Ethereum is an exception when it comes to alts. Although it is nowhere close to bitcoin but at the same time in my opinion etherium has taken a position above all other alternate currencies. Even if you want to stay away from it you cannot, atleast not if you want to buy into ICO's.

 Ethereum is good. Infact his the next on bitcoin. Ethereum has great blockchain and powerful smart contract even a hacker will hard to crack it. Same with bitxoin ethereum has big potential. I think i didnt see any negative on him maybe the price?? But his the 2nd big price on crypto..

If you cant take the risk you should stay away from every altcoins but i think if you have the investment and you are a risk seeker, this is the best market for you. and ethereum is a stable and strong altcoin

Hardly the value of BTC can be surpassed even when talking about ETH, there is much talk about the limitations that BTC currently has but just wait a little time and you will see how the same or other limitations appear in ETH, It's only a matter of time.

Etherium is good for sure,because for now around 80-90% of all new coins are made in smartcontracts erc 20 of etherium, so while there is no much another variances in market, etherium will rise in price.

Hi everyone, I've been around for a while now.. 
I've seen a lot of posts positive and negative about Ethereum.

At the moment I am holding Bitcoins, but I have invested in some Ether as well.

Now I am wondering, what are legitimate concerns about Ether (except for IPO, as I've already read this in a lot of posts).

So can anyone bring real other issues to the table, to enlighten me (and maybe a lot of other readers?)

I hope that the author of this thread listened to advice and left ETH for long-term storage. Since 2016 (the beginning of this topic) until today, the price of this coin has grown drastically. From this we can conclude - be calm and believe in crypto.

Yes Ether has been a great investment since the original post, I think it will continue to push higher over 2018 and may begin to take away more of the mainstream media attention from bitcoin. It always seems funny the amount of talk about bitcoin in the media and not ETH.
