There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

This seems like a very interesting coin. I just got back into crypto. Can somebody please, I beg, give a summary of the 64 pages? Since it's hard to get a sense just reading random pages. Has the coin launched, when will it launch, is it to late to get coins or will I have to wait for an exchange?

Personally I like the idea of a nice very round number for the total coin supply, e.g. either 10 million, 100 million, or 1 billion.
100 million could be the optimal number of coins, based on the following logic:
Sample near-term target price per Elastic coin: around 10 cents in Euros or USD, around 0.2 mBtc or 0.0002 Btc (without too many leading zeros)
That would be cheap enough to psychologically feel easy to buy but not Dogecoin levels of needing an astronomical number to pay for anything much.
Anticipated (wild guess) market capitalization: perhaps heading towards a $10+ million level before very long ... which would hence make the prior price target per coin occur
Also, perhaps the interface might eventually show the current equivalent price in fiat currencies as well, sometime after the coin is on exchanges giving price data. (I'm thinking of newbs kind of like me. I have been using cryptocurrencies for a year now but still find it easier to think in cents than in satoshi or even mBtc, especially as the value of Btc fluctuates more anyway).

The donation period for getting coins just ended earlier today. The OP and other posts seem to suggest the hackathon and testnet phases may occupy the next few weeks, more focused on getting it right than rushing, yet presumably followed by when the coin could go live enough for people to get it on an exchange. (Disclaimer: I have no inside knowledge, just having previously looked at the thread and elsewhere to gain enough confidence in Evil-Knievel's apparently excellent coding skills to send in several bitcoin).

I don't know if I can summarize the 64 pages, but I'll answer some of your other questions : the coin sale ( or donation) is over now. You have to wait for the exchanges maybe in 3-4 weeks.

I know that there is an intention to vote on the total number of coins, and there are vast differences between the different opinions. I think it could be beneficial if we had some kind of summary (doesn't have to be made only by one person) regarding the pro's and con's of more vs less coins prior to voting. that could help take a more founded decision.
Thanks.

We could make it Elastic. For those who want different coin amounts they can see their percentage expressed in their preferred way. lol kidding

I think the big advantage of having higher number of shares like 100 million, is market anticipation and the psychology that plays well in most traders' minds. Vote for 100 million !

You are correct, I think a timeline or road-map could be a good thing for investors.

You are correct, I think a timeline or road-map could be a good thing for investors. There are no investors. Lannister collected donations, with no guaranteed reward/profit and no percentual participation in anything whatsoever. Let's not claim anything else! The development is sort of decentralised! There is no "head" who delegates tasks, but there are (meant to be) independent developers who program their stuff, and all parts which are put together by consensus are Elastic. So I can only give a road map for what I am programming which is basically the Wallet, the Reference Client implementation, the Elastic Programming language and the Mining application. I will try to do it today within the next few hours, I was tied up the last 2 days with the voting platform so this got a bit delayed. The voting platform will go online today as well (Lannister I will check it into Github and you could it install on your server, right?)Roadmaps for the website (Isarmatrose is working on it as far as I remember), for Promotions and Articles (I guess Lannister would be the one doing that) and other parts of Elastic (we still need a guy for the block explorer, faucet, etc.) have to be done by those people then.
