The chance that it will happen is really small and that is that many people are still dont even know how Bitcoin works so that is the problem.
If it will make it disappear than Bitcoin have to be really popular so there will be also more people that have to promote it so more people can get to know about it.
Banks will not dissapear anyway and everybody know it. Bitcoin can't compete banks, it's just need to evolve to start. When bitcoin will grow we will see what happen. I believe banks could offer a bitcoin payment service or savings but i doubt they will support it as the countries in general are against bitcoin because it being decentralized and not regulated. We cannot say now itself that bitcoin will not disappear banks. But already many merchants are avoiding bank system for their routine payment by adopting bitcoins payments. So every common people will decide their own convenient risk-free payment system in future. So, I too doubt about the survival of banks. Well said. Banks will face difficult days in future when bitcoin influence how people are transacting for their daily financial needs. No one will stick with their troubling system for long time. So, all the people from all the countries will switch over to the freedom, definitely that would be bitcoin system only. No it is not true, banks would have needed by many people. Because the banks are very cudgel for the economy of a country. It is now evident bitcoin prices are still affected by the dollar and many people who become bitcoin exchange the currency with banks. It is one of the proofs that bitcoin is still dependent on banks. And bitcoin could not make banks disappear. |

are3 more and more people using the bitcoin banks don't wait to invest in them and store their coins. This
is a big booming.
That's true bitcoins can never make banks out of the industry. Since the beginning of time, an economy needs a bank to manage the circulate of money in the society. Without the bank people tend to hide the money their own pockets and less money will just go in the cycle of a country. |

I believe that also, but I think there would appear a bank for bitcoins. Bank bitcoin maybe not just digital bank, but physical bank either like other bank the usual way we are using and know it. Banks won't disappear and will be always there as long as there is a cycle of economy in the world. You will not be needing a bitcoin bank because you already have it in your wallet. And having a bitcoin bank is just an added hassle. You need to submit documents which compromise your security and anonymity. We are good the way it is. And fiat bank don't have to disappear too. It is a good source of income trading bitcoin to fiat and vice versa. |

I was just about to write the exact same thing. My opinion is the same. Yeah that is not possible ever, people need banks, businesses needs banks for their business transactions and they will need in future too even bitcoin gets on the mainstream. It is only possible when it is used by everyone and that would be nice of course but not everyone knows how to use Bitcoin and that is the problem so that have to change. But it is now really hard to make it more popular because the value now is not even rising. |

Yes absolutely right banks and financial holding power for bitcoin hard to make it disappear. That can not happen in the future. People really need banks and rely heavily on banks for their finance. |

For me, its not. Fiat currencies still have a lot of advantages than bitcoin. Not everyone in the world are already aware of bitcoin and neither all have access to computers or the internet. So, it is way very far to think yet that banks will disappear because of bitcoin.

lmao, bitcoin is backed by fiat, if fiat collapsed so do the bitcoin, the realistic value of bitcoin will not go great this way.  we must keep banks if we wanna keep bitcoin, unless the bitcoin can be backed by commodities like silver or useful stuff. |

I think you are confusing something here. Banking is Necessary. Banks are Not. It is just we didn't have any way to change current system - not until now. With blockchain we could redefine banking system. Non-bank lending institutions may be replacing banks in the future. |

I think you are confusing something here. Banking is Necessary. Banks are Not. It is just we didn't have any way to change current system - not until now. With blockchain we could redefine banking system. Non-bank lending institutions may be replacing banks in the future. Banking is necessary for sure as many small business and normal users are dependent on it for their day to day transactions and that will be the same scenario in future too. |
