Nicehash service has never worked that way. You'd have to use a Monero-specific pool and Monero-specific mining software.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

something is wrong with sgminer and daggerhashimoto with my rx cards..

the fans dont spin, they are at like 600 rpm and temps go up and the cards turn off.
i tried to set the target temp to 65 instead of 75 but it doesnt help, the fans spin up to 3000 rpm for a second or two but then drop right back down to under 1000 rpm.

edit, it seems it does it with the pc with my r9 380s too.. altho those cards dont get hot enough to shut down, just run at 78c with 700 fan Sad

edit two, i think it might be something with sgminer and msi afterburner custom fan profile.. anyone else having any issues?

i had the exact same problem with this latest.  I had to set --gpufan 90 in the settings for daggerhashimoto... in the settings, it had --gpufan 35-95

i had to go back to 1.7.4.1, because the latest kept dropping my fan speeds to below what i want them at. and it overrides fans speed settings with msi afterburner.

And why it asks for a Bitcoin address/wallet?

Because you need to read their website, and this way you'll know they pay in BTC directly, whatever the mined algorythm, hence why they speak about algo, and never about coins.

@alucard20724,
@aarons6
Did you make clean install or did you copy your old config over the new version?

@evakka
As a seller, you can only earn bitcoins at NiceHash.
However, if you want to get Monero, you can buy hashing power for CryptoNight and mine yourself some XMR (Monero).

yes clean install.. i did temporary fixed it by removing auto-fan and temp-target and setting the fan manual to 65

i still have msi afterburner on a custom fan curve which still seems to be working...  so something in the temp-target and auto-fan messes it up.

@alucard20724,

I did a clean install.  I think what is happening is that the settings for sgminer is over-riding my fan settings for msi afterburner each time sgminer is run with which ever algorythm it set at that time which is much lower (set to 15%) than the setting i had in msi.

Does disabling AMD Temperature Control help?

it is enabled by default so sgminer is overriding the settings.

"disable AMD Temperature Control" is not enabled, nor was it ever enable.  I'm running MSI afterburner to control settings.  I already know sgminer is overriding the settings. I've stated both of these in the post you quoted... that's the problem sgminer is over riding the settings and making the fans spin at lower speeds.  setting the launch parameters in nicehash miner doesn't fix the problem either.

Anyone having problems with 5 rx480 setup mining ethhash with sgminer? Using latest nhm. 4 cards work well while 5th card says it's running at 4MH/s...

Yes 1.4.2 is unstable for me, causes RX480 systems to crash.

I went back to 1.4.1 and disabled ETH for now.

There is a thread over on Github about the issues

Obvious for a medium, maybe...

Anyway, have you checked your power usage (gpu's not starved for power) ? tried with stock clock ? checked if riser don't have an issue ? tried ddu-uninstall drivers and reinstall ? what drivers version are u using ?

Even though i am a veteran in trading, I am absolutely new in mining. So I am sorry if my question sounds a little stupid.

I want to mine lunacoin. Is it possible through this miner?

According to this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1748320 - it is using Scrypt  algorithm, so yes, it is possible. Just select Scrypt algorithm when placing orders. Before that, you should find some decent pools of course.

NiceHash Miner v1.7.4.3

Download:
https://www.nicehash.com/?p=nhmintro

This is a minor bug-fix release and minor feature updates.

You all need to add Claymore as a 3rd party ETH miner option, it works fine and doesn't have all these driver issues you're having with the ETH Miner and SGMiner.
