That "Polymerbit 1000 GULDEN" note looks nice. Does anyone know how it works? How do you charge/load it with the 1k NLG?
On their website there is no information about it.

I really don't understand people whining and moaning about the lack of marketing from the development team.
Why not put all your energies into marketing Gulden yourselves?
As far as I understand it the dev team have stated that they code and develop the coin but don't market it.  That's the job of the community.
When it comes to advertising with a cost involved then that's different.
But it really costs nothing to publish an article, tweet it, put it on your FB page, write to online blogs etc.
If you're worried about your investment or the lack of recognition for an innovative and ahead of the field coin then get active.
If you're not part of the community then what are you doing hanging around in this thread?

The main advantage of poor or no marketing is the coins are still available  for cheap.

When you buy Gulden it's not about the development which is top notch. The gamble you taking is if they will ever market their achievements.

With 99% of the other coins they market before they achieve which leads to a higher price because traders always trade on future value. The gamble with the 99% is if they will ever achieve the development  they market.

The latter strategy of marketing before development is certainly paying dividends which is why 99% go this route.

It's meant as a cold storage.
You load Gulden on a wallet, write the recovery phrase on the note, doublecheck, cover with tamperproof sticker and you have cold storage, delete wallet from device.
Can be seen as a collectors item too since they do look very cool.

Thank you for explaining. I am buying a note to check it out.

Nice to see trading volume going up a bit on Bittrex.
Attractive NLG pricing for sure.
Impatience makes people do stupid things.
Just be smart and be patient.
Good times will come.

It's not only about lack of marketing. It's also the way Rijk runs his outfit. After two weeks with him you will know. You just get the feeling you can't trust him, because he wants you to accept 100% what he says even when things don't add up and his explanations don't sound right. Oh, he like to blame market manipulators and demon traders. Or "bad luck", or "bad timing". Nothing is ever his fault. If you put good money into this coin or any investment vehicle for that matter, you really want better treatment, better leadership.

I hear what you say and why you feel that way.
My opinion is the complete contrary.  When I have had to deal with him on a personal level he has always been completely upfront, helpful and honest.
If you still hold Gulden then my advice would be to get active and do some marketing.  For your own gain regardless of your misgivings about certain people.  You'll feel better for it I'm sure. Wink

What do you believe is the reason the project is not higher up on this site below? I am using Gulden as an example of how a project with good potential can fail without marketing.

First of all al lot of ICO projects have been launched with higher marketcaps, without real developments, just promisses. If you’d filter out all these projects and look for genuine projects like Gulden, it would be much higher.

I'll grant that a man can behave differently in different settings.

My point is simple. Whether you like it or not, one giant factor in the success or failure of Gulden, is Rijk the man himself. Why? He has made it mostly about himself.

You said it!

He is taking a lot of responsability and decisions. Without nobody taking any responsabilities or decisions most project fail.
He will be the one that people blame or worship. That is it!
I think he will succeed.
Rijk is not closed at all to his community. But he has his filter system. I can not blame him, with all the BS out there!
He his a decision maker and he sticks to his opinions!
It is as it is!

If you go to any business school you will know this. In the best of times, if you have a good, genius dictator running a company from scratch, you MIGHT get moderate success. The moment you're entering broad, mainstream adoption that model always fails.

That's in the best of times.

I really don’t get it, all the fudding about Rijk, get over it. Look at the accomplishments! 💪💪

Gulden has an ROI of over 20000% in the last three years. Not a bad investment so far.
The apps are working smoothly.
New update comming soon, with even further improvements on speed, safety, features, even fucking interest on your account!
Next to that you have a focus on retailers through Nocks offering a competitive plan for accepting Gulden transactions in shops. They are even cheaper then debit card, ideal and credit card payments. Fucking hell!

They did all this in three years! THREE YEARS!

Thanks for all this information. This is the kind of data I am looking for.

Today I have noticed Gulden is ranked 146 on www.coinmarketcap.com which is an improvement on the last few days. Still you might need to figure out why other projects are ranking above Gulden because it is clearly better then a lot of them that have higher valuations.
I was told marketing is the Achilles' heel of the project compared to the others. The person who referred me to Gulden said even scam tokens have higher valuations because of false advertising.

This CMC is -a- way to benchmark one coin against others. Each may decide for himself how valuable this tool is and how comparable one coin is to others.
Just for fun go to CMC, click on [Coins] and select Filter_Non-Minable, Gulden ranks differently there, for what it's worth.

The PoW reward reduction by 20% will be a welcome bonus with this already incredible update. Scrypt miners have neglected Gulden, a coin that is giving their hardware a future. 90% of the coins that were on scrypt have moved off but thanks to the Dev teams brilliant DELTA algorithm Gulden didn't need to go Full PoS, Multi Algo, Merge Mining, change algorithm etc.

Can someone link me all the details for this coin and future development plans.

Pros:
All you need to know is this coin will be the best developed crypto after the next update. Current wallets work flawlessly and they already have innovative features like the link feature.

Cons:
As a quick profit making coin this might be the worst in crypto despite it being the top coin pushing real development and innovation that is going live and not just hype. This is due to lack of marketing and from what others have said a working class community.

Bankers and investors with money to throw away are investing in hype coins because they have confident marketing but a lot of these projects have no deadlines and no one knows if any of them will deliver.

Is Gulden for you?

Gulden is for users who want a future in blockchain and be ahead of the curve tech wise.

Want to make profit then rather choose any one of the other coins in the top 100 who are marketing fantasy as reality.

For a while now I think Gulden is bleeding out, unless some increasing user adoption would happen, maybe, someday... And/or until cryptopians start seeing Gulden as a "low-hanging-fruit" altcoin, waiting to be picked up again...
