I know many staff working in Chinese mining firms receive remunerations in bitcoins. Bitmain actually is one of them. transaction fees from Antpool were paid to their star engineers as incentives.

I would accept bitcoin as a salary. But only a portion of it, like 10% - 15% or so with the option to increase or decrease that percentage on a month by month or year to year basis.
Lol I think it will only complicate your firm they will not have time to calculate 10% for bitcoin and 90% for fiat. I think if you are in doubt with a salary of using bitcoin. you just need to talk and tell me that you want to receive a salary by fiat and the problem is finished

Well, it's too difficult making calculate about that. I never think he's firm is would make a payment like this. it's same with, not having a principle. just calculate your portion into bitcoin and using your salary to buying a bitcoin in your portion of needs.

Its a huge risk around bitcoin, if you get your payment at bitcoins and arent able to purchase the things you need, you will risk to loose money exchanging your bitcoins into fiat.

Yes I will but only if my bank accepts it. Because I don't want to have bitcoin in my wallet with which I cannot buy groceries... what's the point then?
So if it is accepted by the bank, I would accept it... I know its a risk but maybe a risk worth it because it can pay off too.

Yes, at this time I would accept bitcoin for my salary.  I do not have a lot of financial obligations so I am ok with volatility.

Life will always be spinning bung, so indeed you should be saving as much as possible for your future that haven't we can see and guess. The way you are good enough for your future to be better, because the bitcoin is a currency that is special and has the advantage of good

yeah even though you do not have any obligations such as paying taxes, or provide for the family as a child and a wife but life will always turning and time will always be running you can not just continue to playing. you must have a plan for your future yeah probably get a salary in bitcoin is not a problem but you have to take advantage of it to saving and growing. before salary from bitcoin becomes a problem

I think the problem of receiving salary in terms of bitcoin is the fluctuation of the price other than that bitcoin is great. For now you can take advantage because the value of bitcoin is very high but when the price will go down i think that is the biggest problem of the people who are receiving their salary in terms of bitcoin.

With $650 price, why not? Bitcoin can grow more at any day and it's very good so at my opinion better to recive salary in bitcoins. But for somebody it's maybe not so good
There are only two things, the price may fall or rise. Actually a guy who is doing job means he has a lot of responsibility on his shoulder and he can not gamble with the price of bitcoins and if bitcoin price levels goes down he will be in enormous trouble even threatening to trouble too.

If I am working online, I may accept to get my salary on bitcoin because of its low fees. but if it is an offline job, why would I get it in bitcoin then I have to exchange it ? getting it directly in fiat will be easier
actually i would say that fee's are bigger on btc than if i get bank transfer or something,at least in my case.
But it is comfortable for me and i see for you too,and this is the most important thing about recieving salary.
But i do not think you like if you get salary unstable because the price of bitcoin is fluctuating its good if the price is high and how about if the price will go down i think you will protest in your company.
yeah i think the fluctuations would be a consideration if you're not lucky maybe you get your salary then the price down. yeah maybe you're going to complain about it.so if you can not accept it so it is better not to receive a salary with bitcoin. very simple

Same. I think the ratio of people who knows bitcoins is around 1 out of 500? Not really sure, but that's a pretty good-rough estimate.
I too would have loved to receive my salary as bitcoins because not only the fact that the value is most likely to increase, but knowing that you have a lot of coins is something that I can feel good about.

Apart from the discussions made so far, the biggest question is that why the employer will offer salary in bitcoins ?
He might simply link you to localbitcoins and ask to buy from there as much as you want lol Tongue

A great idea yes as of now. But the fact that it might go down is a scary situation. I dont want to get broke at that moment. What if I need to spend at that time and the bitcoin exchange is too low that it will just left me a little.

Employers in the IT sector particularly vested into Bitcoin development and similar businesses might offer that possibility of getting paid in Bitcoin, also I have seen job offerings for freelancers that are paying in Bitcoins for the jobs done. However I don't think that Bitcoin as a salary is the perfect option for everybody and it's better to offer remuneration packages in Bitcoin as an extra perk and not as a main option for employees. Personally I would like to be paid a normal salary in cash which I could buy however much Bitcoin I would need with.

This is why I am still sceptic about getting my salary in bitcoin. The face value of arrival can be a lot less then your actual salary.
