Depends on the player we are talking about and the amount of money that is being cut. Rookies with low end draft do not get proper amount of money like you guys may imagine, with the way they have to live because of all the travel we are talking about actually being in negative for a while. You see guys like Lebron getting 1 billion dollar life time deal from Nike and assume everyone is like that.
Bare bottom drafted rookie or even undrafted rookie gets like 700k salary, half of that goes to taxes usually (maybe not exactly) some goes to agent and some goes to accountant and some goes to team expenses, and spend some on your regular house (like literally what you and I can live but in some high end city if they were picked by them) and you have yourself actually a debt and not even a good life, it is just a bad apartment in an expensive city and you will be going to games and coming back and that's it.

I can't think of any other poll but the same as before of who will be the next season's champ. Which teams do you see as this year's favorites? It's pretty early, we didn't see draft, trades and transfers yet. Honestly I don't know which teams to put on voting poll. I'm not also so sure which team is going to be the next season's titleholder. But if it's the favorites, I'm sure that it's the Lakers. Usually after the season and whoever took the championship is the one that's being favored by most people. Just like when GSW's years, they've been always the favorite when they're dominating.

For those who are a bit oldies, maybe they can still remember this guy. Here's his stats and the teams he have played in this career. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/johnsed03.html

Big news! Gordon Hayward wants out of Celtics contract for 2020-21 seasonGordon Hayward's future with the Boston Celtics is getting murkier by the day.
Hayward can earn $34.1 million next season by opting into the final year of his Celtics contract, and many assumed he'd take that option in light of the injuries and inconsistencies that have prevented him from reaching his full potential. What team do you think will be interested of getting him, no question he has a star quality as a player but his injury problem is one of the reason's a team might not risk for big money to get him.

Just to clear out the Eddie Johnson thing. There are two of them with the same name. The one is sentenced to life imprisonment with 100+ different charges and the last was sexual abuse with young girls. He was called "Fast" Eddie Johnson. He played with Hawks and SuperSonics Full name: Edward Lee Johnson Jr.Confirmed death recently. The other one is mostly known in Houston. His last team in his playing career. But what mixed it up is because he also played for SuperSonics. Full name: Edward Arnet JohnsonStill fine.I hope that clears things. This happens a lot and Eddie Arnet Johnson endured all that trouble.

And with his injuries he has definitely lose some spots in the Celtics that's why he has seldom been used. I'm not sure what team he can be a perfect fit, but he can be a complementary player to some team that has stars already but lacks the needed support scoring wise.

That's a bad news for the Celtics I guess. But, I want Hayward to join the Denver Nuggets. I don't know but I feel like Jokic and Murray is a good asset for the Nuggets and I want them to have another superstar (though Hayward isn't an all-star anymore, but his contribution to the team is noticeable somehow). That way they'll become a strong and a championship contender team. I don't know but I really want the young Denver Nuggets to win a championship.

This is the counterpart for each player that will be injured. Speculating which team is going to take him with his condition, we'll never know. It's too early to speculate and have a guess which team will get him. But it's going to be surprised if the team that will get him is the team that we're not expecting.

He may be injured and does not shows a good performance for celtics but I think he can managed to do good the next season. He had shown already good performance during the playoffs but they just have strong opponent that beat them, the lakers. Miami had stand no chance against lakers but they could be a good match to celtics if only lebron is not in the lakers team probably the championship team is between celtics and Miami.

It's really hard to tell since there's no rumor yet on which team will take him since for sure they will think about his health condition and contribution on the team if they will take him out and I think Hayward will struggle on this since there are so many good free agents which is healthy. But it's good to see him in the bench since for sure even if he can't contribute on the court for sure the experience he bring on the bench will be useful for the team who will pick him.

Back then when he still playing with Jazz then yes he can be called as star but after that injury with LeBron, he ain't getting any rhythm anymore and suffer more from other injuries. He may get offer for role players and be compensated enough to enjoy his career, He's time already passed and he can't bring his game back in shape anymore, whoever team sign him up we will see if what adjustment the coach will provide for him.

Maybe Miami Heat would be interested in signing a contract with him, and I guess Hayward still has good potential to play at the same level even after that terrible injury. So, Miami's starting lineup would be looked good on "paper" (Dragic/Herro, Butler, Hayward, Crowder, Adebayo).

Yeah, that will be a super offensive threat. But is it players that are lacking with Miami Heat right now? I think it is the experience they need. They have Haslem and Iguodala already who could provide details on how to be champions. They are just still young to make it happen.

It is very difficult to predict if who will be the team that will likely to become champion to 2021 NBA season because it is pretty difficult to say that Lakers will create a back to back championship as other team will surely to prepare in order to get the crown.
If there will be no big changes to players especially in Lakers then I can say that Lakers still has a bigger chance that it can reach again to the playoffs. Though it is still very early to predict as the season is not starting yet but I will love to hear the opinion of other member here if who will be their favorite team to win the 2021 crown.

Too early for that, there are many adjustments that will happened and for sure if Lakers wants that back to back they'll be go with the flow, they won't let other teams to beat them that easy and while they'll have Lebron and Davis they just need to sorround them with role players that's fit to the types of game this two superstars have. If there will be no big changes to players especially in Lakers then I can say that Lakers still has a bigger chance that it can reach again to the playoffs.
No doubts about that, if there's no major change but for sure it's impossible, all teams wanted to upgrade and willing to allocate their funds to make sure getting the chance of winning the title. Though it is still very early to predict as the season is not starting yet but I will love to hear the opinion of other member here if who will be their favorite team to win the 2021 crown.
Yeah right too early indeed. Major changes will be done and fans will surely changes teams after.

There is no way any team would want 34 million dollars on their books that could use him to a point it would actually worth 34 million dollars. Let's be honest he got that deal when he was a very good player, but he didn't really worth 34 million dollars any point in his career.
He was definitely a great player but we are talking about 15th biggest salary in the NBA and I could name at least 25 better players than Hayward right now, sure there are some who are young and there are some who didn't get the super max just yet because of accolades (I mean doncic gets rookie contract according to rules) but even at his height he didn't worth 15th best salary if you ask me.
His best season was like a 21 ppg year and I do not feel like that really worths a 34 million dollar contract, at best he deserves around 22 million or so. Which is why I believe nobody will take him, he stays one more year at Celtics and goes for a lower contract after next year never getting paid that much ever again.

I can't wait to see the 2021 NBA season starts. Last season, Lakers had wonderful games and they succeeded in being the champions. I wish Heat would make their work be harder and see a more challenging series. It is too early to make predictions for the new season. We will wait and observe which team will start the season the best.

Heat with the same squad will always struggle against a healthy West team (whichever teams will enter in the Finals) because they are just composed of one real superstar and a bunch of young players who does not have enough playoffs experience. I'm leaning for the Nets, Celtics, and Sixers next season for the East.
