Bitcoin without Altcoin ?

If there is no any altcoin in the market, the price of bitcoin will surely increase multiple times as of the current price. Think about those people who store or buy bulk altcoins , what will happen if their money can't bought anything , just bitcoins ?

No. I guess altcoins nothing to do with the bitcoin ecosystem directly. But the developers and the coders of bitcoin definitely will get many ideas from different altcoins. The new innovate ideas of altcoins developments definitely will help bitcoins developers indirectly.

One or two complementary coins might be good, like doge, ltc, Dash, but there are waaaaay too many.  And bitcoin itself could exist just fine without any of the alternatives.  I think there definitely should be others.  When that confirmation time slowdown happened last year, all of the other coins could be sent much faster.

Yes, there are lot of unnecessary clones keep on coming every day. I guess these simply cloned coins has nothing to do or no contribution to bitcoin ecosystem in any ways other than the creator who must be aiming for bump and dump scenarios for his own profits.

This is crypto world and it is stronger every day, and i'm very pleased to see that we have ore then one coin. I hope in future we will have even more different projects, with new features..This way we won't have monopoly.

Maybe the price of bitcoin is really high if there is no altcoin in the market..  but if without altcoin we dont have a market too to trade.. if there no altcoin..thats why we have now a trading site because of altcoin..

Altcoin is part of bitcoin if there's no altcoin it will now support the bitcoin from its pump and dump. Meaning it will relatively go super high and super low. Altcoin part on it will never take its place. supporting bitcoin by altcoins is just like supporting your children to there growth. If there's no support by others it will not grow.

generally i don't think altcoins have any effect on bitcoin's developement. but it is possible that they offer some excellent feature that can be also added to bitcoin not that there is any right now.

i think the two different options bitcoin and altcoin, if there is no alt coin then there will be so many other trasection option. but we cannot say that bitcoin is impossible with out altcoin.

Yes without altcoins also bitcoin would have actually achieved this much higher level adoption by anyways. But all the altcoins have achieved their growth only because of bitcoins development. I too believe that altcoin would be highly possible to survive if only bitcoin is existing.

I think bitcoin is not depended on other altcoins as bitcoin itself is a powerful currency and other coins depends on it, whether the price of other coins increases or decreases bitcoin will remain what it is,
and bitcoin is a first introduced currency and flourished at that time when it was along.

Some people are exaggerate the influence of altcoins on bitcoin market. Most of existing altcoins has zero, literally zero impact on anything.
There are maybe 3 to 4 altcoins right now developed by serious teams of people for some purpose other than pump and dump scheme.

I don't really know if it's that much of an exaggeration though... If you go on exchange sites and see the volumes that the top coins are going for, it's pretty incredible to say the least.  Then if you combine the 3 or 4 top coins and that would easily go over 2K BTC or so...

So to say that altcoins don't effect the way the Bitcoin market is behaving is nonsense in my mind.  If those people who are in the altcoin market (only) and wanted to sell out into fiat, they would have to sell off the bitcoin value it represents anyways... so that indirectly affects the Bitcoin price (in a way).

my opinion if no altcoin then bitcoin unpredictable price, bitcoin has no comparison and the most important is bitcoin does not have a high price. because trafing bitcoin very limited without altcoin.

True, altocoins always trying to follow to bitcoin, also altcoin is exchanging to bitcoins so it's manipulate a price a bit. And also we know that without altcoin miners will lose a lot of profit for sure.

The center of all altcoins is bitcoin, they have no control in the price of bitcoin. If the exchange of bitcoin to USD moves a lot, then alt coins will move as well.

Bitcoin without altcoin is bitcoin. Altcoin without bitcoin is not altcoin because the main wallet or the main money of the altcoin traders is bitcoin so for me altcoin is not altcoin without bitcoin. Thats only my opinion. And altcoin trading for me is the way to earn more bitcoin because i have many friends that using it to grow their money there.

Also according to my point of view Bitcoin will survive even without any other cryptocurrency, but its price will grow with slow pace.
