The young Grizz showed their grit during the last playoffs, I expect them to be better in the next season as they have a big man with playoffs experience and a champion as well.

Together with Adams, Memphis can try to work it out using these twin towers. Knowing Gasol, he can play as power forward and even set up good plays for Morant, giving this young super star a much easier job.

Breaking news: Lakers are trying to sign wilt Chamberlin to a 3 year vet minimum deal.  If they can't land wilt they are going to look to see if Dr. J is available to give them a driving presence in the paint.  Let's see how this unfolds.

I'm not expecting much on this Lakers bench. They are deep though compare to other teams but nothing special to me in terms of performance.

Just for training purposes maybe? Or they have better voices when cheering from the bench. I'm worried if they can still go small ball if ever they need more speed against a fast pace team like GSW. Westbrook, THT, Monk, Rondo, Bazemore, and Nunn. These are their speed type guys but I think they will focus on WB and THT more.

The new center of the Grizzlies is Steven Adams, so Gasol will play with him as Jonas Valančiūnas was traded for Adams.

I was actually expecting a waive as soon as the deal is done. Looking at the current Grizzlies young centers, it doesn't look like they needed him. He'll most likely warm the bench.

He is expected not to play and will be waived by Memphis. We might not see him again wearing an NBA jersey as he's now also entering the retirement period.

As pointed above, he likely wants to stay in Spain with his family. His future basketball plans aren't clear yet. Maybe personal reasons as he can still play.

His brother Pau seems have retired already, I don't see him anymore active in the NBA. But anyway, even if they will both retire, they are have already fulfilled their main goal which is to win a championship, and not only that, both big men earn a decent amount of salary during their prime.

I think its the right decision for him to go back and play in his native country if no teams are going to pick him up. He has been in the NBA with his brothers for many years, maybe it's time for him to retire.

He will contribute a lot to Spain, not just by playing but he could be a mentor as well.

Well, he is 36 years old but still, I like his positionings. And as a center, positioning is important. You can play as a center even after you have aged, that's because positions like point guards need to be quite fast and agile and have better dribbling skills which is not the case for centers. Height is a big advantage for the centers and Gasol has got that. Let’s hope Gasol does good this season with Lakers with whatever minutes he gets on the pitch.
