 1/8-finals stage in the playoffs. And there are two games left in the play-in stage. These games are Hawks - Hornets and Pelicans - Spurs. These games both are going to be played tonight. Hawks and Pelicans are the favourite sides of these games. I don't have much doubt about Hawks honestly. But I'm not so sure about Pelicans. Because Spurs' performance in the recent times has been quite impressive. Maybe they can catch their opponent by surprise.

The Clippers didn't utilize Paul George in the final minutes. I don't even understand why.

Paul George put up an impressive 3Q performance after the worst shooting in the first half. The Clippers blew their lead and the Timberwolves made around 20+ points run over less than 10 for the Clippers to take the lead and then eventually win (correct me here).

There is also some clutch 3 points from PG that give a chance for them to close the game. But a missed layup and turnovers by Reggie Jackson during the crucial minutes were lead to Timberwolves to add some of their leads.

As far as next series this is going to be a great series.  Think Memphis pushes them but I can see this one going 6 or 7.

In that last night's game, the Timberwolves adjust as Karl-Anthony Towns is not in a good shape throughout the game. It means the team is still competitive as long as some of their players will adjust too like the man of the night, Anthony Edwards, and D'Angelo Russell.

I can't compare the Clippers to Memphis but as long as the Timberwolves will keep that playing level, they might upset the trending Memphis Grizzlies although even without Ja Morant, this team is really good and dangerous.

Grizzlies I think will win the series by Game 5 or 6.

Against the Memphis Grizzlies? That will be a challenge for them that needed to conquer and certainly they will struggle as the Grizzlies is also tough to beat.

It's really a tough challenge for the Timberwolves to face the Memphis Grizzlies. This team is awesome and no one even expects they will sit at the top of the Western Conference standings this season. There should be no worst night by Karl-Anthony Towns as they need to always play at their best and in a complete lineup in order to defeat the Memphis Grizzlies 4 times.

If the Memphis Grizzlies will able to take the first 2 win lead at the start, I will conclude that it's goodbye now for the Timberwolves.
