no product to ship, but will still spend endlessly on pre-orders that at this point are false advertising.   They plainly advertise a rating for hardware that hasn't been tested and they don't have in possession.  IMO it is irresponsible to host BFL pre-order ads at this point:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137470.msg1472423#msg1472423

Josh's entire post history is riddled with personal insults, seemly randomly thrown around:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=8198;sa=showPosts

If you are playing along at home, remember Josh's Lolz timeline at the the end of this wall of text after his CES didn't quite go as planned:

https://forums.butterflylabs.com/announcements/692-bfl-asic-status.html

and here in this massive thread (lots and lots of ppl with pre-orders!) Josh has to pop in every few days to pretend like something is in motion:

https://forums.butterflylabs.com/bfl-forum-miscellaneous/690-13-jan-2013-asic-update-discussion-thread.html

Zerlan & BFL are pulling strings with bitcointalk mods behind the scenes to silence me, while letting Josh hurl personal insults at me in the BFL thread.  Here is a copy of the PM I just rec'd and my public response:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=139234.0

Greetings.  I support and share your concerns about BFL. But your tone is hostile, the messages are repetitive, and your posts are being reported by may long standing members of the community.  Expressing a concern is fine, having a discussion thread for it is fine.  Posting over and over again is totally offtopic. Please cut it out.

my reply:

so Josh's tone is acceptable?  I said nothing in the BFL thread until he mentioned me, once again badmouthing me and launching personal attacks.  I reply with facts to attacks.

What is the nature of this?  you can clearly see my conduct is not abusive and his is.  I feel the monies paid by BFL for forum advertising + other factors clouds judgement of bitcointalk owners and mods

------------------------------------------------

A further reply:

dig through Josh's Bitcointalk history:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=8198;sa=showPosts

here is his most recent post:

Haha this coming from one of the most unbalanced stalkers on BitcoinTalk.  You should listen to him folks, he knows what the heck he is talking about from first hand experience in stalking others.

2nd most recent:

Quote
Arrogance is all that I am reading.

Your priorities are interestingly "screwed". Your more worried about Avalons 400w than their GH/s.

Well whatever, if it get your caught with your pants down once the reviews take place, it is none of my concern.

Awww did I deflate your incoherent babbling?  Poor baby.  Yes, arrogance.. right..  How's your Avalon hashing for you?  It shipped a week ago, right?

Why do you care what BFL customers get?  You aren't a customer and never will be, so why do you care?

Quote
Strange, it almost sounds like you are stating you have only had one respin.

Perhaps you should recount how many wafer batches you have thrown out between each correction to this date as you correct for "issues". Try using your fingers to count the masks, I am sure that will make it easier.

Excellent, so you're so devoid of coherent arguments that you bring up two entirely unrelated things to try to bolster your bullshit.  Heh... idiot.

and lastly, the reason why I replied to the BFL thread (which I don't "troll" or over-post in.  I am in all ways inactive in the thread after my initial scam postings, until I see this:

your too stupid to figure out simple concepts.

www.joshzerlan.com is my new favorite website

Yeah, gotta love a website run by a white trash, homophobic, anti-semetic washed up poker player trying to be important, right?  Micon is one bald head away from being a neo-nazi.

and then a mod deleting my reply, again just a fact-based account of our interaction, then messaging me citing my "hostile tone" after I'm called a neo-nazi

BFL's money has bought and paid for a grip of denial, and it appears to spread all the way to the top.

I reply with facts to attacks.

No, pretty much this entire thread (and the other two) are just you manufacturing circumstantial evidence.

When others (like smoothie) got involved it became obvious that no-one was willing to do a real investigation of Butterfly Labs, which would include visiting the fab and taking pictures. All this was about was your personal campaign against Josh. You said it in your video you were going to go after him because you didn't like him. That moment cast a doubt over everything you've done so far and it looks to me like that doubt was validated last week.

The onus of proof is on you, since Butterfly Labs has delivered in the past. Do you have any actual evidence to show that they can not deliver this time? If not, this entire thread reads more like a flame troll than anything else.

Get big reputation with one doing and screw everyone with another.

Classic scam scheme.

BFL didn't develop FPGA chips, they use some existing solution.

And in ASIC there are no solutions. Huge work required with many borders.

They drop sand in all of your faces with their superior FPGA expirence (and half year shipping delays). Now they gather your money, ask to return FPGA devices and then guess what...

I repeat, there are no terms and agreements in their website.

They don't owe you anything. They are able do whatever comes to their mind. This is not regulated in any way.

I think a better example is warranted when it comes to ASIC vendors.

Micon has been told to shut up for doing too good of a job!!! Why does BFL need so much time to get their act together? Why did they take my money while telling me I was gonna get it last year?

I hate liars but I hate politicians even more and Josh is what a politician does, campaigns in the race to build a better future for his voters. All the while taking in pre-orders(bribes) for a chance to have a better hash rate than the rest of us workers.

Hey Josh why not just get a loan from everyone next time instead of a pre-order. That way everyone will just get interest while we wait and you can take as long as you want.

The forum is the media and they're on the take. Micon might as well be the rogue journalist that is being painted with the conspiracy brush. "Shut Him UP!! , We have alot invested in this ride, Look at my brows of furrow!!"- Bill Hicks

If you don't want to read Micon posts then ignore him but I want to know If Josh is a POS so I won't buy from him and BUY FROM AVALON. Thats why I come here and read the forums.

Thats why your getting advertisements impressions.

I want to know if JOSH is a scamer, I already know he's a liar and an arrogant American prick.

Like most Politicians.

1)  Ty to those of you with your eyes open.   BFL (and it appears even some mods on these boards) will try and silence and de-value what they can.  Of course a Micon-discredit campaign is what they will try in all forms.  It is hard to imagine for those of you "in the middle" on this one how evil of an organization BFL is.  to think "they wouldn't have multiple forum accounts report your posts" or "they would never downvote a reddit" is naive at this point.

2)  BFL has of course ordered Josh to order the next round of BitcoinTalk blatently false advertising saying "xxx Gh/s for $x,xxx" which is just false at this stage of the game.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137470.0

Micon, don't fight with windmills.

I think we need a clear investigation. It would be better to attract federal forces.

BFL takes customers' money without any warranty, terms or agreements.

On checkout page they force customers to pay via Bitcoin. The fact of Bitcoin payment will be hard to prove. This is obvious affair.
