Anyone know how many RU I would need to use in a server room for this?

They are not rack mount units and have not been since the S4. You do not want to run them in a traditional server setting, the price would be outrageous.

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.

perhaps he has already an infrastructure and possible having an empty rack.
as the friend said they are not rack mounted  so you will have to place a bottom so the machine will sit on it.
he height of he miner is at least 10-12 U and maybe more.

i have also a question

i ve been told that placing an antminer to a server room (with low temperatures) makes it unstable and the best solution is using a strong fan in front of it.
but is that true?

Antminers become unstable only in extreme cold or heat. My place gets down under 20f during the winter and the antminers are quite happy to run in the colder months. They would work just fine in a server room.

Im currently running between 85-91C.

under 95 c  is okay

over 100 c is not so good.

in-between 95c - 100c   is unit to unit.

based on  use of 20 units from  June 2016 until now.

also room temps   can be cold  10c  or warm  35c

and inbetween.

I would say anything over 103C is hot. The new 14th/s run really hot. I got windows open and there is currently snow falling and they still run 95-100c

So, for you, having a vent directly to outside with some really highly effective HEPA filters will result in a winter of endless fresh, warm air filling your house, yes?

But I wonder, why not run them in a massively cooled freezer? They misbehave in unusual temperatures?

I ordered 2 PSU and 2 S9's - Notification said PSU's shipped at 1kg each, but for some reason 2 boxes shipped. Are they sending each PSU separate or could one box actually be my S9's?
