Ursul0,

Nice setup) Did you use biostar BTC pro board? I have 1 rig with H110 BTC with 13 gpu where 7 are GTX 1060 and 6 are RX570. While MSI AB recognizes 7 NV gpu I use sapphire trixx to manually decrease voltage for amd cards. All of my cards are flashed to 0.9v but under load voltage jumps from 0.87-0.97 depending on cards. On the other rig with 6 or 7 RX570 and MSI AB using the same modded 0.9v bios all cards hold steady 0.9v.

How do you keep your 12 cards at a firm 0.85v?)

Regards

I have few setups with asrock H110 btc+
As I always suggest: try to never use AB or any other crap for AMD Polaris & Vega. Use overdriven tool (watttool for earlier drivers).

... life is way easier with fixed pcie slot drain... yet I still have some 470refs making me some crispy 12v cables Smiley
https://s14.postimg.org/m6eqcihsh/molex-psu-brnd.png

Gotcha, tnx) One last thing, so it's better to flash bios with modded timings and control clocks and voltage with overdriven tool? Cause I flashed the cards with fixed voltage and clocks already, so overdriven tool is of no help for some reason...

Can somebody point me out the reason why every now and then I get a 23 Mh/s readings? This is constant. Like every 15 reading is 23Mh/s and not 29 mh/s which is getting the average number down...

Card is a ROG STRIX 580 8GB (testing the card in a separate computer at the moment). Bios modded. Under clock ( 930mV, 1100/2150 @ 98w), mining driver installed - what am I missing?

Thank in an advance!

Check EPOCH #
I have the same issue with different EPOCH #

Noob info..

Is it really fundamental to flash the bios of the cards?I ve just set up a 6x xfx rx580 8gb rig..
I get about 170m/hs on eth and 3500mh/s on sia Coin..
No issues or stops in 4 days.. Any way to improve?
Power consumption around 900w..
I just notice that one card is 15% slower than the other ones.

Thanks in advance for any help.. Sorry to be such a newbie

well yes... mod bios will give you lot hashrate more and less power consumption, there is a thread with very expert people and they mod your bios too...

If there are no buyers then it fails to connect; it's up and running on MultiPoolMiner.

Thanks so in other words I need to use the Nicehash Miner? or is there another way to mine directly through Claymore v10.2?

UPDATE: NH back working through claymore although profits not much better than just mining ETH and Sia/Decreed directly

It seems overclocking settings through Claymore10.2 is not working for my RX580 under Ubuntu , I am using amdgpu-pro 17.40.483984.

However, it working in windows 10 where using latest drivers.

Anyone can confirm what driver they are using in order for claymore overclocking settings to work  under ubuntu ?

using these settings (are stable in windows but ignored in ubuntu)
Code:
-cclock 1200
-cvddc 850
-mclock 2080
-mvddc 850
-tstop 85
-tt 65
-fanmin 40

Further, can anyone explain concept of -powlimit ?
If I have -powlimit +30 , does that mean that 30% of more power is allowed to GPU than default ?

-powlim set power limit, from -50 to 50. If not specified, miner will not change power limit. You can also specify values for every card, for example "-powlim 20,-20,0,10".

30% of more power - I think yes, in theory at least, depending on your card. You have already -cvddc 850 ... that can easily crash rig sometimes, and increasing power may help. Just doing test and on the wall you can figure it out.

This thing is stable in windows (modded bios) however, can't see effect of -pwlimit though on the wall meter.

Its 115watt on the wall  (Eth only) and 140w (on the wall) with dual (eth+sc) .  Thing is that it is no where near what  I need, I have seen people going 90w with similar card on wall on ETH only. and 110-120 for dual mining.

Can anyone confirm what driver version I need on linux for claymore to see overclock settings ?

Code:
lspci  | grep VGA

shows its present
However, following shows no driver loaded for it ,
lshw -c video | grep configuration
Code:
letancy=0

on my rig it produces
Code:
       configuration: driver=amdgpu latency=0
       configuration: driver=i915 latency=0
       configuration: driver=amdgpu latency=0
...
Probably you make a typo here, or else it is really an error.
can you see the cards with "atiflash -ai" ?
can you see your amdgpu cards with "clinfo"
try: clinfo|grep "Board name"
and: clinfo|grep "OpenCL"

mysterious for me

Hi, It seems my reply to your post was not posted as Cloudflare was marking it spam somehow.

I tried lots of things but didn't work, finally I went for complete reinstall, configured all again and then install 17.50 with --headless and opencl=legacy , now I can see card but somehow claymore overclock settings are ignored by GPU and hence its not stable though work find in dual boot under windows where it can see claymore oc/ undervolt.

My claymore shows error "AMD ADL library not found", does this hs to do something with it ?

On Linux, for me, the overclock and undervolt options don't work...
ADL is no more working with amdgpu-pro, and it was the lib who was doing the overclock/undervolt

some options works, because of sysfs entries, but I only see fan&temperature working.

if someone can tell me you can change clock or voltage from amdgpu, i'll be happy.

So, I guess then way to work is to install the old driver , which one you think will work ?
I tried 17.40,49xxx 17.40.48xxx 17.50.xxx , all showing ADL error.

The amdgpu-pro v17 never worked for me on OC/UV. I've heard crimson drivers, but with older linux, did work... never tested.
