Just to unveil maybe a little about me. I am not new to Bitcoin, not at all. Actually, I would consider myself one of the early adopters and I was fighting for the decentralization, the security, and the autonomy of Bitcoin ever since. For example I was investigating (and finally uncovered) a very large surveillance attack on Bitcoin which I eventually made public. This was a big story in the news: http://www.coinbuzz.com/2015/03/15/is-this-startup-threatening-the-entire-bitcoin-network/http://www.coinspeaker.com/2015/03/16/mycelium-chainalysis-blockchain-parse-jan-moller-7699/Of course I have contributed towards the development of the Bitcoin Client itself ... Check in the affiliations: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/blob/master/doc/release-notes/release-notes-0.10.1.md... as well as to NXT (those who know me probably remember the legendary Proof-of-Stake-turns-Proof-of-Work Bug) and Counterparty. There are many more such stories which i either do not want to get tied to myself (mostly uncovering large scale attacks), which I forgot or which I don't have a reference for at the moment. But no way, I will put it on some website and try to use it for advertising Elastic. Elastic is Elastic, Bitcoin was Bitcoin, these are two entirely different projects.

Building useful and task specific tools for everyone is what crypto should be about, I'm glad at least a few in crypto feel the same. Great progress, at this rate we'll be folding before the halving.

Any example for LUA scripts?
We will have to create a large variety of examples for LUA scripts solving different kinds of problems and bundle them, along with detailed descriptions, into an SDK. For now, if you just want to see how LUA looks like, here one simple example. The SHA256 function: https://github.com/catwell/cw-lua/blob/master/sha256/sha256.luaOf course you could use that to build a Bitcoin miner, and let the Elastic network mine for you (this will be one example in the SDK ) Using the "change work" / "abort work" functions you can also easily react to new blocks on the Bitcoin blockchain just as you can react to other events.

This doesn't take off. Surely due to the fact the developers keep themselves anonymous. Not introducing yourselves to the community is rather old fashion and create a big shade on your true intentions.
Not sure why this project does not get that much attention. Probably because it has not hired a whole bunch of promoters, signature campaign users, hypers, sockpuppets and other interesting people who dedicate their time to hype a coin "to the moon". Maybe it's also because no one in the US/Canada/other places can "donate."

Now that i have returned with the coins, it tells me that i'm not eligible based on my IP.

Good to see that more and more people are getting involved @techwriterjoe: Yes that would be awesome, i think we need of course some explanations of what Elastic actually is, what problem it is trying to solve (outsourcing of computational tasks with a decentralized system that both takes care that 1. the computation is performed correctly and 2. the workers get paid reliably), maybe some somewhat (but not too much) technical explanation why the outsourcing of computational power is problematic (keyword, verifiable computation, verification must be easier to be performed without rerunning the entire program, aso.) is a problem. Then (i'm just brainstorming) maybe some general background that there is a genesis block with credits multiple public keys with some XEL, maybe some background info on public/private keys and that the public keys can be redeemed with a signature. I am sure there are many more. Thanks for joining us, I think a skilled writer is something Elastic needed most urgently. @sprocket_fpga: Perfect, you are on the waiting list @Isarmatrose: Yeah, you are absolutely right, it's just a loose formation of devs. Just because I am writing the most here does not mean that I have any authoritiy. Great to see you joining us though, I agree with you that we need a todo list, it would be best to have one where we can actually discuss these todo points (if necessary) and not work just them off silently. Any ideas for a tool that we could use? And would you set one up? @Lust: Well, Lannister obviously has enough Btc by now (looks enough to me) so if you have a great idea how you could contribute and you want some compensation for that i'd just write him a message. I agree we need some kind of bounty platform, but somebody else must organize that as I do not want any involvement in any funds.

Same thoughts, if you honest and clearly state about risk and reward which you DID, what is the problem to be transparent. If project fail, ITS NOT A SHAME. So why the want to stay anonymous? in the end you ask for money, give me the money:) but you cant provide basics like eg. charity does:)

I'm a Copywriter/Content creator, I would love to help you deliver a clear message to the general community, I just started to read about the Elastic project, but the ideas and concepts at the website are a little confusing. Feel free to PM me so I can provide you with some examples.
