Well, hopefully, that decision will help the future of both teams. But honestly, I'm more interested on the other players like a superstar players that are in the trading block, is there any news about the trade of Simmons?
The last news or at least rumors is the Simmons-Harden trade but I hope this will not happen or it will be a disaster for the Nets or at least for both teams. I really think that it would only remain as a rumor until the trade deadline, but if ever Harden-Simmons will happen and be traded then the Nets surely added another headache to their team along with Simmons drama and it will be their worst given that KD isn't available and they also have Irving situation who will only play on road games. Anyways, I've read that Steve Nash has already talked with Harden and closed the issue. Here it is: "I’ve talked to James; he wants to be here,” Nash said. “He wants to be here long-term as well, so I don’t think anything’s changed other than noise from the outside. James wants to be here, we’re building with James and we think we have the best chance to win with James.

Nets are really nothing when some of their stars don't play. We witnessed this last night as Nets lost to Celtics by 126-91 home. This was a really embarrasing loss by a huge point difference. Celtics have left Nets behind after this result in the standings. Nets need their stars so bad now to start climbing again. Their condition is really risky and I wouldn't like to see them staying out of the playoffs this season. This would be a big disappointment for a team like this.
they have a big problem, they are in a losing streak and, to be honest, I don't know if they can break it anytime soon as without Durant and some of the superstars playing not 100%, that wouldn't help them to win. In this game, no big 3, so their chance is very low. They can't keep this up forever, they need to qualify to the playoffs. Right, it was indeed a disappointment that they've lost against Celtics. Though their loss was expected because none of their big 3 was present during the said game but a 35 points difference? That is huge! Steve should pressure his players more because Harden can't play yet especially Durant and Irving is on/off. They really need to break their lose streak and I'm still hopeful that they can play in the playoffs.

Not sure if. this is logical for the Sixers though, I mean with Joel everything looks good and the team are jelling. Maybe an addition of Harden won't bring any good for the Sixers.
So it's better for Harden to stay with the Nets, and see how it goes for them and hopefully they can make it to the playoffs and have him and Durant healthy and make one more run for the championship.
I agree. A playmaker will be suitable for the 76ers who can rotate the ball and look for players that are open. I can't think of any player who are open on the trading line. James Harden, Embiid duo is not something I can be excited about and Nets will surely keep him for they are having problems with KD injured and Kyrie just playing road games. There are two names that are on the spotlight now. Kings - Harrison Barnes Kings reportedly set asking price for Barnes The Sacramento Kings parted with Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield and Tristan Thompson yesterday and are willing to do likewise with veteran Harrison Barnes, per Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix. However, Mannix reports the Kings only want players that will help them win now in deals for Barnes and are not interested in “future-based offers.” and Celtics - Dennis Schroder. Boston Celtics backup point guard Dennis Schroder has seen his name in trade chatter lately and, per Keith Smith of Sportrac, the reason for that is simple. Boston is comfortable with Josh Richardson taking on backup playmaking duties as well as the Celtics may look to the buyout market for guard help once the trade deadline passes. https://www.nba.com/news/2022-nba-trade-deadline-buzz-feb-9

There's no way harden will leave the nets this season, all this trade discussion with Phil, you don't think the stars have the power? Are the nets really not even going to test put the big 3 of Brooklyn in a playoff run for a ring? Are they really going to do this to KD? He wants harden there, and why would they want to do this for Ben Simmons?
I don't even think Ben Simmons wants to play basketball anymore, he's just gotten engaged to the smokin' Maya Jama, he has the cash, he can't shoot, is an Aussie and seems like no drive to play unless it's the perfect spot. Yes I have read rumours James is unhappy living in Brooklyn, but ain't nobody wanna move to phili either. Just rumours and doubt highly the trade will happen. But this will most likely be 76s last ditch effort to get a real star so are pushing all the news, who else is their options? Westbrook? Lakers would trade everyone except lebron and ad for Ben but that's never going to happen. Westbrook was L O L funny coming to the 2 other stars in ln games to Milwaukee

^^ Maybe fire the coach or trade Westbrook, I don't think there is an adjustment that they can make at this point. We already seen how bad the team chemistry is. And even if Davis is back and Lebron, they are still struggling to get a win against stronger team. A indication that they might not make the playoffs or not win on the first round. It’s pretty crazy that at this point in time in the season it’s that the Lakers are 3 games under five hundred. I saw a post on I think it was instagram showing Russell Westbrook rubbing Lebron and Anthony Davis heads as to console them and neither of them were having any of it lol. Boy are they sure wishing they had signed Demar DeRozan and not him. Yeah, looks like it's a sign that Westbrook will be leaving. If there's someone that will be traded, it should be Westbrook as the Lakers struggle when they traded their role players for Westbrook, they wish they can undo their decision. Demar Derozan could also be a good fit for the Laker system. Russ on the other hand is not. He couldn't even sustain his role as the 3rd scoring option. The Lakers should've traded Russ for Buddy Hield. I don't know who will be the piece the Lakers are looking to trade for Russ. I am quite sure he'll get traded eventually.

Phoenix Suns are really like unstoppable in this season. They are even better than their performance in last season now. They seem to be very eager about winning the title at least for once. They were so close to making it last season but they stumbled against Milwaukee Bucks in the finals. But it was still a huge achievement for them and a good signal for the future. And it is really invaluable to see them this determined right after a solid season like that. Let's see if they will make it this time.

I don't have the confidence that they will be able to keep up when it comes to the playoffs. Booker is becoming a star, but he's not quite there yet and Chris Paul is aging and injury prone. I think their playoff success last year was mostly due to facing injured teams, but Ayton did make the difference. If Ayton can stay healthy and play like he did last postseason, they have a decent shot at getting to the Western Finals. I think of the Suns a bit like the Jazz right now. They're both great teams, but they lack that one thing that will be able to carry them through a series with a healthy Warriors or Lakers team. I think it's going to come down to the Bucks/Bulls/Nets in the East and the Lakers/Warriors in the west. If everyone was healthy...

Precisely! until the deadline ended everything will remain as rumors. I value a coach words, if Coach Nash has that statement for sure the Nets management will value that, unless they have other things in mind, but for now the team needs to break their losing streak while rumors of trades still open. It's getting nearer to the next round and the chance of making into playoff is getting slim. Without KD's presence, they are really struggling.

As far as I know, Steve Nash put down that rumor, but who wouldn't know? Did James Harden requested to be traded or something and tells it to the media? I know that they are losing because of the injury from Durant but I doubt that it will be just the reason to ask for a trade right now. He himself is also injured with his hamstring. But we will have to wait, the trade deadline is just hours from now.

So it's better for Harden to stay with the Nets, and see how it goes for them and hopefully they can make it to the playoffs and have him and Durant healthy and make one more run for the championship. First of all Harden has played with other big men before, its not like this is going to be a one time thing that he would have to learn, he loves to lob it up as well which Embiid doesn't get enough if you ask me. Secondly these are very high level elite basketball players, even the worst NBA player is 100x better than a regular player. Brain Scab played against 3 D1 level college players and he destroyed them and that is white mamba we are talking about, Harden is also another 100x level better than him as well so imagine the talent we are talking about. I am 100% sure that if that trade ever goes through, they will be able to work things out, as long as their characters do not clash, as long as they end up being happy playing together then I am 100% certain that dude would be able to play and learn with each other out of love for the game they both have.

James Harden is really an unlucky player. He is giving his best in most of their games at whatever team he plays. But he still hasn't become the champion with any team so far. All of his efforts have just been in vain. And there are some rumours like Harden could leave Nets too at the end of this season if they don't make it to the championship. And considering the latest performance of the team, it seems unlikely to me that they can make it. But it is still early to be sure of anything too. When KD and Harden return, we will see what they will do.

He probably lacks something in team leadership. I think he becomes too selfish sometimes and just play because he's getting paid for it. Nine losses in a row is probably the least they expected when the Nets brought them together including Irving. I still think they will make it to the payoffs and face one of the top 3 teams.

Nope he's not lacking with leadership skills since we see how harden adjust to his current line up and can able to provide quality number to help up his team maybe he's not really lucky to have good team mates that's why they lose their confidence towards playing especially by now they are losing to much on this series. It's bad decision for Nets to let harden leave since they are losing to much power if he departs. Maybe its time for them to think trading kyrie since his attitude can contribute toxicity on their locker room.

Playoffs are possible for them but yes, the question about being "success" is in jeopardy. They will also have a hard challenge at the end of the season starting from competing in a play-in tournament on which there's a possibility that they might not make it. And if successful to take a playoffs spot, they will surely be matched either against the dominant Phoenix Suns or Golden State Warriors. That's already a heavy challenge for them entering the playoffs. And for let's say there's a surprising event happened that they established a long winning streak later on to their remaining games this season, and ended up on 6th, still, a tough team they will face on the 1st round. I saw a news on the internet, it said: The Lakers have accepted that the Russell Westbrook experiment was a failure Westbrook should be traded with a good player. Maybe it's also a test that they are previously sitting Westbrook at the final minutes when he is off-night throughout the game. I wonder what's the Lakers' conclusion about it.

He has a pretty high assist per game with the Nets which is a good sign he's trying but I'm also counting his days with the Rockets as coderben said "at whatever team he plays". Another thing is that leadership goes beyond what we see on the court. Maybe he needs to impose himself more like what MJ and Kobe did in their respective teams. I think Lebron is pretty vocal too. ... Honestly, I think they are unlikely to achieve any success in the playoffs as Irving will probably continue to miss all home games, including important games during the playoffs.
Their chances making it to the next round doesn't look great so I just consider them as a dark horse for now. Who knows what could really happen once KD and Harden are back to full health.

Likewise. Even there are lots of rumors about it, I also think that James Harden will finish the season in the Brooklyn Nets jersey. We can't conclude it yet but I don't see the sense of trading James Harden in the mid-season where they should suppose to be complete. Brooklyn Nets shouldn't be worried since they are losing games because their key players weren't there. Different, as an example, to Lakers, where they are losing games even the lineup is complete.

Yeah, I think Harden will finished this season as Nets. It was really the Sixers who initiated the contact with the Nets but the management says no. So I guess that rumor will not become a reality up to this season. There's some late movement on the Jazz team, one of their heart and soul, Joe Ingles has been traded to Portland.

^^ Even Joe himself said in a tweet that it hurts him to be traded as he has call Utah his home for the last 8 years. But no one is untouchable in this league, if the management feels you are a liability then you are going to be traded. And we could say that he is one of the fan favorites in Utah, and for sure they are going to miss him. https://twitter.com/Joeingles7/status/1491566855433056258

The trade deadline are usually crazy times for real and you've gotta expect the unexpected, I didn't even know LeVert was traded to Cavaliers until I was watching them an hour or two ago.
I'll be very surprised if James Harden gets traded from the Nets this season to tbh, and I'm not sure any team would be so willing take a gamble on Ben Simons who hasn't been playing for a long time for their end of the season/playoff runs, and given the situation he's currently at with the 76ers.
