I’m glad to see that DeMarcus Cousins is getting a contract with the Denver Nuggets for the rest of the season. Sacramento did him dirty and it’s been nothing but injuries and missed opportunities since then. It appears he’s finally gotten himself into a position where he can rebuild his game and show the league what he is capable of. He may never put up the monster numbers he did in Sacramento ever again, but he’s certainly got a couple years left where he could be a menace off the bench for a contender.
Yeah, I think he deserve to be in the NBA because he can still contribute to any team. Just sad though that when he join the Warriors, they didn't win the championship and then the same with Lakers, he was late if my memory serves me right. He will be a good compliment for the Nuggets, they need another big man if Jokic are going to rest. So it's a win-win for the Nuggets and Cousins. And this is another contending team, specially if either Murray or Porter Jr can surface after the all star.

The dude was a monster back then and he can still be a good asset for the Denver Nuggets especially to preserve Jokic's health and to give him more rest. We will see how effective he is with the team after the All-star game where the teams double their effort to preserve their spot in the playoff or to catch up and snatch it from others. Denver Nuggets' last game is a crucial win and Cousins has just shown them how he can handle situations like that even you gonna play against a top contender team, you're not gonna play soft.

Last year, we've seen a lot of team turning around after the all star break, like New York Knicks, Atlanta Hawks and Washington Wizards. So we might want to watch out the Nuggets with the addition of Cousins to be the back up of Jokic. I'm seeing that there could be games that he can score 15-20 points and grab 10 rebounds. And he could be a perfect fit for the Denver team.

We don't know yet if what they are planning after signing Cousin but this guy is not just a backup but a good provider when giving a good minutes inside the court. If it's not because of his injuries, he might have better career ahead, but boogieman's injuries' keep coming back and that's hurting his career.

They aren't going to play jokic and cousins on the floor both with starter minutes. That would be a spacing disaster. Cousins will probably play 15 minutes or so as a change of pace from jokic and when they need someone to clog the middle. Not to mention the dude hasn't played nba pace for awhile. He isn't going to just plug in and have the stamina of a starter.

He will surely be given minutes in Denver Nuggets as Jokic would always need his rest. Last game he recorded 13 minutes against the Warriors and the Nuggets won it. What I would like to see is if they can put them on the floor at the same time and can manage to do good plays together. Cousins at 31 years old can do more but it was being neglected because most coaches got used to just seeing him with higher minutes on the bench which I think is not the same Cousins anymore.

I agree, he doesn't have that stamina anymore and his body, after those many injuries, is no longer fit in my opinion to be a starter. He can give some minutes for Jokic when it's needed to have decent rest, but let them play together will slow the run and it can be abused by their opponents knowing that in a past pace run, Cousins might be a liability. We can't conclude as we don't know what exactly the plan of the coach for him, let's hope for the best for both him and the Nuggets.

I do agree that both of them should not be put together but with lesser minutes for Cousins I don't think they can maximize where he is good at. Maybe when the Nuggets are playing against teams that relies in big men like Cavaliers, they could put him in for a longer period of time. https://sports.yahoo.com/joel-embiid-did-a-lot-of-chasing-trying-to-get-ben-simmons-to-stay-philadelphia-76ers-brooklyn-nets-trade-044045340.html“I did a lot of chasing around trying to get him back and try to make him feel comfortable again,” Embiid told ESPN’s Malika Andrews on Tuesday of his former teammate. “It was tough.
“I didn’t care anymore.” He was exhausted chasing him. The trade is done now so he can be relieved that something that heavy was put to rest. Talking about it should also stop to make the media stop from dissecting the issue.

After leaving the All-Star event behind, I'm focused on the regular season games again. And the most attracting one for me is Nets - Celtics now. It is tomorrow night and Celtics are the favourite according to bookmakers. And I will give them that as Celtics' recent performance has been much more impressive than Nets. Because Nets are in a phase of making some changes in the team. Until the players have a good agreement with each other, I won't be believing them much. And especially until Durant bounces back. For this reason, I think Celtics will be the winner.

Yeah and add to that the number of injured players for both teams. For the Celtics, almost everyone is healthy except Marcus Smart. For the Nets, Durant and Irving are still out while Simmons looks to be still out of playing condition. Good thing the other two signings were ready and fit to play. Which team will you bet on? Will you bet on handicap? Celtics -5.5 @2 looks good enough.

That 2.0 odds for just a negative 5.5 is a juicy offer since Celtics beat Nets with same roster line up with 35 points in there recent match. I believe they can beat Nets with more than 10 points since there current roster is pretty weak without Durant and other star player. Griffin is not performing good for bench score and they are only relying to patty mills and seth curry for score which both have an inconsistent performance.

Agree with you, we've seen the struggle of the Nest without Durant, so it's hard to believe in them without seeing them improve their games. I guess they'll still lose and against the Celtics which is one of the hottest team now, Celtics will certainly dominate.

You can add Drummond to the equation, but nevertheless, with Celtics finding their groove, I think they can win in double digits against the struggling Nets. Griffin is obviously way past his prime now, maybe some games that he can shoot 3's but it's not enough for them to collect win without Kevin Durant or Ben Simmons.

From the past performances of Celtics, we have seen them dominate, They already getting the rhythm and we are witnessing good blends within the team, with Tatum leading them the chance of covering that handicap is very possible. Still doubting the Nets if the addition of Seth and Drummond will give them the lift that they need to win, Good luck!

Is it me or this is one of the worst dunk contest I ever watched? I think the one that is best for me is the 2016 All star dunk contest, I think it's better to have a Aaron Gordon vs Zach LaVine rematch I would want to see those two competing to dunk contest again, I hope we would have a good one next year.
I totally agree. This year's dunk contest was awful. If any of the 2016 dunks had been made this year, they would have won unopposed There are many good dunks, but they often fail to make creative dunks. I think we can't see different things like before because there are many moves that can be done. Actually, the players are quite athletic and talented Actually not only the dunk contest but also the Clorox Clutch Challenge, Barnes and Maxley should win an MVP in Shaqtin' a Fool have you seen how many failed shots he did with a baby hook... a baby hook with no one defending and him near the ring... I'm not really sure if he is unlucky but how many attempts was that?

SKills challenge has never been fun to watch at least for me, but for the Dunk contest, man, we are all anticipating a good dunk contest and yet we were just disappointed because it seems like they don't give enough effort to prepare for it to entertain the fans.

Yeah I find it boring as well. We have all seen those common dunks, but what else an NBA player can do when they don't really specialized in being creative on their dunks, they are trained to win games not to win a dunk contest. So, If there are good dunkers in the NBA, then lucky if they want to participate in the dunk contest If they won't then this is the kind of outcome we are expected to see. It is already given, not every year we see a Vince Carter like or Aaron Gordon and Zach Lavine like NBA dunkers.

It is already given, not every year we see a Vince Carter like or Aaron Gordon and Zach Lavine like NBA dunkers. Yup I think anyone who has followed the NBA for years knows that this year's NBA slam dunk is kinda soft. No highlights dunks that we can remember for years. And speaking of Vince's winning the slam dunk in 2000, just watch it a couple of minutes ago. Yeah, it was really huge that time, we haven't seen that kind of dunks before.

And speaking of Vince's winning the slam dunk in 2000, just watch it a couple of minutes ago. Yeah, it was really huge that time, we haven't seen that kind of dunks before. That dunk that gave him a win is one of the standards of the fans, so it's not surprising that they are disappointed with what they sew in the slam dunk contest. Well, that's it, it's over, let's hope that next year will be better so fans will forget this boring slam dunk contest.

I’m curious if there’s been any official word if Ben Simmons will play for the Nets tomorrow. I haven’t heard anything official but remain hopeful we’ll finally see him touch a basketball this year. The game is being televised on cable so you’d think Ben would want to show up and let people know he hasn’t been letting himself go like Zion. The real excitement will come when Durant is off the injured list and back in rotation. I think Ben Simmons while not the shooter Harden is, will create some serious mismatches and be a monster on defense. Him and Durant together will be hard to defend considering how unique each player’s skill set is.
