They might trade him, or like Ben he will get deducted sums of money for not participating in the Nets game. Kyrie still owns the Nets for singing a contract, and the Nets deserves something in return for Kyrie's services.
He also has a card for that. "I will retire if they trade me." He is playing a blackmail game, very clever, usually, it's the company or organization that blackmail their employees, in this case, it's different as Kyrie knows how to play the dirty game, no debt of gratitude or something, it's all straight-up business for him, whether in a good or bad way. True, and with his kind of stature as a NBA superstar and supposedly have a good morales with all his philanthropic foundation, one must question his personality as it is very contradictory. Anyway, let's see how it pan out, the Nets said that they are not offering him anymore max contract so let's see who will be the winner in the end in this drama.

In other news knicks looking solid. Got good depth this year hopefully they can stay healthy. Got that Christmas game against the Hawks circled. Should be an interesting game knowing how last season ended. I'm sure Randle will be up for that one. Think the Knicks can squeeze a couple more wins than they did last year with this squad (pending kemba can stay off the injury report too often) it's like the Knicks are a graveyard of great guards with past knee issues.
I agree, who wouldn't forget the Knicks last year? They have pulled a string of victories, 8 or 9 and they've always been the underdogs. That's why betting on Knicks is really very good strategy last season as they always overcome the odds. And now it seems that they are more complete right now, and hopefully DRose and Julius Randle can lead the team again in a tough Eastern Conference.

Taj is alright but he has limitations. Mitch, rj or IQ have to really step up for them to get far. The vets are the vets they need someone else to be the x factor. (Desperate knick fan here )

It's funny. I thought earlier that the Nets and Lakers to be the main contenders for the title this season. However, both teams have some problems at the moment. The Lakers don't look like favorites after a terrible performance during preseason. Regarding the Nets, I doubt that Durant and Harden will be able to reach the final series if Irving doesn't change his mind about vaccination.
Don't take it seriously for now. It's just a pre-season. We can form speculation once we see the progress to at least half the season. Regarding Nets won't be able to reach the Finals, who's the other contender in the East that Nets won't stand a chance to win? Heat? Bucks? Bulls? Celtics? Sixers? We can fairly say that the Nets can handle all teams in the East even without the presence of the drama king Kyrie Irving. I think Lakers fans are in doubt because it's different than their pre-season when they won a championship. Different in a lot of ways. They are now playing against the Kings and they scored 71 at halftime which should be checked by Coach Frank Vogel. There's a hint of chemistry now and the pre-season helped a lot to tweak most of their bad plays especially on Westbrook's side. They will still become the favorites once they show a good start at the regular season. With a lot of superstars in their roster it will be easy to grab the fans back and watch them dominate.

Lebron scored 30 points already, but not much help from the bench.

Look at his numbers in this game, it's not the usual stats he is getting in his previous teams. This is odd, 5 assists and 3 rebounds, it used to be double-digit, so will this improve in the coming regular season?

Its understandable with the Lakers since they are a completely different team right now with most of the players came from trades but in Nets, they didn't do that much trades this off-season so its like they are the same team as last year and yet they are struggling. Anyway, this is just a pre-season and many don't want to push their all-star players too hard for it. Lets wait if what will the Nets do with Kyrie . Will they trade him or let him do what he wants to do - not to get vaccinated in exchange for money and games. With regards to the Lakers, give them some time and lets not focus on pre-season that much . What if they have some techniques that they are hiding right now and they will just release it at the start of the regular season. Lets just wait.

The game between Nets vs Timberwolves show on how James Harden matured as a player. He definitely knows his role in the game as he was able to dish out 14 assists. Since he knows that Durant will be able to dominate the playing field, he acted as a support for his teammates, which he made them better. I am looking forward to see other games of Nets and on how they are managing their chemistry.
Unfortunately, Lakers have yet to formalize their team chemistry with each other. Like what I previously mentioned, their individual players are skilled (most are all-stars) but as a team, they have to work on their chemistry and ball movement more.

For the performance he show last season we can definitely say that he's matured enough to know on when to adjust he's role since he's showing that he is a good team player when he's on nets. Provably he will do the same as he want to make to cooperate with durant and get into the finals next season. But don't know what will happen to them as kyrie is out of the team for a while so let see if this is a blessing or not since maybe they can create good rotation with less stars on their rooster.

He has done this in the last season, he no longer the dominant ball hog who chooses to score more. He has settled his role with the Nets, KD is the alpha and him and Kyrie(?), even though superstars in their own right, should somewhat just be in the background and let KD do his thing. Unfortunately, he got injured when they have their series against the Bucks. Unfortunately, Lakers have yet to formalize their team chemistry with each other. Like what I previously mentioned, their individual players are skilled (most are all-stars) but as a team, they have to work on their chemistry and ball movement more.
Just give them sometime, what's scary though is that once this experience players blend, we don't know how dominant they can be. Can they be a 70-10 team this season?

^^ Only two teams that I saw that happen, The Bulls 1995-1996 season (not sure if some of you have been born already) and then the Warriors 2015-2016.
Those two teams are great, they've been playing for years before they dominate the league.
So I'm not sure if Lakers with their current line up can accomplished it within one season. Not saying that they are not that good, but with the level of competition right now, it's going to be very difficult.

So give them some time to adjust and get to the next level. Taj is more of a defensive player now, not longer an offensive weapon but can still score if needed. Specially those mid range jumper. Julius hopefully can continue his run and play like an MVP. I mean consistency is the key here. They just come to life after the all star break, just image if they sustain that run and started hot.

Kid has a little more to go to become an x factor type for a team. He has the killer instinct just needs to hone that in a little.

Yes, that's true, if he will continue with this poor contribution, then there's no reason to celebrate Westbrook's addition to the LA Lakers. He should be a triple-double guy, or at least a double-double guy so he's a big help for the Lakers. Their execution is not yet well polish, I hope we will not see this on the regular season again. Anyway, by October 19, we will see the first 2 games in the regular season. Nets vs Bucks GSW vs LAL ( for bettors, LA is the favorites here by 5 points).

The hope is still there but the chances are not that high since the other teams are improving as well especially those who have young players who are improving and expanding their skills to play all around. Where they can shoot outside as well depends where the team needs them. As for the new Lakers team, they aren't bad they just need a few games before they can dominate the NBA league again if they can stay healthy throughout the game.

We can't make a judgement yet as the regular season has not started yet, if our basis is the preseason then I would say that the Lakers are so bad as they have not won a single game in the preseason. We are just hype because they have Westbrook who is a triple-double machine, but based on what he showed so far, we did not see the old Westbrook yet.

It's undeniable that Lakers still have those avid fans who believes that they can dominate this league, given all those reasons, but the caliber of those stars inside Lakers roster got higher approval. Not talking about haters, but those people who value those stars, especially LeBron, if they will continue being healthy and will not suffer to any major injuries. The fate of this team still have a good possibility to reach the finals. Personally, I see eagerness taking your pride to prove that you still got it and you can still win a title.

While there are others who are seeing Lakers negatively, I'm the one who is thinking like "This is only pre-season and I believe that the Lakers are hiding something in their sleeves that will help them in the regular season". Well if you will see their past resumes, most of them are all stars and most of them are the go-to guy when they are at their primes in their past teams. That isn't the case right now. They are old enough to get outsped by other young players. I'm not saying though that they are not a strong team but we are expecting too much from them and we are disregarding their ages and their chemistry as well. They are old and they also have limitations as well. We are expecting that they will build a chemistry as they play for a longer time but even though it will be built, I don't think that they are that dominant that to the point that they will be at the top in Western Conference though we might see them in playoffs. Earlier this off-season we are expecting Nets Vs. Lakers in NBA Finals but now that the Lakers are playing this way, do you think that these 2 teams will meet at the NBA Finals still??

It's hard to say that they will reach the Western Conference Finals at this point but a lot of things could happen in the regular season and in the playoffs. I don't think any team in the West fear them anymore and I could see an early exit because of that. Don't hate me hehehe.
