Is it enough for minning eth with nicehash app to decompress NiceHashMiner v.1.4.x.x and run succesfully the benchmark ?

I am asking this because whenever I tryied that until now the miner keep restarting just after the data dir and the R23 file is finish.

From the log file I am receiving this :

or .... do I have to run additional software and run something like the eth-proxy web interface ?

My set-up is 3 different PC with some R9-280x and one 7900 cards in them in the same subnet .

Thank you !!

That is on win7 and win10 rigs with 15.12 drivers . Any ideas ?

did you run a benchmark?

Same with mine , but instead main window stays active but black windows except debug closes v.very quickly     :-((

Its ok now, it just takes 20-30mins to do the eth bench.

If the windwos is closed you have some wrong parameters in the command line, did you edit the config manually ?

so it is normal to wait up to 20-30 mins doing the bench in order for eth mining to work?
I'll try it again because I taught there's still a problem when trying it earlier thanks for the
update mate. happy mining nicehash.

I thought about it and start again from scratch after doing reboot to my PC . All the changes was made through "settings" button only after that , but the results are the same .

I believe it has something to do with the address after the -F parameter . Is it correct the parameter "-F http://127.0.0.1:4052/miner/10/AMD_OpenCL" ?
Do I have to run or setup something else besides NiceHashMiner in order to hash eth ?

Thnx

The ethminer process can load 100% during the initialisation. When it is mining, it should load less than 10%.

I have a AMD 8 core FX CPU, 16GB RAM, 1 x R9-390-8GB and GTX980 Ti-6GB running on my PC.
If I put NH miner running 24x7, what would be the BTC payout per day?
Is it profitable to mine this way (ie. using NH) or better to mine individually vs multi-algo auto-mining?
I know this may sound basic questions but appreciate 2nd opinions.

Thanks

CPU will generate more heat and eat more energy but profit will be near zero. So better disable cpu mining in nicehash miner,
R9 390 and 980ti are good for mining and if you don't want to waste time learning all altcoin mining details then nicehash miner is good choice. BTC payout per day will vary, so just try for a day and you will see.

I just got around to experiment, and after running standard benchmark - the app smartly chosen the 390 for ETH and 980-Ti for algo/neoscrypt.
The dashboard says 6.5$ per day and global rate 13.2$ -- I assume after running this for day, I might catch up to global rate?
I disabled the CPU... after I see the payout of cents compares to dollars compared to GPU mining. Yes, the AMD 8-core does heat up.

I noticed the ETH mining uses sammy007 proxy. If I have another rig, could I point ETH mining to this proxy?

In fact you will get more if amd 390 will be mining with claymore dual miner in Etherium only mode with Dwarfpool and then trading to btc. Nvidia better to leave with nicehash.

my other rigs with 390s are already with Claymore Dual Miner v4.1 - purring like kittens, running nearly maximum speed/hash and very very low rejects, esp the latest version - IMO very good miner.

The Claymore miner does not support solo mining at the moment. So you cannot use it for the proxy.

Yes, I know that. This particular rig is not on Claymore Dual Miner.

If I install NH Miner on it mining ETH, can other rigs point to it since its running a proxy?

According to Claymore, in the next release of the Dual miner, he will support the solo mining. So it is good news.

If you are having issues with AMD GPUs, try these steps:

1. TRY IF YOU CAN CONNECT TO NICEHASH
- open Command Line window (cmd.exe)
- if telnet utility is not installed, do install it: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc771275%28v=ws.10%29.aspx
- run this command: "telnet x11.eu.nicehash.com 3336"
- wait 30 seconds and get print-screen (cmd window should refresh and show blank cmd window)

2. ONLY IF USING AMD Pitcairn, Hawaii or Tahiti GPUs:
- open Command Line window (cmd.exe)
- change directory into NiceHashMiner\bin\sgminer-5-1-1-optimized\
- run this command: "runme.bat"
- wait 5 minutes and get print-screen

3. FOR ANY AMD GPUs:
- open Command Line window (cmd.exe)
- change directory into NiceHashMiner\bin\sgminer-5-2-1-general\
- run this command: "runme.bat"
- wait 5 minutes and get print-screen

And send us print-screens to support@nicehash.com so that we can help you debug issues.

Also, if you have multiple GPUs, try running NiceHash Miner with only one GPU selected for test.

And of course, make sure you're using AMD Driver Catalyst Omega 15.7.1.

Best regards,
NiceHash team.

Hello,

New bugfix version of NiceHash Miner has just been released: https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashMiner/releases/tag/1.4.0.2

Hello guys,

I really don't want to bother anyone with newbie question, but does anyone have working rig with 6*750ti, nicehach miner and ethereum? I am struggling for a long time with configuration, ant would appreciate any help. For now, I am only asking if anyone got it working, and if anyone want to help me to get it working.

I must say that every other algo is working like a charm except ether.

Thanks...
