I can download "Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred_Siacoin_Lbry_Pasca...v10.1 - Catalyst 15.12-17.x - CUDA 8.0_7.5_6.5.zip" from google drive without any issues, but my Windows Defender deletes "Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred_Siacoin_Lbry_Pasca...v10.2 - Catalyst 15.12-17.x - CUDA 8.0_7.5_6.5.zip" as soon as it is downloaded with "This file contained a virus and was deleted".

What is different in v10.2 that causes this issue?

It's normal, some AV's and windows defender included will detect this as virus, just look at your windows settings and firewall to exclude the claymore exe or the entire directory for exemptions.

I understand that, but I could download v10.1 Zip file without any issue and then UnZip  and add executable to the exception list of the Windows Defender. While the v10.2 Zip file is deleted right after it is downloaded, and I do not have a chance to even UnZip it.
So, my question is what is different in the current v10.2 version that causes this issue?

Just turn off your windows defender in settings, that should solve your problem.

Thank you for your response.
My question is: what is different in v10.2 ZIP file that is being deleted by Windows Defender upon download, while v10.1 ZIP file is not deleted.  Huh

Hello fellow miners,

I have a question for the more experienced ones:
Can you give me a complete setup example for Claymore from those who only use Claymore setup and no other programs?
This would be for a rig with multiple AMD cards from different manufacturers. I am running Win 10 FCU, latest AMD drivers, and MSI AB for fan control.

What I want to set-up is individual OC and voltage for each card like:
1st card GPU 1140MHz, GPU voltage 950, Mem 2019MHz, Mem voltage 950
2nd card GPU 1140MHz, GPU voltage 950, Mem 2119MHz, Mem voltage 950
and so on

How should this look like and will it work with MSI AB for fan control?

Thanks

try to reduce your memory clock for gpu4
Also it seems that 10.2 has some new weird issues with amd driver... probably claymore is trying to use more of the buggy driver api

Can someone please help me with Claymore command settings?

I have been mining with ethminer for a while now and using dwarfpool , and I can see my stats on the dwarfpool site easily. e.g. my avg hashspeed etc.
now, I changed to Claymore as I seem to get more MHs, here is my batch file :

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-au.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal MYWALLETNUMBER -epsw x

I also tried adding rig name :

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-au.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal MYWALLETNUMBER/RIG1 -epsw x
or
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-au.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal MYWALLETNUMBER.RIG1 -epsw x

and it still doesnt work, this is the error I get:

Periodically console shows these errors:
"remote management read-only only command miner_restart ignored"
"remote management read-only only command miner_reboot ignored"
But i don't use programs for remote management/restart/reboot!

Does it mean that somebody tries to rule my miner? How can i escape these errors?

I just finished  a 6 x 1060 6GB build.
I am running the latest nvidia drivers and was just testing with the latest version of this miner.

I get like 2Mhs per card @ ETC right now.. wtf ?

The rig is doing 1700 sol/s solid @ equilhash.

Anyone had this issue before ?

Did you try
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-au.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal MYWALLETNUMBER/RIG1 -epsw x -allpools 1?

why do I need to add allpools 1? I actually tried that and the miner is running however, when I check my wallet on the dwarfpool site, there are no ETH deposits and average hashrate is showing as zero so I thought that means its not working ?

Dwarfpool tends to suck at showing you average hashes and your miners stats at 1st for maybe 2-3 hrs dont worry its working, give it a try on nanopool youll see stats in 15 min.

Hi!

my problem is very strange and i cant find a solution to it. The miner starts up great checks my Graphics Card and says all is well. R9 270 btw ... then it starts mining the GPU goes to 100% BUT Core and Memory clock stay at 300 MHz instead of 1400 which is defined in the card settings .. so the card starts but only in low power mode how do i get it to work correctly???

Hi, it's not laziness it's the risk of not being able to mine.
Now I'm running Win 10 1703 (not 1709) and using only MSI AB for everything on beta blokchain drivers.
If I go and do the updates above, and switch to Calymore OC, I can't easily revert so I will have huge downtime.

I just want an example of an working config, not for someone to write my config. Based on that I will adapt it and write my own.

Thanks for understanding.

PS. I also hear that with latest Drivers you AB will not be able to change any settings, does this apply to the fan control also?

I just want an example of an working config, not for someone to write my config. Based on that I will adapt it and write my own.

My config.txt for Dual Mining ETH+DCR with 8x RX 580:
Code:
-esm 0
-etha 0
-asm 1
-estale 0
-mode 0
-dcri 30
-minspeed 232
-retrydelay 2

Thanks.

In config file it says:
# WARNING! Miner loads options from this file only if there are not any options in the command line!

So in start.bat you should only have this:

Code:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

EthDcrMiner64.exe

And then add all options in config file like:

Code:
-epool us1.ethpool.org:3333
-ewal 0xD69af2A796A737A103F12d2f0BCC563a13900E6F
-epsw x
-esm 1
-mode 1
-cclock 1140
-mclock 2080,2070,2060,2200,2050
-cvddc 850
-mvddc 850
is this correct?

1709 completely messed up my miner.
Reinstalling it as we speak.

Is there any other build that also work ?

I checked my .bat file and I don't even have the setx GPU..... commands anymore and i'm fine without it  Wink

I think it's more for 2GB cards, as far as I remember reading OP's post #1.

I build and sell rigs! I also sell ssd clones of the most stable Windows+Claymore+AMD driver combo you'd ever used.

Thanks.

In config file it says:
# WARNING! Miner loads options from this file only if there are not any options in the command line!

So in start.bat you should only have this...

My start.bat file:

Code:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
cmd /K "C:\Mining\Claymore's Dual Miner v10.1\EthDcrMiner64.exe"
Note that I have my start.bat in a different folder, so I am using the above format

Once again, my config.txt file:

Code:
-esm 0
-etha 0
-asm 1
-estale 0
-mode 0
-dcri 30
-minspeed 232
-retrydelay 2
-tt 70
-tstop 77
-fanmax 90
-fanmin 15
-cclock 1140
-mclock 2080,2070,2060,2200,2050,2110,2070,2060
-cvddc 850
-mvddc 850
-platform 1

My dpools.txt :
Code:
POOL: stratum+tcp://dcr-eu.coinmine.pl:2222, WALLET: MyWalletName.MyWorkerName, PSW: MyPassword
Note that MyWalletName, MyWorkerName, MyPassword are specific for my account, you should put yours there

My epools.txt :
Code:
POOL: eu2.ethermine.org:4444, WALLET: 0x0x22D1C05F89dbe036aABFFEc197949E635903C6FA.MyWorkerName, PSW: x
Note that I do not mine on that address (I only accept donations on that address) and that "MyWorkerName" is my personal selection, you can name your miner however you want

As you can see I use ethermine.org for ETH and dcr-eu.coinmine.pl for DCR, which are the ones I personally highly recommend

dpools.txt and epools.txt are where I choose to store wallet information, so that config.txt has only configuration settings
