OMG yeah I didn't think of that: if someone mixed up their withdraw with the miner fee box and sent a miner several hundred dollars for a few cents worth of bitcoin, yeah that would seriously suck LOL.  So, yeah, no... never mind my idea.  Bad idea. LOL

Regarding the "game error" dialog, that is very strange! We have heard about this same error about one year ago. I was able to locate your game in the database. According to the server, you hit 3 times and were dealt ace, 5, 7, ace, king. Is that correct? The error is saying that what your browser thinks you did is not the same as what the server thinks you did. Did you notice anything strange before you got that error?

Honestly I play so fast I can't remember hardly any individual hand after a few seconds, LOL

But looking at the screen shot I saved of the error dialog box, I think we can see that the dealer had a hard 17 there and my hand (with 8 chips bet) consists of four cards.  I don't know what the cards were exactly but clearly ONE of the cards is missing from my browser's understanding of the hand dealt!

If starting hand was A-5 vs dealer 17 that's a hit of course. 6/16 plus the next (?) card of 7 makes it hard 13 vs 17 so I'd have HIT again: if I then got another Ace it's only 14 vs 17 *SO* yes I WOULD have HIT again (to presumably get that KING and bust out at 24) but since we can see there that my hand only shows FOUR cards, it appears the browser thinks I stood on 14 versus dealer 17??

Either way, I would've lost the hand (bust out, or 14 loses to hard 17) so regardless it's a correct result that my 8 chips bet was lost.

But it's very strange (and a little worrisome) that the server and my browser could've "LOST" a card here.

IF this was a big bet and/or IF it was a lost card that'd make the house win versus player win, THAT is potentially a big problem Sad

P.S. Thanks for upping the fee for us, hopefully temporarily, to help the slow transaction clearing problem. Nice of you Smiley

Hehe yeah maybe we'll hold off on the extra miner's fee field for now. Smiley

Yes it's very strange that the number of cards that your browser is showing is different than what the server thinks. It certainly makes sense that you would have hit on 14 when the dealer shows 17, so for some reason your browser does not show that final card that you hit.

As part of our provably fair system, we sanity check variables on the client and server side to make sure everything is consistent. This has helped us uncover a few bugs during development in addition to proving that our games are fair and completely random. Fortunately if a user were playing a big hand he would see this dialog box and could then contact us to claim his winnings.

We've tried to reproduce this bug by autoplaying games on a development server for days on end without any luck. Bitcoin Video Casino has been around for 2.5 years now and this is now the second time we've heard about this bug. The other user had the same issue -- the number of hits on the server was not the same as the client. I wonder if some kind of network issue is causing things to get out of sync? That might explain why we can't reproduce this locally. We will try to take another look at the client code. I really would love to fix this super rare issue but if we can't reproduce it we don't really know where to look... Sad

Thanks for letting us know about this issue.

If you PM me your Bitcoin address I will refund your game and send you some extra coins for your troubles. Smiley

Ha, yeah... or *actually* I was thinking about this more and maybe you could do it safely by using a drop-down menu control instead of free-form text field, i.e. make it so the user can ONLY choose a few preset choices like "Extra Optional Miner Fee" with 0.0000 or 0.0001 or 0.0002 thru like maybe maximum 0.0005.

That way, we could add an extra fee if we wanted our transaction to clear faster (paid for out of our funds) but only have the default 0.0001 applied otherwise... and no chance for a mistake putting too much $ there.

Anyway, just an idea.  The spam attack seems to have stopped (finally) so maybe just consider for future.

Thanks, I appreciate that.  PM sent Smiley

Anyway I suppose all this means I've just been "lucky" to have hit this really RARE bug, eh?

I'd much prefer to have been lucky hitting one of your slot jackpots!

Maybe... some day... hope hope... LOL

Hi again:  Just wanted to say 'thanks' in public for the bug-reward you sent.  Much appreciated.

Also, I hate to be a pain in the ass but I recently noticed one more issue too: Are you guys gonna update the BVC "withdraw code" to allow withdrawals to multi-sig addresses any time soon?

By multi-sig I mean those bitcoin wallet addresses that start with a "3" rather than the usual, simple ones that start with a "1"...?

Not sure if "multi-sig" is the right term for that, but I've tried a couple times to withdraw to other wallets I use sometimes, like Copay and GreenAddress, that ONLY seem to use the "3 type" addresses, and the BVC site code always says it's an invalid address.

My solution meantime has been to send to a temporary wallet on RushWallet or Blockchain.info and THEN re-send to my final destination "3" address, but that's kinda a pain in the ass, and it costs an extra transaction fee (and confirmation time delay too).

Anyway, IS this a really complex thing?  Shouldn't the BVC wallet really be able to send to ANY truly VALID bitcoin address?

Thanks Smiley

This is actually the first that we've heard about being unable to withdraw to a multisig address. I'm sorry that you've had to make your withdrawals to your multisig address in such a roundabout way.

I took a quick look at our backend withdrawal code and I do see that we first check for a "1" as the first character of the withdrawal address before checking the entire address against its checksum. I believe it should be possible to change that first code to look for a 1 or a 3, or perhaps just get rid of that check altogether, since verifying the checksum should be sufficient.

I hope this hasn't been a problem for a lot of other users!

We should have this fixed soon.

Withdrawing to multisig "3XXXX" addresses should now work fine. Please let us know if you are still having trouble withdrawing to a multisig address and we will take a closer look. Thanks! Smiley

Nice site!
However, one consideration:
You should also be running a Bitcoin Faucet tied 2 your site or at least offer a small stake to help newcomers use your site and learn about bitcoin!

+1, I am pretty sure that most of them are admins' shills accounts, never seen high level and reliable members win there before. All big winnings are from newbies, haha, very fishy.

I'm not really sure if you're real player or just admin in this site to attract more players to play. You hit the jackpot many times and won more than 30btc in just few days. As I learn, real players wont share all his earning and keep it as a secret, so as like other said "it is kinda fishy"
But if it is true that you are real player, nothing else to say but congrats.

I could say why I think this site is fishy. Once i saw the for sale advertisement in this casino, I contacted the admin and asked the price of this site, the admin said they have earned 3000 btc from players in 2014.

So 2 possibilities:
1. this casino is very old and with bad looking user interface, I don't think there are so many stupid rich guys waste 3k btc or more on this kind of casino, if this casino can earn 3k btc per year, other big casinos will earn 10k-50k btc per year, but how many bitcoins in total? 15 million and over 7 million coins are lost forever.(I read in one report) AFAIK, PD's mod said they have earned over 10k so far, this casino with 3k profit must be a fake, if they can really earn 3k btc per year, why does he wanna dump the casino to others? 3K profit is fucking awesome and most of btc casinos can't win so many coins per year.

2. this casino is really profitable and earned 3k btc last year, so that many newbies accounts post big winnings must be shills, or they won't fool so many people to lose 3k btc per year. But if this speculation is correct, the casino owner shouldn't sell it cause the money is so easy to earn.

Overall, this casino is not a good place to bet, at least I won't deposit any btc here.
