Can I  mine with  VPS hosting with this nicehash miner? How is the profit?
The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Will NiceHashMiner v2 source be avaliable after release? I run personally modded version of 1.x.x.x on my farms and I'm curious of the new features that'll be added in v2.x

P.S.: signed up for testing too  Wink

Im confused how I can calculate nicehash profitability to include power consumption. I tried viewing the faq, but that was very confusing for me to understand. Is there an easy way to do this?

The computers we have running the NiceHash miner all seem to be profit switching on at least a semi regular basis. I know this is an annoying question, but have you tried reinstalling the miner completely (instead of just updating it)?

yes
the 'semi-regular basis' is the annoying bit
when profitability drops i stop mining, then restart, and it always decides on a better coin/algo

This may be derp/nooby question, but is it possible to use the nicehash app / algo switching but mine those coins directly on non-nicehash pools?

I have this error just before miner restarts. Sometimes after 50+ hours, sometimes after 20-30 hours of mining.

To Hash or not to Hash, that's what the question

If i have spare minute i check manually what are the most profitable algos and i have multiple rigs, so i try it on one before i switch all manually. As many noticed its "Regular" switch to more profitable algo is in autopilot, but if you stop -start mining, it is indeed choosing better algo, so it turns out you can do it in 3 ways - manually checking profitability and stop-start process or you can uncheckmark certain algos in settings (which is was doing lately) works either way.
By the way - just got one ATI PRO DUO with water cooler block to try just for the heck of it - not really impressive, i must admit. If any one interested i can post a screenshot with nicehash benchmark on stock clocks.

which version of nicehash miner are you running?  this started happening a couple versions ago when decred was changed something or other.

This shouldn't be happening in the latest version of Claymore or Nicehash.

also you only need to put "-dual=Decred" in the extra launch parameters since you are trying to mine both on nicehash
also, the -asm 2 parameter was if you were only wanting to mine eth and not decred.. the -asm 2 gave better/stable hash when just mining eth and not decred

Hi.

Thank you for your response. I am running the latest version from Nicehash .10 and Claymore 9.2.
I will do as you suggested next time I will stop it. Right now is working for 70hours without restarting.

John

Hello,

was there a drop in the profitability?
3 days ago my projected weekly income was about 0.0052 btc with 2 GTX1080 and 2 GTX970.
My rig has now 3 GTX1080 and 2 GTX970 and my projected weekly income is now only 0.049 btc. The new card is working well, all shares are shown in the staticics, there are no rejected shares.
After installing the new card it should be about 0.07 btc per week.

Why is it so low?

yes a few days ago was paying out quite a bit higher than today, but then bitcoin is also up near 1900.. so even tho you make less bitcoin, you get more worth Smiley

Hello,

was there a drop in the profitability?
Hello. I've had average global rate minimum of 0,0022 BTC/day with my GTX 1070 less than week ago. Now it is 0,0017 and falling further. In a current moment it is 0,0015. Frustrating.
And there were no significant drops of both ZEC and BTC for last 1 month. Can someone explain why this is happening?

It is expected when value of BTC:fiat is rising.
Also, earnings are influenced by marketplace itself.
Thanks for your answer. It is good when you understand why things are happening. You don't feel yourself so helpless when you do:)
I hope NiceHash miner will soon have an ability to apply overclocking settings individually for each algorithm. There is such an option in settings but NiceHashSupport said it is currently not working.
NiceHash automatic algorithm switching is very helpful but my pc often hangs after switching from equihash because oc settings optimized for it aren't suitable for another algorithms, so I have to mine equihash only.
I think this is a "must have" feature for such a comfy miner.
