Hey All,

Please ignore this guy below.

I just need to point something out, like I do every day:

1- If your order fails, we always refund not only the fees but also the price difference if BTC went up.
2- To this date, never has anyone been robbed or scammed by BitInstant. If you think you have been, please PM me right away!

Its all selective scamming.

In this case,
You fuckup a bunch of orders, then you refund only the people who complain.

In the meantime,
You makeup excuses ranging from "technical error" to "fraud alert" and try to maintain your image as "too big to steal".

You publicize refunding fees so you may seem ethical, but that doesn't really happen.

I wouldn't count on getting the original full amount for the price of bitcoin at the time of purchase. You're going to get what you get.

Plenty of people were told they were going to get refunds for the fees and market price at time of purchase (if you look a few pages back), but never did, including myself. Since they delayed the transaction, I had to pay $21.XX/bitcoin, but at the time of purchase it was $19.XX/bitcoin

It would have equivalent to an extra bitcoin or two on my purchase.

That's just strong arm robbery.

These guys will take all week trying to shop around for BTC at low rates, and then they'll charge you whatever high rate it popping on the day they get it through.

4%? Try 10%
[/quote]

Dude, stop making shit up.

You are just a troller. You never placed an order with BitInstant, nor have ever been robbed by us. If you had, please give me your Order ID

But you won't. Why? Because you are a troller and a loser.

Charlie

I need help. I purchased $490 worth of bitcoin from bit instant on Monday and received it. I bought an additional $490 on Tuesday and never received it. On Wednesday I wrote to technical support and got a response from Rachel stating that my issue had been turned over to tech support and I would have my money later that day. It is Thursday evening and I haven't received anything, I wrote another e-mail earlier today and didn't get a response. I am very annoyed considering I paid a premium to have my bit coins as soon as possible and going on 4 days later I have nothing. Also, I assume that when this does eventually get resolved I will receive the full original amount and not the current market price, correct? Thanks for any help you can provide. -Doc         OrderID: e2acc0cf-6722-4933-8287-d6f2981a3d5e

Hey man.

1- We also pay refunds, and honor the same BTC price.

Im pretty sure we refunded you days ago, so not sure why you posted this.

If you havent been refunded, please PM me right away!

We have something close to a dozen new support queries about nonpayments in the last 24hrs... and dozens more in the last 30 days.

Charlie, why don't you guys scale down volume until you can keep the coins flowing properly? You're undermining the future of your company by maintaining unethical practices early in its life. The image you promote is deceptive, and the fees are paying for a service you aren't providing.

I've seen the occasional case were these guys refund those fees too, but I've never been offered despite sometimes waiting for more than 5 days.

Hey,

Our volume has been growing nicely every day. However with that, of course were going to have more support issues.

A few issues a day on a few hundred orders a day is great actually.

Keep in mind, this is a Support Thread. Of course all you are going to see are support requests!

Charlie

Hello Yankee,

I got : Failed verification too often - giving up

Hello Yankee,

I just attempted to execute a transfer from Dwolla to Mt.Gox and apparently the transaction has failed!

The funds were withdrawn from my Dwolla account, but weren’t transferred to my Mt.Gox account.

The same thing happened to me on my previous two transfers, but you guys sorted it out fairly quickly.

Looks like this processed Feb 08 2013 15:35 GMT, can you confirm?

I had two orders, you funded one but not the other.
I received payment confirmation from ZipZap on both, as well as emails
saying the order was executed and paid on both of them as well.

My order status shows it was paid and it was completed and paid but it is incorrect.

Order: 25774b97-d6fb-4509-bc3c-bf6a42f88eef

Thanks.

Hey, yeh it got caught in our double spend fraud filter, pushing it thru now.

Dont worry, you are getting the same amount of BTC, regardless of the rise.

Charlie

Hi,

I placed an order with Bit Instant on three days ago on the 5th. The money never arrived in the bitcoin wallet that I had specified to send it to. According to the blockchain.info listing, the bitcoins seem to have hit my wallet for a split second and then bounced elsewhere. My wallet though, shows no evidence of the bitcoins ever showing up, even for a second so I know that they didn't get pulled from my wallet somehow.

The order number is "1dcd2a90-239f-4e81-a9fa-d26cba845c98". I contacted customer support and Rachel said that the issue would be taken care of. I have not received another response though and still do not have the coins. I wrote again to Rachel to check in on the progress, but I never got a response.

What should I do next?

Hey,

Your order processed normally: http://blockchain.info/address/1CrkaSf2jbqt5aEu3Ai4gRazVHLKg9CHmE

If you are using a 3rd party wallet or service, sometimes they take longer to credit you

Thanks

Hey Everyone,

I am happy to report that my transaction finally went through!

It unfortunately took about 17 hours or so for them to straighten it out and get me my funds, but thankfully everything turned out okay.

Thanks to Charlie, Rachel, Seth, and the rest of the support crew over at BitInstant.

This is a flat out lie.  I've had several orders fail due to low reserves, demanded my fees back and got nothing every time. I didn't even consider asking for the BTC price difference, although I made it quite clear that I was pissed off due to price move during the outage.

Instead I got a "most people understand how our service works," implying it was my fault that the order failed, when I said you should at least warn people about not being able to fill orders.

EDIT: I have been given a generous refund for not only the fees on my messed up orders, but also BTC price difference.  Consider me very impressed.

Hey,

It's not a lie, however I do admit that sometimes we overlook orders that have processed after the window.

We have customers emailing us from orders from weeks ago that they need refunded.

If you have Order ID's that need to be refunded, PLEASE send me a PM RIGHT AWAY

Thanks

I'm still waiting for Charlie to correct a transaction from 9 days ago. I've sent 4 PM's only one response saying it would be done in a couple hours, that was 8 days ago. I've been in contact with Rachael by email who always email me back right away with apologies and statements that Charlie will do it today.

He just refunded me the difference on my order from over a week ago. Just do honest math and let him know how much is lost.

I could imagine it would be difficult and time consuming to go through and find out which orders he needs to be refund.

Thank you Yankee for getting this straightened out.

I have used Bitinstant  and Coinapult to email bitcoins to a bitcoin address once before with no problems.  This time, when I tried to send the bitcoins via Coinapult, there was an error sending the coins.  Next, I was informed that to retrieve the bitcoins I had to enter my email address and the Top Secret Location.  As I had no idea what that top secret location was and there is no mention of it on the coinapult website, the bitinstant web site or google and I was/am still at a loss.  This was over $470 that has gone missing without a trace.  It is friday night so my guess is no one will be around til Monday to answer any questions.  There seems to be an unusually large amount of problems here for a company that deals with liquid assets.  I am somewhat reassured that a lot of angry people edit their posts to resolved.  Please contact me ASAP if anyone from one of these two companies reads this.  I needed to get those bitcoins through right away.

Some details regarding the transaction:

The funds were there until the errors sending to the Bitcoin addresses.  I tried a second BC address as I thought maybe that was the problem but that one failed too. What happened? Where are the Bitcoins?

<update>:  I have received an email from Seth this afternoon apologizing for the delay and asking for some additional information.  I have supplied the info and am waiting for his reply as to what happened to the Bitcoins.  I will Update when I hear any news.

Happy Saturday everyone!

Hi Bitinstant,

I am having trouble with the second of my two transactions today. Only one went through according to blockchain.info.

This one here worked:

OrderID: b407fe5b-c075-4e46-a3d6-857cbc1348f4
EventID: e1d53c0b-3189-4136-8fc6-01ac084bb722

APIResponse: {'BTC': 12.842029999999999}

This one did not:

OrderID: 428f2d3d-50fe-4572-b48b-418332dcecbc
EventID: c2a020dd-358e-4f38-9920-fbe313c82839

I don't know if it got stuck in some filter for being too similar(same destination address maybe) or moneygram couldn't process the two transactions to the same account?

Either way, I'm hoping for the coins to be released ASAP. Please update me with the status. Many Thanks.

Yup, its in the fraud filter. Processing it thru now

Haven't received the coins yet. Just wanted to check in on the time-table for processing. Mildly urgent that I get the coins in the next 24 hrs, would greatly appreciate it if you make sure it goes through. (Still not on blockchain.info or at the destination).
