With the latest wallet update there is a built in wallet miner that will activate all CPU cores and will mine at maximum efficiency!! 

Do you guys thinks it's might be reasonable to mine on Macbook Pro? i7
 

A core i7 you should have no issues mining blocks as that is more then i suspect most are using. however the blockchain has a lot of connections to miners so it may take a while.

Thank you very much! Also the next update will aim at streamlining the internal mining function and improve hashing speed, we will also aim for other improvements and features to be included as well. (Excuse the delay on the auto-updater, we are postponing until the new site launches and is stable)

Anybody tried using a laptop for mining? It is a Lenovo i5 laptop 8GB RAM. I'm using it for work so I thought I could use it for mining as well when it is idle.

Not sure if you can use that for mining mate...you could burn your laptop

Will check out the hashmeter. If you only use a half the cores on a laptop it will be fine, my alienwares have been running for a few days and cpu temps stay around 65 when only using 2 cores.

Of course you don't HAVE to , these updates are NOT mandatory but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The new updates just make it easier to mine and are more secure / intuitive.

The New upate works fine. But I will highly suggest that you do a Swap or something to reduce the 500 Billions Coins.
I know it is your project and your idea but seriously 500 Billions is way too much in these days people will just look to sell
as soon as there is an opportunity especially miners. Give some value to your Coin and not just some Features that probably none
will even notice.

We have released another update!

This includes, a general security update + a working hashmeter built into the wallet to compliment the pushbutton mining feature.

Curretly the STANDALONE version is now available with this latest update, the Installable auto-updating client will be released shortly to follow up on this update.
(We are just taking our time to do it right)
