I am afraid NBA may not come back in a month like we assumed when it was postponed. The disease looks a lot more serious than it looked just a week ago and there is a lot more prevention nowadays.
I doubt we can really get rid of it in a month, this "heat will kill it" thing turned out semi-wrong as well, it does help with having a lot better immune system so I doubt we can actually call it wrong but it also doesn't instantly kill it neither, you just get it and survive it easier and it makes it not as deadly and when you have it once and get better its harder to get it again, so heat does help a bit but its not the cure right away. Plus there is no medicine/drug we know of yet, so we are going to probably have to wait a lot longer than just one month break.

I agree, it doesn't look like its coming back any time soon, there is no way they can start it back up in april like nothing happened, we are literally in a global epidemic that is about to kill every single human on earth if we do not do something about it. Do you realize that even if you survive it does permanent damage to your lungs? And did you know that even though it is unlikely you can still get it back again after a while? This means it will hurt you bad on the first time and it will kill you on the second time, if not on the third time because you will get worse and worse every time you get better.
As long as scientists do not recover some sort of medicine that will destroy the virus, we are going towards a doomsday scenario right now, there is no world without actually fixing the problem we have right now, I do not want everyone to freak out, it is not as serious as world ending most probably and we will definitely find a solution eventually even if a million people dies, but it is also not as little as "lets get the games back" neither, it is more serious than that. If the games cancelled until next season I would totally understand it and respect that decision.

Because of this COVID-19 outbreak, let's talk about the last (corona) game. It was against to Mavericks and Nuggets. Where Boban Marjanovic puts up a career high (31 PTS 12/20 FG 17 REBS) in which a memorable day for him. Despite of not having so much playing time, thus he does become efficient on both offense and defense that judt gave Jokic 14 PTS.
That was the best game of his career, I think there was no porzingis at that time, I check the box scored I did not see his name. I haven't watch that game but I'd be interested to watch the replay now that we are lock down at home, thanks for bringing that here, I'll check how he did that.

Sorry but I got confuse, so you are saying Gobert already had this virus when Jazz played the Raptors?
I thought he got this during the interview when he was touching the microphones.
Gobert already has the virus before that touching the mic scene. Since the estimated period where symptoms of the virus will show is 14 days, it's not only the Raptors that might get affected but other teams as well, the Detroit Pistons, Boston Celtics and the Washington Wizards. These teams are now in self-quarantine since Gobert was tested positive and as stated above, Raptors players and staffs are found negative of the virus. So after the Raptors game when he was listed as questionable to play, he already had that virus? Thanks for the clarification, but did the doctors said he already had that days before? I mean Gobert did not feel the symptoms, he was playing well at in the past games, this really bad, so is there any news yet about on the status of the other players that the Jazz have played during the time when Gobert was presume to already had the virus? Correct. Gobert has the virus already on their game against the Raptors. After that, he feels sick but prior on Jazz vs Raptors tip-off, he is now fit to play but medics ended up on the decision to test him with Covid-19 test. Someone posted here the story. Just check back a few page. And to your question about the status of other Jazz players, Donovan Mitchell also tested positive. He's the only got infected but the whole team is still subject to self-quarantine 14 days from the day Gobert was tested positive. So expect that we can have a full report after the quarantine period.

In that case it might even affect next season, if current one drags for too long. What NBA could do to shorten the playoff season once it starts is to reduce amount of wins needed. So maybe go for best of 5 series for all games except the final. It wouldn't be something that we didn't in NBA before, as from 1984 till 2003 that's how first round of playoff was sorted. Or maybe even introduce best of 3, as it was before that, for thr first playoff round. There is one even more exciting idea, albeit completely unrealistic: single elimination tournament. So something similar to NCAA and "March Madness". For me that is sometimes even more exciting that NBA playoffs, but I doubt that NBA is ready for that kind of experiment. It is hard to plan anything though, since no one knows how and when will all this end. They can also shorten this regular season and do the playoffs and finals in the same format. Then have another shorten regular season next year. Playoffs and finals are the most exciting games, so I do not think fans will want a shortened format for playoffs and finals. NBA can easily recover revenue losses in many other ways. I am afraid NBA may not come back in a month like we assumed when it was postponed. The disease looks a lot more serious than it looked just a week ago and there is a lot more prevention nowadays.
Even if they find a cure right now, it will still take time to mass-produce and distribute it. It will really take time before the world will be back to normal.

But at least this will add confidence to people to go out because they are certain they'll not get infected again. If there is a vaccine, we can prioritize the athletes so we can see them playing again and the NBA season will resume, they can play without fans right, so maybe that's the first step for the NBA just to resume, then eventually fans will see them watching as more and more vaccine are being produce and distributed. First priority now is to look for a vaccine, after that, for sure people will start living as normal again.

You certainly would enjoy it. Yeah, there is no Porzingis at that day, which Rick Carlisle unleashed him to the bench and puts up a show that gave a smile to the fans that are watching, despite the terrifying COVID-19 update that is happening. It might be Marjanovic is there key weapon in playoffs, that's why they don't often use him at the regular season.

Donovan Mitchell is feeling great. It may really not affect on them since they are all healthy athletic people. https://twitter.com/BleacherReport/status/1239549150729035776In isolation but all the test with him are negative with fever, also, no symptoms. I think he is also enjoying the isolation watching his highlights. Smiling and looking pretty well. We should still wait for more news. 14 days is still the maturity of this shitty virus.

Hays, this is sad. No more games because of this virus. I wish that the infected players will completely recover and be cured as soon as possible. The tracking should be done and the people they've talked to and interacted with before knowing that they were infected must also go into self-quarantine to avoid further infections. For sure the team owners and the commissioners will take actions in order to lessen the possibilities of much wider spread of this virus around their premises. Fans are likely to accept this actions from the league governors in order not to bring more risk and have more casualties. That's what they can do and contribute to reduce the spread as much as possible. Social distancing is one method to lessen the spread and thus, let's wish all the best for everyone who are badly affected by the disease. Donovan Mitchell is feeling great. Agree to you that things are no longer taking correctly as they are bringing more panics than to sort whate should be the correct information to help the government and the people itself to be more aware and relied with the right information.

This is certainly a good news, but also expected, as huge majority of people either don't feel the symptoms or they are very light, barely noticeable. And since these guys are professional athletes in their prime, so it won't affect them much. If any. I read somewhere that he is ok now in regards to Gobert and all that situation, and that is incredibly important for Jazz team. In the end, they are professionals and grown up people, and it seems like reason prevailed. That of course doesn't mean that we shouldn't be careful and that NBA break wasn't the right call at the moment until we know more . Maybe isolation of those that are in the risk group would be better solution, and everyone else just continue with their business as usual, therefore continuing with NBA. It is a gamble though, and we are talking about human lives after all.

But it is really a good call by the NBA to suspend the games, everyone should also be careful so that the we can't get infected and do we hope that this nightmare will be over and we begin to normalised again.

Since theres no still cure for Covid then the only thing you can rely on is on your own immune system. We know the rate of recovery for those who do have healthy body and strong immune system.\ So theres no doubt that these players that had been affected would really recover for sure.I cant really blame much about media yet they are just doing up their job.Panic is always there yet we know that everything had been messed up due to covid. Its a good news that those test were have negative results but as mentioned as long the 14 day period isnt over we cant still be sure.

Indeed this is one of the good news for the league, I wonder what he is doing in the Isolation room to kill his time. Thanks, for the NBA they suspend the league early because if it went out of control, we can see every team has some positive case of Corona Virus. All we have to do now is to remain calm and follow every instruction our government told us, we need to be cooperative to stop the spread of this virus. I want to see some NBA game highlights again after this suspension, hopefully this epidemic will end soon than we expected.

Rudy Gobert posted a video yesterday. You can see the link below https://twitter.com/BleacherReport/status/1239236522639077376Let's see how this virus affects people because I've heard to one of my countrymen that lives in china and being lockdown there for a whole month that sometimes it takes 3 weeks or 1 month for the virus reflect, show some symptoms and health problem. Doesn't matter if it's true or not, hopefully, there is no bad things would happen to all affected.

I would still not expect too much about him, his size is his advantage but it could be a disadvantage as well as he is slow, their opponent might be playing small like the Rockets who are still doing it until now. One game is not enough, we have to see some consistency here, we might know it when the NBA season comes back.
