Nuggets won even with a bleeding Jokic and speaking of the soon-to-be MVP.
2000 points, 1000 rebounds, and 500 assists. First player in NBA history who made a record like that in a single season.  Shocked Astonishing.
He does everything for the Nuggets team and plays almost every game of the season. 74 games played.
And more good news circling around about the return of Jamal Murray and according to NBA on TNT postgame show, it came from Coach Malone.
He "might" play in the playoffs.
Found this also on Twitter.
https://twitter.com/msinger/status/1512227656279859200?s=20&t=rmjj4r7r4BOkwXA-kgN7SA

Yes, that's Jamal.

That's great news for the Nugget's fans, however, my only concern is whether, will he be the same Jamal that we saw in the last playoffs? He has been out for more than a season, I'm not sure if he still has that confident though, but regardless, he can still contribute well as long as coach Malone will manage his minutes effectively.

^^ Yeah, it will be good to see Jamal back in action again, although Jokic is doing good as having MVP numbers again, he still needs Jamal at his side to be able to kick off their playoff run.

And if by chance Murray play, ohh, it will be a hard fought West series, regardless of who they are going to face in the round 1, it will be very close series.

Yet another super ugly loss by the Chicago Bulls, I just don’t understand why these guys simply can’t beat any good teams at all. Thankfully they haven’t lost even more games or they’d be in the unfortunate position of having to face off versus either the play-in teams like the Nets might be or fall so far they’d have to face one of the very top teams in the east (Philadelphia 76rs, Milwaukee Bucks etc). I still have little faith they can do anything else other than maybe win one series, no way they can win two.
As much as I want them to experience the Finals this year, but it seems like they lost the momentum they had early this season. And they're going to face either the Bucks, Phila, or Celtics. That's some tough opponent right there and I have a bad feeling they'll be eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
They had a good season early though. They were better against everyone in the league at one point.
They didn't just lose the momentum, but they lost the fluidity that they played as well. They were a dominant force back when the season started, and now they look like they are lost in the game as well most of the time. I do not know why, I do not know what happened, maybe teams figured their tactic out and defend accordingly which makes it difficult for them.

However, I know that it is really not that easy to beat all those teams and go to finals when your strategy doesn't work anymore. I still hope that they could find that rhythm back again and could go to finals. A Suns vs Bulls finals could be either amazing, or way too boring to watch.

That's not gonna happen with the way the Bulls are playing now, I don't even think that they'll pass the first round. Sorry, but it seems like their popularity is just a short-lived one, they are exposed maybe by their opponent and they have taken advantage of their weakness.

We already knew the Golden State Warriors would beat the Lakers, but Talen Horton-Tucker's performance with the Lakers surprised me. He scored 40 points in this game and I think he showed that he is one of the players who will make the most of his name in the future.
If he works a little harder and has 1-2 more good players next to him, this young player's star can shine, I think he has potential Smiley

He was not able to show his true potential because the Lakers already have the big 3 that is expected to produce for the team. Look how the other players are playing with the big 3 are absent, they still play well despite because undermanned and that's what the Laker's management failed to utilize.

Jokic's performance is one of the best we've seen in years. This guy is a true star player and I don't think there is a better candidate to be MVP. I really like what he does, I wonder if he will stay with the Nuggets next year.
I think this player deserves to be champion, I would like to see him in a better team Cheesy
There was Embiid who is doing well this season but Jokic is just too good because he provides consistency and the team's ranking is going up despite they are missing Murray and Porter Jr.

As we can read in this article.
https://sports.yahoo.com/nba-betting-nikola-jokic-is-now-massive-mvp-favorite-180117990.html

It says that he is already a massive favorite to win the award this season, he is now  -275 favorite to win.

^^ Yes your are correct, the last time I checked, (about a month ago), Embiid was all over the MVP race and he is the odds favorite.

But recently, Jokic and Giannis is doing good numbers statistically and bringing their team to a win why the Sixers, even with Harden is losing games right now. But for sure it will be a close fight for the MVP between the 3.

Embiid is the top pick for the MVP at the start because of his statistics that really deserves a MVP.
Jokic on the other hand though also gets numbers that aren't that high but his impact with the team is higher than Embiid.

Jokic is like Mr. Everything. He can shoot, he can pass, he can rebound, he can be a point center of the Nuggets and many already thought that the Nuggets aren't going to be a playoff team because Murray and MPJ are out but they are because of him. They are now at the 6th with a chance to go 5th. He deserves a back to back MVP title.

It's true that having Ben Simmons is a risky move to them especially if he's actually going to play in the playoffs and not in the regular season where his skills in the team or he will be fit or not should be tested first. However, they haven't much of a choice now if they want to be the champion this season because they are really vulnerable in their defense and having Simmons can somehow provide that role. If indeed Simmons will fit in their system then that would really advance them and help the present duo.

By the way, I recently saw a video in which Ben Simmons airballed a few free throws during the Nets practice, and it means that he is still far from his former playing shape. Honestly, I even doubt that Simmons might be helpful for his new teammates even if he is fully healthy during the playoff series.

That's already not new because he's been struggling to do that even before the issue and it's not his best asset that's why 76ers kept him before they traded him for James Harden. He can adjust his shooting skills in the summer league or even before that but now is not the right time to experiment if he can still shoot or not especially if it's really needed. What he can do for now to help the Nets is his defensive mindset because that's what they lack, that's why they're still losing even though Durant and Irving contributed big points for the team.

Gobert was interviewed and said if it was making the team better it was all Nikola Jokic. He approves about him being MVP which I think is right. It's the value of a  player that matter and he had been lifting the Nuggets when Murray and MPJ was injured. They have Gordon yes, but the Joker had always been the center of their everything. He even made a new record that was not done since the start of the league. That should be a big plus to consider if ever the voting system will have the higher percentage to win.

Who knows things will be change when he is on nets especially if he get proper support to his teammates and his coaches then he will got huge confidence to shot more better than when he is on sixers, But I believe Nets will not get a problem in that area since they already have quality shooters on their team and most provably they need Simmons defensive presence and passing to make their team more better.

He is already playing great when he is still in the Philadelphia 76ers but he had a huge ego even if it was just a small deal fight and he even chose to leave his teammates hanging when they needed him the most and that's not good. I'm seeing that reasons that the Nets won't be so reliant to him as he already have that history with him. Yes, he may not be good at offensive but it's still not too late for him to work himself out and his talent in the defensive side could be very helpful in the team.

To be honest, Ben needs to give his best here since all eyes are on him when he will gonna play for the Brooklyn Nets for the first time. He just needs to play good defense and a little bit of offense like Rodman does in his prime if Ben wanted to really Help the Nets win some games in the playoffs. This is not the right time to regain himself and made a comeback by forcing some shots, he needs to know his position and role so that they can even pass the first round if he wants to.

That's the reason why I like him and recognize him as a good player as well cause even though in offensive time he can not compete to other players but still he has a teammates to do it with him and when we say defensive skills they have similarities between to rodman very good skills in defense he can handle and pressure his opponent  while handling the ball.

To be honest, I agree he needs to adjust and not to force to contribute in terms of offense. They've got a lot of players who can do that,

He can use his speed defending scorers. I like this kid way back in sixers he have that competitive mentality
taking scorers to try limiting their productions.

He can do that again during his stay, he can be like Kukoc when he played with Pippen and Jordan, he can take
some shots but more on adjusting to his defensive capabilities. He mostly needed on that part.

And that's the main spice of being an MVP, doing everything for the best of the team, not just for personal stats

but to help the team in winning the game, Joker despite of being a center, he has that great talent distributing the ball, a very simple

but yet impacting when he's inside the court. He deserves to win another MVP award but both Giannis and Embiid are also doing everything

to win this award, whoever wins deserves to own the title. Only one will take the trophy!

It is just sad to see LA Lakers being out of the playoff stage in this season. But they deserved this for sure. Because they haven't been that good as a team the whole season. And they deserved to be out of the title race as a result. Lebron just tried to carry the team by himself but of course it wasn't going to be enough for them. Lebron hasn't been contented with the team for a long time. They haven't built a lineup that he would like. And if they don't do this again, I wonder what Lebron is thinking of doing.

LeBron hinted that he wanted to play with Stephen Curry, and Steph responded that he's good.  I think there is less and less demand for LeBron's talents these days, as teams know they have to gut their roster to build around him if they want to win a championship.  At 37, 38 next year, there just isn't much of a reason to gut your roster to build around a guy that has maybe 3 years left in the league.

In typical LeBron fashion, he's decided to sit out the rest of the year because of his ankle sprain.  He's definitely not Michael Jordan, or Kobe, but he's statistically the greatest NBA player of all time.  I'd still want MJ taking the last shot if I were in charge...

LeBron hinted that he wanted to play with Stephen Curry, and Steph responded that he's good.

Imagine a world where Lakers get wiggins and some draft picks and whatever filler they can. In exchange for that Warriors get Lebron. I mean not only he is good enough even at that age, but dude would be the perfect player to play in that team. Just give him the ball, and watch him pile up assists like crazy. This isn't just lebron though, like rondo could do that even at this age, but his position is filled with curry, lebron is a great big that can pass, he could play the small ball line up as well. I mean this is just unreal for Warriors if it were to happen, would change the way a bit but could still be awesome for sure. Would love to watch that before he retires, dude could have like 12-13 assists per game avarages realistically and reach like 20 assists multiple times if he ever played there.
