These aren't the Droids you're looking for: S5 & S7 (Sold), R4B2, R4B4 (RIP), 2x S9 obsolete, 2xS15-28, S17-56, S17-70

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Hi guys need some help Smiley , I planing to order some S9 devices. I would like to know what is real power consumption of S9 13,5Ths miners? Can I connect 2 x S9 on Delta 2400w 92+ platinum power supply- Delta DPS-2400AB?
As has been said in this thread a gazillion times: S9 pulls between 1,300 to 1,450w depending on batch. You do the math. And perhaps learn to skim /search threads...

and all the tech specs is on their website

UPS wanted about $43 from me to import the one S9. That's a first.

Got an email and tracking showed "C.O.D. (ICOD)"

Paid of course; I just though the limit was $2500 for them to flag.

I consider buying me such a miner. Never mined before. Is this profitable if I only have one of those Antminer S9? Another question is, maybe its a real silly question, can I mine other currencies than Bitcoin with it? Sorry for the newb questions, I never considered mining before I came across those Antminers.

I'm more concerned than happy, together with the Jan batch selling forever this smells pretty bad.

I was going to order three S9's but it's very late in their life span now. That, and all these coupons coming up for sale (might have been available for long, I haven't searched previously) makes me wonder if it's really a good idea to purchase them now?

Question is how long it'll be until Bitmain comes up with something new, making the S9's I'd purchase obsolete.

UPS
New Castle,  DE,  United States    01/12/2017    16:43    The receiver must pay the duties or taxes due on the package.
01/12/2017    16:43    Import C.O.D. (ICOD) charges are due for this shipment.

I thought there was a threshold of 2500$ before it hits taxes? How can I pay them?

Has anyone had to RMA an S9?

I sent my Oct batch S9 (dissapearing hashboard) to their CA location 3 weeks ago.
They got it, took 3 days to verify that it was under warranty and dead silence since.

Of course their support doesn't reply much besides watching the ticket that doesn't change.

Nope.
I had to pay around 3% taxes on all my 7 orders with the exception of 1. I don't know how but 1 L3+ was delivered without any ICOD. Not sure why, somebody fell asleep somewhere I guess.
