There is a fear that Bitcoin could die when we reach the final number of mined coins. What will happen then? Hope that will not happen but it's possible.

Bitcoin is a complete revolution, and it's supported by millions of people around the world. It will not die so easy as you said above.

Not anytime soon, people have used many different kinds of money trough out history, bitcoin will definitely not be the endgame for currencies, but I think it'll have a longer lifespan than the dollar.

Mining is profitable, therefore no one would mine. If some people think it's not profitable, the difficulty will drop, and some other people in some other place with a better ratio of electricity/cost will take advantage of the decreased difficulty to start a mining business... Bitcoin network will always adapt, it's a free market.
No other coin is anywhere near being competition to Bitcoin, so sit down and wait because it's not going to die anytime soon.
This is is the best explanation to your question if Bitcoin will die. Bitcoin is highly adaptable as it was designed that way.

The mining is becoming too expensive and none profitable. I think that will bring Bitcoin to an end. Another problems is that there is only a few miners left controlled by a few making them controlling Bitcoins. It's no longer the currency of the people but a currency of the few rich companies that runs the show.....but for how long can the continue?
i dont think bitcoins going to be ending anytime soon. the currency has too much invested into it for it to just die. if anything it will die slowly, when people start pulling out their funds.

Bitcoin is either going to die relatively soon but if it can overcome that hump then I think it'll be here to stay. It's easy to forget that the reducing block rewards act as a time bomb to an extent.

Bitcoin will not die as long as people dont forgot or waste their bitcoins, every satoshi counts now as the value rises. Its impossible besides almost half a million are now using bitcoin around the world.

If the developers reach a consensus about the future of Bitcoin and put their personal agendas behind I think Bitcoin is here to stay for a lot of years or even decades to come. Everything depends on us - the community behind Bitcoin.

Actually the lost bitcoins increase the value of other coins and as far as main question is concerned, it won't die but in future it might get replaced by another currency.

Bitcoin is not going to die for very long period. It has just started growing like any other currency system. It will need sometime to grow and stabilize. Only if some other better currency system would be introduced,it will die.

Bitcoin has already gained too much momentum for it to die from lack of users or interest. And as long as there are users, there will always be miners no matter the costs of mining. A few people controlling the majority of Bticoins is nothing new, that's a miniature world economy right there. Even the coin you mentioned, no matter how fair the distribution, given enough time, will fall into the exact same pattern. It's unavoidable, that's how the world operates.

why would bitcoin die? its set up perfectly
I'm hoping we get a price increase soon to where we start using Mbtc instead of the .002 etc. As bitcoin evolves it will become easier to understand and less intimidating to common folk who are scared of computers and digital currency.

there are a lot of factors here if the scenario is to happen. the bitcoin price should be very low while block reward is halved a couple of times (which is a long way from now) that will make the fees to go very high so people don't use bitcoin so the (reward + fee)*btc price is not enough to keep the equipment running. also since it is in the future, there shouldn't be any advance in mining equipment and we are assuming it stays the same

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip. Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

When the government accept bitcoin then bitcoin wont die and will be used by many people,if more government can accept it then bitcoin will be the future of money.
