There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

We just wanted to give everyone an update. We have finished implementing all features that will prevent this attack from happening in the future. We have also added optional 2 factor authentication and account passwords for added protection. Now we just need to thoroughly test everything, and then the site will be back again.
We are very sorry about this. We are working hard on resolving this issue as quickly as possible.

Thanks everyone for your patience while the site was down. We are now pleased to announce that Bitcoin Video Casino is up and running again.
Our site was recently the target of an attack that unfortunately was able to compromise some user account keys. We initially were informed of the attack when users told us that their balances were suddenly jumping down to zero. We noticed that somebody was sending withdrawal commands from multiple accounts to a single Bitcoin address, so we quickly took down the site to investigate further.
Most accounts were not affected by the attack. The malicious user was only able to extract Bitcoins from a few accounts, some of which unfortunately had quite high balances. We will refund all accounts that had their credit balances affected by the attack.
We believe that user account keys were leaking through the http_referer HTTP header. We have solved this problem by no longer sending the account_key in the URL, but instead storing it as a cookie on your computer. This method is similar to how other Bitcoin gaming sites do it.
The server itself was never compromised. No unauthorized user ever had access to our server.
We have now fixed the problem. As part of the fix, your account URL will no longer be shown in your browser’s URL bar. Instead, you can get it by clicking on the new ACCOUNT tab. We have also enabled optional password protection and 2 factor authentication for accounts. We urge all users to configure one or both of these security measures for their account.
Unfortunately, because we don’t know what accounts were compromised, we have had to temporarily invalidate all user accounts. If you have an account with Bitcoin Video Casino, when you return to the site, you will see a message explaining how to recover your account. Newly created accounts are not affected by this, and work normally.
If anybody has any additional information about this attack, please PM us.
This was an absolutely awful event to happen to the site, and we are doing everything in our power to make everything good again as quickly as possible. We are incredibly sorry for what has happened. We are committed to making Bitcoin Video Casino the best gaming site out there.

Can you give me an answer about the jackpot keno? You said earlier that if you hit 10 numbers, you win 1000*3 credits (triple bonus) + jackpot size. I think you can change it on 5000*3 credits, as we should win 15000 coins without jackpot. Why is no info about this on your site?

Yes, that's correct. Since you need to bet 5 credits to win the jackpot, your base payout would be 5000*3 credits, and then you'd get the progressive contribution on top of all that. We thought of ways to include this information in the payout table but couldn't fit everything. We could maybe add more info on the help pages. |
