Looks like the Lakers will not name their 2 positive players which were diagnosed last March 19. Don't know the reason or maybe to prevent further panic and stress on these players but what do you think guys, is it necessary to name these players? For me, yes and no. YES, because teams must always be open to the public and NO because they assuring that they are following the protocol to contained these players.

They really should. It ain't a shame but to save more people.
What if this 2 guys forgot where they had been while they are already carrying the virus.

If they will broadcast it there is a chance someone will remember they got near this two and save their lives when checked.
It is really that big of a company to cover this all.
Gobert, Mitchell and even the Knicks owner was revealed, so why not them? It's BS. Is one of them Lebron? 

If its necessary that they will be revealed, then I guess the NBA would reveal the names.
These players have covid-19, they are sure under monitoring now, and for sure they stay at the hospital until they will fully recover.
The Lakers management has the responsible to make these players recover and to keep themselves quarantine to ensure they'll not infect other people.

• Players/Management request not to publicly announce the identity.

KD can now play but the season has been stopped man

Kevin Durant is out of the whole season so even the NBA didn't suspend the remaining games or basically the whole season, we will not see him in action.

He is expected to play next season that's why the time Nets decided to sign him, other analyst takes that as gambling as Durant will have a player option 2 years later. In other words, only one season is the assurance that Durant will play for the team and if it will not have good progress next season, it might affect Durant's decision in the future.

That's the gamble for taking him out from GSW, the Nets gamble with him believing that he might change the fate of this team after this season

Therefore we should not take it seriously, I'd rather listen to the commissioner as his estimate is more accurate than the owner who will not decide on when the NBA will resume. There's a lot of factors to consider, the main factor is the pandemic, on when it will stop which until now the government don't have a concrete solution yet.

I would understand if the players were not named and still go outside and live a regular life basically killing others because they are spreading the virus. However, I am 100% sure that players who tested positive for corona virus will not be going outside, they will stay inside at their HUGE homes and basically not contact with anyone at all, anything they get will be ready made from special chefs and they will have maids and basically all the equipment there could be to prevent everyone who works with them from protective equipment to health products.

So, basically it is not hurting anyone when you do not name these players, it is not really that important, all 15 of them are probably staying at home right now without going outside anyway so it doesn't require transparency for the time being.

These are huge numbers and no one can ignore them (I think about infected people).
I think the NBA league is strongly suggested by what happened in China. The Chinese wanted to resume the basketball league at the beginning of April, but they realized that accelerating this type of sporting events could very much hinder the complete neutralization of the coronavirus. The basketball league in China will not resume matches until the end of April, and maybe even in May it will not be ready for it.
Observing what is happening in the US I think it is far too early to try to set any dates for the resumption of the league at all. Now everyone should focus on their own and the players safety.

As long as Lakers sorted all people that were in the direct contact with those 2 players, and if they are properly controlling them, I have no issues with them hiding that info from the public. Even though I don't see a reason to hide this, or to be ashamed, it is not those players fault, virus was given to them by someone else.

Yeah. If you will notice, LeBron James' name is always on the news during the quarantine period. If I will apply my "non-sense" observation, either he's is really virus-free or they are creating this regular exposure of him to show people that he's healthy.

According to the report, it's Lakers' discretion not to named those players. I don't see any negative impact on any team if they named those players. They are honestly good at hiding some clues. But one thing I'm sure, the involved players are part of the main core.

I just dont get it, why the Lakers management hid the identity of those two players, when we essentially need transparency for the covid cases for our security.
Anyway, I guess most of the player has been recovered already except for Durant? I'm not sure, but he'll surely recover, these guys have a very strong immune system anyway, imagine contracting the virus without having any serious symptoms.

I didn't even have the slightest thought that there is such a rule.
But the image looks wrong which is the Lakers holding the trophy.
It will be the Bucks.  

To be clear, the rule states that the team that will be crowned as champions will be the team with the best record for the current calendar year. The Milwaukee Bucks may lead the NBA with a 53-12 record on the season, but it is actually the Lakers who have the best record since January. Milwaukee currently holds a 24-7 record in 2020, while L.A. stands at 24-6. This would mean that the Lakers will be crowned as the 2019-20 champions, handing LeBron his fourth NBA title in his career.
