Bitcoin is not going to die even though people stop mining.. As long as currencies will be digital(And as the trend goes, fiat money is also digital these days) so as long as the currencies will be digital bitcoin will not only live, but thrive!

Gold did not "die" just because it is almost impossible to find any more gold by mining in the mountain(At least for regular people to earn money of it) It is still a valuable currency! The same goes for Bitcoin, when something has gotten it value, the value stands! Bitcoin will only grow and grow until it is have replaced regular money "completely"(At least it will be better choice for people than other currencies) People just have to see it.. When we hit the next financial crisis(When the bubble bursts, Bitcoin will be the new safe heaven) Before it was gold, silver and oil.. But none of this have the same protection against inflation, since nobody really knows how much gold, silver or oil it is.. And at the top of that is the oil price dropping, gas and such are not as good alternative anymore!

A decentralised valuta based on services rather than a value(But still with a limited supply) is the only way to make an really safe and stable economy! (Mark my words!)

And remember, we still havent had a really big financial crisis since Bitcoin was born.. Bitcoin was born just after the 2009 crisis.. So now people suddenly have a new safe heaven, and so far regular banksters and people have had no real reason to convert to Bitcoin, litecoin and such.. But as soon america get a new president and they dont support the banks anymore, wallstreet will plummit and Bitcoin price will get so high that everyone sitting on 10 BTC + will be rich!

BTC will be to hold big values, when Litecoin and maybe Monero++ will be used for any small transactions.. And the banks will of course offer their cryptos after a while as well!

If you have seen the Tv series, Mr. Robot, (Season 2 that is on tv now) you can see this plot "in action" where "E-corp" after the big hack where they crashed all the banks and destroyed the market, the released the E-Coin, a cryptocurrency from Evil corp..

But people are tired of the rich getting richer, and bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, are from regular people for regular people, so i think it will have a much bigger chance for sucess! (So sit on your bitcoin, so the banks and governments doesnt buy up every BTC that is and try to manipulate the Bitcoin market as well)

But how big is the market cap in cryptos now? Around 1200 Billion dollars or so? (That is pretty much when you think it really isnt a product, and is pretty new) No other currency in the world have done this.. The one that have been closest to doing so have not been able to do it without selling the soul to their country or so(By selling all of their land, or people or something like that) Bitcoin, or the community have done so by selling an cause.. By selling freedom! And people will gladly invest in freedom when it even earns them money and at the same time offer them a safe heaven for all their assets!

So we have done a really good job people, this is revolutionary, and we should really celebrate! <3

I love all of you that have made this possible, 7 years ago, we had no chance to have a free market if the government wanted otherwise, now we have a free market, and it is growing, and it is nothing anyone can do with it! This is what history will look back and see as what made humans free again!

Namaste fellow pioneers! Smiley

Best Regards

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

The mining is becoming too expensive and none profitable. I think that will bring uᴉoɔʇᴉq to an end. Another problems is that there is only a few miners left controlled by a few making them controlling moondollars. It's no longer the currency of the people but a currency of the few rich companies that runs the show.....but for how long can the continue?

I have been looking at Rimbit  instead since it is premined and therefore don't need the middleman with the expensive hardware for transaction validation. Instead the validation is done by the wallet's running on peoples computers. As I see it it's a currency for the people and it will stay that way. Sadly it's still fairly unknown.

Time will show how long moondollars survive but my guess is not more than 3 years......please challenge that statement with serious arguments.

in my opinion bitcoin will never goes down . since some countries had banned it and also some countries Will ban it but still many countries givea the btc legally useful and they have bank under government so i think i think it will never goes down .

If the user are going to die also their access in bitcoin is also dead, because bitcoin still alive until there has a users continuous to use their services. no one can say bitcoin will die soon.

Yes that is correct. We wont know what would happen. We might be the first one to die rather than bitcoin. There are still so much to be mined so it is unpredictable. One morr thing that makes it stronger.  A lot of big investors are supporting it and bought a lot of btc for investing purposes. I dont think they will let that happen.

Nothing in this world would last forever  also in bitcoin it would disappear or die  in future but for now it wouldnt easily die since its already established and been known already  by some people all over the world and  also there are lots of investors are into it which is somehow its impossible to die easily.

It's going to die when people stop using it. Or that's how I would define death, since death is subjective.

Anyways, I think the pseudo-centralization of mining is a natural part of capitalism. Some have more money than others, and that allows them to buy more mining hardware than said others.

But, in a sense, it's still decentralized since people can still mine. It's just that the rich people I mentioned have the greatest share of hashrate. Just because they control 99.999%* of mining doesn't mean that you can't take your chances and mine with them.

As along as there is a buyer it won't die, I guess what some people term die is the significant drop/crash in the market price against fiat currencies.

Bitcoin will going to die only if end of the world comes. But as long as the people continue investing into bitcoin and using it also, that won't be happen, it is because everyday investor's more coming in.

Yeah it won't die till people continue to use it, and I don't think that people will suddenly stop using it as they are aware about its potential and benefits that it holds.

It is an obvious thing that bitcoin is not going to die that soon because we can see the growth of its user database and the market value of it is increasing day by day, there are almost a lot of places accepting bitcoin in the world and increasing everytime.

That's what you think. Bitcoin will eventually have it's day that it will come to a rest when there is a better crypto to be made. Bitcoin is not unlimited. It's not built to run forever, but it's built to run for a long time and we don't have anything to worry about since that time will come in the centuries to come.

Exactly, and bitcoin buyers would always be there as long as it is being used by someone in any corner of the world and until the user database is increasing it wont let bitcoin die, because things mostly die when they are not used, something in use never dies specially something like bitcoin.

Well, obviously we are believers and don't think that bitcoin will ever die.
But, who can know the future, what may happen in next 50, 100, 500, 1 000 years?
It's very possible that someone will find better, more advance technology in the future which will replace Bitcoin.
Still remember Nokia, or Netscape?
Technology changing very quickly so we don't know what can happen in the future with Bitcoin.
