LOL what kinda question was that in the first place? people cant just do freaking BASIC research these days and expect to invest in cryptocurrencies. Theyre better of trading groceries for all I know The price seems to be moving up a bit, nice to see. |

I own 100K but now I thought that is time to increase because VERGE (XVG/USD) has phenomenal charts and bullish potential. At curernt price of about half a penny, I'm targeting $5.50. Yes, I know what the market cap would be at $5.50 for XVG.
I hold alot of Verge and believe in the project... but out of curiosity what makes you target such a high figure ? |

For example, doubling the current coin-price would mean marketcap of 2 x the current one = $212,859,956; tripling the current coin-price = $319,289,934 and that places VERGE just outside the top 20 on Coinmarketcap. If VERGE should enter the top 10 (in our dreams probably), we are looking at a minimum marketcap of $1.000.000.000 which is about 9 times the current marketcap or 9 times the current token-price which would place the coinprice on $0,070459 (7 cents). So yes, I would love VERGE to reach 1 dollar but 10 cents would already be amazing, right? |

Seriously, what kind of question is this? Lets assume you're not just trolling the thread to get your post count up and are asking a legitimate question. The answer is quite a few different reasons but to sum it up the blockchain is a ledger that keeps track of every transaction and prevents people from counterfeiting the currency of choice. Digital currencies have been tried before but all have failed due to counterfeiting and double spending(think of e-gold); with the blockchain however thats impossible to do thats why bitcoin is the first of its kind and considered a success story for digital currency. Technically it is possible to double spend but not without owning a huge amount of resources and even then it depends on the chain. |
