Bitcoin without Altcoin ?

I think altcoin give a good affect to bitcoin. It's like, bitcoin can compared the price of bitcoin with the altcoin price and it's make bitcoin's price increase imo.

but what if without altcoins, so there is only bitcoin trading with local currency, and everyone did that trade. if it is not possible to make bitcoin price increase?

True. Just doing some speculations gives you some satoshis if you buy even just hundreds of it. What if it will be bought with millions a little movement affects it all and that will be a large profit.

If their are no altcoins bitcoin price wouldnt be balance, altcoin price is depending on bitcoin, Bitcoin will always pumps its price cause their are no altcoin to buy

Bitcoin was created before any of the altcoins that we know today. so any altcoin exists because of bitcoin and copying that idea. but also they are an alternative way of investment which only affect bitcoin amount that we all have.

Bitcoin itself is going to be more worth and that is really nice of course but nobody will ever know what will happen later in the future and that is hard.
But you can even see now that Bitcoin is becoming more worth so that is really nice.

I agree with the headline. Without altcoin, I will have no bitcoin as I got the bitcoin mostly by mining and selling altcoin.

I do not think so, most people first know about bitcoin, and not altcoins. so you can definitely get a bitcoin, without altcoins. even i see you join the signature campaign. so you can get bitcoin without altcoins and you still can have bitcoin.

Most of the altcoins are secondary compared to bitcoin. I consider none of them a real treat to bitcoin. Not by a long shot anyway. So without altcoins bitcoin would have probably done the same.

there is never a "threat" for bitcoin even if there is or will be a good altcoin out there that can compete with bitcoin, it will only be a competition at best.

I honestly don't see any reason why bitcoin can ever be threatened or be replaced, because even if a new altcoin is created with fantastic features that can become better than bitcoin it will only be an alternative way of using crypto currencies and will be used alongside with bitcoin.

I would actually prefer bitcoin without altcoin, rather than bitcoin with lots of shitty altcoins. The altcoins are flooding the markets right now and if you look at the alternative cryptocurrencies board, it's flooded with no announcements.

Most of them are pump and dump schemes, which obviously bad for the newbie.

I think it is good for it defines how bitcoin is better than any coin. Just my opinion though. I see a huge amount before they reach a good amount like bitcoin so they are just definers whatever happen.

Some people use bitcoin to buy altcoin as there not many altcon/fiat markets. So people have to buy bitcoin first, they increase the price.

Some people use bitcoin to buy altcoin as there not many altcon/fiat markets. So people have to buy bitcoin first, they increase the price.

Bitcoin is the gold, and while litecoin was the silver, that place now belongs to ethereum. Without bitcoin they would be nothing.

good statement, altcoin will not have a value without bitcoin,it's why bitcoin is important for another coin(altcoin). without alt coin, bitcoin will keep living alt coin not give a serious impact for bitcoin.
