Personally, I don't think Leonard's career will end up like Westbrook's, because judging by his stats (https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/l/leonaka01.html), the consistency is still present. So even if he gets traded or his contract expires, I'm pretty sure there are still teams that would be willing to give him a good contract.
What do you mean end up like WB? Are you referring to his new contract with the Clippers? I thought it was a personal decision to remain with the team and take a huge pay cut since the management are restricted to offer more. I'm pretty sure other teams would be willing to give him a higher amount if he wanted out.

Kawhi has always been one of the biggest "what ifs" in the history of NBA, of course there are a lot more as well and this isn't at the top for sure but he is a big one. This dude won 2 fmvp's and is not even considered remotely anywhere the top, not even in any top 10 topics ever, I am not saying that he is not in it, I am saying he is not even considered to be in it at all, ever.

How many other 2 time finals mvp's can you name that people wouldn't even consider a small slight chance of them being in top 10? Nobody. That dude spent 2 years as bringing championship to his team, and all rest of his career as spending time resting his injury. That's really not normal and should be considered a bit weird but unlucky at the same time.

I think he could've made to the discussion amongst the top 10 if he wasn't that frequently injured, what I mean is that the talent and consistency are already there and we can say as well that he was born to be a star in this league but it's just his injuries are far more consistent compared to his play time and that is the reason why he is very limited.
And if those things weren't a problem, he would definitely be among the discussion and gave some difficulties against the top teams in this league.

Have you forgotten about Paul George's injury? I think his injuries were far worse than Leonard's, but look where he is now. He is still playing like a true star.

Who could forget that? It's one of the worst injuries, and at one point, I thought PG wouldn't be able to come back anymore. But he did well; he was able to come back and perform like his usual self, which is in contrast to the case of Derrick Rose. However, I'm no expert. Although Leonard's injury doesn't look as severe, I still consider it very serious since it was an ankle injury, and that area is quite sensitive. Once a player has a history of injury, it becomes easier to reinjure again.

Many was been devastated before when they see that and think that PG cannot go back to his form after that gruesome injury. But he surpass that supposed to be career ending injury and he play very well just like before.
But eventhough its not worse as what PG got still its still an injury and not everyone has the same level of recovery. In case Rose I guess he is not lucky and he always get hunted by multiple injuries which totally destroy his career

The king of "Load Management".

That's what some people call him right now, and that's true. Ever since he went to the Clippers after winning a title with the Raptors, he's been doing this load management sh*t that ruins the whole team. What's worse is that, he only says that he will not play just minutes or hours before the game even starts. I mean like WTF!!. You're being paid, and you will choose whether you will play or not even though you can play?

Anyway with regards to him being considered in the top 10, he's easily on the top 10 on the list of current active players right now "IF" he's healthy. We already saw how good he is back when he was in the Raptors, and he won a title there. I mean with his skills on both offense, and defense, I can put him in the top 10 conversation no doubts. It's just that injuries really ruin one's career, and that includes him. We know his potential, and how good he is.

2 Finals MVP's don't matter if you play like that. Always getting injured, can't be a leader, always silent, and at the same time, don't know how to laugh Cheesy. Kidding aside, Kawhi no doubt is a top 10 player, and there was a time where even Lebron is afraid of him when Kawhi is in the court because of how good he is defensively. I already said the problem with him, and I hope there will be a cure with that one.

Dude is a competitor his body obviously can't handle the full rigors of an 82 game season.  No reason to go hard in November and December only to have your season cut short when it matters most.  Not that I'm an advocate to sit but having kawhi for the backend of your season versus the front end is what we are more likely to see every year going forward.

The NBA schedule is being released today if anyone was dying to get their favorite games circled on the calendar. I know I’m personally looking forward to Phoenix’s home opener against the Los Angeles Lakers, as it will be the first time LeBron James and Kevin Durant have faced off in several years. Will surely be a great game to watch for fans.

You can't blame him; he saw an opportunity overseas, so he grabbed that opportunity. However, with the recent news that his salary will be cut a bit, I guess he might be interested in playing with the NBA again. Let's hope that there's a team that would pick him up.

He is already 37 years old, not young anymore, but he can still play. With his experience and confidence, I'm sure he will be a big help. All we can do now is wait for the developments. Let's follow Howard's journey; who knows, he might end up with the Lakers again.

I surely don't know if there is a team that would likely accept him, at 1st I thought that the Golden State Warriors would acquire him back as the rumors go but for sure Dwight is not that in his prime anymore and I am against getting another old player because for sure they got Chris Paul in their team they can not afford in getting a 37 years old player that is about to deplete on his prime,

Here we go again with this guy and not so long ago we saw him when he wanted to leave the team he would do some funny thing for them to finally consider how to trade him as quickly as possible. remember when leaves his body to consume more than he needs and gains a huge amount of weight which makes him fat. The Houston Rockets became so frustrated and quickly released him because they thought there would be no chance for him to contribute good things to the team and suddenly after that, he retained his old self again. Now that he's doing his same old trick again the 76ers don't care about it anymore.

James Harden is getting desperate, he has asked a team that could likely help him get a championship and I think the 76ers have neatly complied but surely that is all the players they could get in giving Harden what he wants, and that was on the last season, but because the result is something that he doesn't want a likely getting out of the 76ers was all I am hearing, for sure the 76ers doesn't want to hear this kind of thing and they likely want to ban James Harden in whatever team he wants to play in, that is a bummer to hear for sure,

I read that the Suns would be playing the Lakers in the Phoenix home opener. The schedule should also have been published 2 hours ago, but I haven’t seen it yet either so who knows…

I’m curious about what’s going on in Philadelphia. Now Joel Embiid is scrubbing Philadelphia from his location on his social media profiles…

By the way, guys, what do you think about this change in the upcoming season? Will the regular season be more interesting for players and fans because of this in-season tournament or not?

Since it will be the first time to see such a format in the NBA season, we don't know what to expect.

However, from my point of view, since the in-season tournament requires consistent winning, we should expect early season games where teams will be serious right away and not take the game lightly different from what we see in the usual games in the early season.

If it's interesting or not overall, can only find it out later on. For me though, should be entertaining as "it's NBA".

I’m not sure I understand the point of the in-season tournament but I did just see a suggestion that the winner of the tournament get an automatic playoff berth. That’s interesting…

I’m more 76ers updates from Philadelphia, James Harden is now saying he’s open to play for a different team than just the Clippers. He wants out…

It wouldn't make any sense to me.  Basketball is just set up / established in a different manner that soccer/football where I know they do things like this, but I don't see it making any sense here.

Yeah I saw that James Harden drama.  That guy is always causing issues seemingly wherever he is.  He can't seem to ever get along w/people.

Those dirty moves against him did really a lot to his career and you're right that it could have been better without it.

Yet, he still got the titles and he's still doing good as of now, at least IMO.

I could think of Westbrook just as him, with the little contract that he had accepted. Yes, his plays won't change but the look and view on him by everyone will surely changed.

Well, we can't turn back time; let's just accept what happened to him in the past. What matters is he is still in the NBA and still playing.
Yup, he's consistent and that's visible to everyone and that's why he still got a better contract.

Have you forgotten about Paul George's injury? I think his injuries were far worse than Leonard's, but look where he is now. He is still playing like a true star.
Definitely, there's always healing on these injuries as long as they'll be given enough time for recovery. But the most that have been injured badly, can't go back in shape.

And much worse that they got out of the league and lost their potential extended contracts.

Me either. I thought that will be the end of his basketball career. But, he is actually stronger than players with minor injuries. His was broken and others have ligaments torn, if you compare it broken is worst, and yet last season he played again like a superstar.
About Leonard, I think his Uncle (his agent) is just protecting him too much. Sure his +/- when he is around or not is damn high or low but it's just too much that a team would really accept that kind of load management. These are players who have contracts to play for a season, I'd understand the resting time on the last 10 games but during back-to-back games is kind of unacceptable. Same issue with Kyrie.
Anyway, it looks like the Clippers don't mind about that.

About the In-Season Tournament that will happen. Let's read the FAQs to understand it more.
We got used to the traditional ways so it's best we learn what they are trying to achieve here.

I don't see the schedule on the official NBA site yet because it says "no data available." Anyway, if I understand correctly, the Lakers and Suns will meet in the in-season tournament. By the way, guys, what do you think about this change in the upcoming season? Will the regular season be more interesting for players and fans because of this in-season tournament or not?

I read that the Suns would be playing the Lakers in the Phoenix home opener. The schedule should also have been published 2 hours ago, but I haven’t seen it yet either so who knows…

I’m curious about what’s going on in Philadelphia. Now Joel Embiid is scrubbing Philadelphia from his location on his social media profiles…

Now that is confusing because the article that I've found is saying differently.

Quote
Opening night

~ The champs will get their rings before a rematch of the 2023 Western Conference finals, in which Denver swept the Lakers and left James and Anthony Davis agreeing that the Nuggets were probably the best team they had played against in their four years together.

~ As well as being Chris Paul's first meeting with Phoenix since it traded him to Golden State, the Suns-Warriors game will be Durant's first at Chase Center with fans in attendance. The arena opened after Durant left Golden State, and he has been injured for all of his visits since, except for a game on Feb. 13, 2021, in which no tickets were sold because of pandemic restrictions.
Source

As what was said above, the season will start on October 24 and will be having two games in the opening night which are the Lakers @ Nuggets and Phoenix @ Warriors game. While the Phoenix vs Lakers game will happen on the following day, October 25.

These games are indeed interesting enough to see, including the night opener of Phoenix vs Warriors because CP3 now is with the latter and he will be facing his old team with the same roster, not him included of course.

I’m not sure I understand the point of the in-season tournament but I did just see a suggestion that the winner of the tournament get an automatic playoff berth. That’s interesting…

The rules state that the winning team will only get a new trophy, and its players will get $500k each. However, an automatic playoff berth is a fun suggestion, although it seems unrealistic since it would break the concept of the regular season. Let's imagine that an underdog team like the Rockets somehow miraculously would win the in-season tournament and get an automatic playoff berth, even though they will likely finish the regular season in last place in the standings. I think that would be weird and unfair to the other teams.

It is too early for them to post it in their site and it might start on November 3, but it is still too early and there are still time to open a trade on whoever player they want, and upon this trade rumors that Pascal Siakam was acquired by the Golden State Warriors from the Toronto Raptors, that was quite something and that James Harden is said to be banned in all possible trade in every team, because the 76ers ain't letting him,

I read that the Suns would be playing the Lakers in the Phoenix home opener. The schedule should also have been published 2 hours ago, but I haven’t seen it yet either so who knows…

I haven't seen that aswell maybe it is surely not live or it is just a practice game for these two teams so maybe it will not be broadcast but if you ever get a link on the game maybe shared it here, surely many curious fans want to see it,

Well, because of the recent James Harden issue, this is like an orb effect and like what happen with the Brooklyn Nets after Kyrie Irving announce that he wants to be traded then Kevin Durant wants to be traded aswel and Philadelphia 76ers are the same, for sure he doesn't want to be left alone in the 76ers,

Yes, everything will be decided when these new rules already been applies for now. We are all new to what NBA is preparing, though we already
have that updates, but the actual implementation will be a witness on the day the season starts.

Let's hope for the best and for all the competing teams to bring all the best for their fans. I'm sure we will have that excitement.

Bettors will take this as a good way to analyze as teams will not take the game lightly, even in the early stage of the league.

The new rules are likely to bring more excitement, as they wouldn't have been created in the first place if they weren't intended to. Despite being the most popular basketball league in the world, the NBA's commissioner is still striving to maintain its interest by introducing new rules. I've recently read about these new rules, but they haven't fully sunk in yet. Perhaps I'll grasp them better once I watch the actual games.

For those who are curious, here's the rules

I’m more 76ers updates from Philadelphia, James Harden is now saying he’s open to play for a different team than just the Clippers. He wants out…
The question right now is, is there any team that wants him?

It seems like GM Morey will call Harden's bluff, and will not trade him. On the other hand, it's Harden's last year of his contract, and after that he will be a free agent. If Harden will not play this season with the Sixers (if he will not get traded), his value will decrease for sure, and other teams will give him a smaller contract instead of his actual value. It's because he played awful, or didn't play well, so Harden has no choice but to play, or his career will be affected.

Now I'm thinking that there will be a team that's interested to get him. I just hope for that team to not give good players, or just give role players plus draft picks because this is Harden's last year of contract, and that team might end up with nothing just like the Mavericks did with Kyrie, but the good thing is Kyrie signed with the team which is good. The team that will be getting him might end up with nothing if Harden choose to play with another team again since he's a free agent. Either way, I'm leaning to the fact that Harden will be forced to play with Embiid, and the Sixers.

Who wouldn't choose a player who has averaged a double-double for the past 2 seasons with the Nets? I'm confident that James Harden wouldn't challenge the management's decisions if he didn't believe that some teams would agree to the trade. He recognizes his value to a team, and any team he joins is likely to improve. The logic is straightforward: if a successful trade involving Ben Simmons occurred, it would be unwise to assume that James Harden won't also be traded.
