I have tried multiple power supplies and network cables, powering just the controller, and then hash boards one at a time with zero effects. But I haven't tried connecting it to a different router. I will give that a shot, and see if it makes any difference.
Appreciate the recommendation. I'll let you know how this goes. Bitmain still quiet via a parts request.
Cheers!
You green? Mul-ti-pass!

It's an epic movie. To show how much of a geek I am about that movie: I name each of my miners after characters in the film. Leelo is the S9 with the broken controller board. Hopefully someone can help her out.

Did you try to hit the reset button to reflash the built in firmware?

Yes and to no avail. The RESET and IP buttons are completely unresponsive. When pressed they do not cause any indicator lights whatsoever. I also tried hooking it up to a deprecate router on a separate network, no IP at all. I think it's oat likely the controller is a brick. I've seen the older style controller on earlier batches for sale with Bitmain and others. Some are saying the older style will work fine, but I'm waiting to see what Bitmain says. Maybe they also have the new style available as well.

Can you putty into the controller? Are the network lights blinking at the rj45 connector?

Yes - Orange and Green lights at the RJ connection are blinking. But the Red fault status light and Green normal status light do not flash at all, except when power is connected. Also, the small red lights on hash boards do not illuminate.
Visual inspection of the controller looked normal. No signs of damage or anything unusual.

You can telnet/putty into the miner user/password - root/admin if you have the ip address. I use "advanced IP scanner" to find the ip address. Usually ipreporter.exe(bitmain app) will work when you press the ip button on the miner until it beeps. Need the ip address to ping as well. If the miner cannot get to the internet it won't mine/hash, all bets are off. The networking piece is working if the orange/green are flashing. Means it can get to the router, but won't tell you about internet connectivity.

Please elaborate. I visited this site today but not able to get it is profitable or not or just a scam site I would stay with Bitmain or Avalon for your hardware if you are wanting to go that route. If you are looking into cloud mining, I would go with Bitmain(Hashnest or contract) or Genisis Mining although not as profitable. One other consideration is Altcoin Mining and there you can build your own Rig with GPUs or buy an already built Rig from MintMining.com (this is me) or Panda Miner. Just some advice and options.

This advice is pretty good. I own Avalon direct from them I own s9 and r4 from bitmain I own some cloud hash from hashnest I have a pandaminer I have 40 gpus in diy rigs I built myself. I own a little bit of gear from side-hack. I don't have a gpu rig from airesIV10
