While there are others who are seeing Lakers negatively, I'm the one who is thinking like "This is only pre-season and I believe that the Lakers are hiding something in their sleeves that will help them in the regular season".

I hope I am that optimistic. All I can think about is how they will develop their chemistry. In terms of roster they have almost all the best veterans in the league but when it comes to chemistry, they might be in the top 10 of the worse. I don't think they are hiding something and you can see it with the reactions of Frank Vogel. The game with the Kings is almost like a regular season game and they are having a hard time finding their rhythm at both ends of the floor.

Well if you will see their past resumes, most of them are all stars and most of them are the go-to guy when they are at their primes in their past teams. That isn't the case right now. They are old enough to get outsped by other young players. I'm not saying though that they are not a strong team but we are expecting too much from them and we are disregarding their ages and their chemistry as well.

They are old and they also have limitations as well. We are expecting that they will build a chemistry as they play for a longer time but even though it will be built, I don't think that they are that dominant that to the point that they will be at the top in Western Conference though we might see them in playoffs. Earlier this off-season we are expecting Nets Vs. Lakers in NBA Finals but now that the Lakers are playing this way, do you think that these 2 teams will meet at the NBA Finals still??

That's all correct but Finals? They can but it's the West and it's going to be a rough road for them before achieving it, with GSW, Suns, and Clippers at a healthy roster.

Lakers have been horrible during the preseason but it is preseason so they are thinking this is fine. I believe that we are going to start seeing them taking this a lot more serious however with westbrook and AD and rondo, it is looking like they have 3 players who are not shooting with great rate and that is going to hurt them a lot in the future. AD should realize that he is not going to be some three point shooting curry like player and should be playing like a center now, he hates it but he needs to learn it because he is already good at it.

Westbrook needs to realize that this team is Lebrons team and he needs to be second player or even third player behind AD and that is going to be something very hard psychologically for him to accept but that is the only way. This team will either blow up like 2012-2013 Lakers period with Nash, Howard, Kobe, Artest, Gasol type of team, or they are going to learn how to play together and they are going to be great. It is up to them and we will just have fun watching them.

If what you have observed is true, then we have nothing to worry about in the regular season even though they are winless in the preseason. Due to the hype of the Lakers team now, we can't prevent from people worrying a bit as they were expecting to see the Lakers to dominate, even in the preseason.

They arent still on their best and i agree that they are testing on something because this isnt the right time for them to make that serious honestly basing on my own opinion but they shouldnt really be that confident though
because having some bad numbers does totally affect in overall performance or stats.

With the pre-season standing 0-6 yes it was horribly worst standing from a team with a lot of superstars, but If you take a look at the games they played with the stars on the floor, they were just actually building up the chemestry, trying out the plays, and they're actually winning. What made them lost is because superstars were rested on the 4th, and most G-leaguers played in the final quarter.

We can see the true Laker plays on the regular season and let's judge them from there If they're actually horrible or not.

Most likely, Davis will be the third player, not Russell. However, I agree that Westbrook should adapt his style of play to James, AD, and other teammates. Also, he shouldn't worry about triple-doubles during the regular season and especially in the playoffs if he really wants to win the first title in his career.

I would suggest you don't get your hopes up too high about Lakers. They're known for poor performances and constant disappointment to fans. Westbrook has been trying but not enough. I remember when the highlight of last season was about the big 3 of Brooklyn Nets. We all saw how it ended. Hoping they find their rhythm soon.

^^ Only two teams that I saw that happen, The Bulls 1995-1996 season (not sure if some of you have been born already) and then the Warriors 2015-2016.

Those two teams are great, they've been playing for years before they dominate the league.

So I'm not sure if Lakers with their current line up can accomplished it within one season. Not saying that they are not that good, but with the level of competition right now, it's going to be very difficult.

Lakers will not do it, they are struggling in the preseason already and that's an evidence that they will not do well early in the regular season. They will have to work on their chemistry first before I would say they have a chance, and remember, Lebron is not young anymore, he has some limitations that's why he chooses to play with the star players so his burden will be lighter.

I agree, it's hard to duplicate the teams that won 70++ games in single season, not Lakers or Nets this year. Lebron is still playing high caliber, but he is no longer in his prime and so is the majority of the Lakers team. They can go and run for the championship though, but winning a lot of games will be tough. Maybe 50 games is more likely 55++ is a stretch.

A lot of options really for the Lakers and they might be doing experiment on it this pre-season games.

Or maybe they are just trying to trick us, like Westbrook awful game and a lot of turnovers. And that pick n roll will be very effective and Westbrook loves to throw this kind of pass. And with DeAndre and Dwight, it could be easy 2 points for either the 2. So I'm expecting a different Lakers once the real games starts this 19th.

I think Dwight is really undervalued by the league, yes, he is no longer in his prime, but the most important thing he can provide is the intimidation and the psyche war, specially against big men.

It was so evident during their championship run 2 years ago, he was very instrumental to make Jokic very uncomfortable in their playoff series. And as you have said, Rondo and James alley oop pass and then totally destroying the ring. He will still be a big factor in Lakers if they are going to make it to the finals this year.

The best for them is to reach the playoffs first and preseason was more like a warm up I guess for every team much more for the Lakers team imo. I think it's not only Dwight to look out for since Jordan is a massive feat too for the front court as well as Davis, they have the best versatile team to be honest and most are expecting them to get that ring.

We all know how dangerous Thompson is, he can shoot a cold-blooded 3s, and many times he helps the warriors to win in a series, even if they are already down 1-3 in the series. however, the main concern of his "fan" is, if he could still be the same Klay that is one of the best 3 point shooters in the NBA and a decent defender as well.
